  • Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help team here! Hm... this sounds like a very specific issue that's going to take some thorough investigation. We'll need to be able to take a look at the specific Campaign you're looking at and the site you're seeing keywords for in Keyword Explorer. Please write in to us at help@moz.com with all the details of what you're seeing, and we'll do our very best to help you out!

  • It's going to be a while -- possibly a year or more -- before we have good data for KWs outside the US. In the meantime, I'd suggest SEMRush, KeywordSpy, SpyFu, or Ahrefs, all of whom have fairly robust KW data sets outside the US.

  • Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help team here. That's a known bug with the MozBar, unfortunately. It has trouble reporting the country where the site is hosted accurately. The only thing we can do about it is report the issue to our engineers, and for that we'll need you to write in to us at help@moz.com. We'll need to gather some further details from you to send over to our engineers. Please drop us a line at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to help you out.

  • Hi there James, Sam from Moz's Help Team here - thanks for reaching out and sorry about the trouble here! I'd love to investigate this thoroughly for you - could you please pop a message over to help@moz.com along with your primary Moz account email address, and the name of the campaign you're seeing this occur with, along with one or two example URLs for the 404s we're picking up so we can take a look and run a few checks on the backend? Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • Hey there! The 'Document Text' does refer to the text on the page - I'm afraid though it is possible that the On-Page Grader isn't counting keywords used on the page correctly. We have seen this before, and the team has made the decision that they're not going to be pursuing fixes for the On-Page Grader tool at this time. The same functionality is available through the Page Optimization section of your campaigns, and in the Page Optimization tool from the MozBar, and those tools are far more reliable than the On-Page Grader. We'd recommend using the these instead for all your Page Optimization needs going forward. If you're still running into the same problem using the Page Optimization tool, please do pop a message over to help@moz.com with an example of a keyword/URL combination, and we'll be more than happy to investigate.

  • Hi Jon, I have sent you more information via your support ticket in regards to our crawlers inability to find links from the subfolder used to set up the Campaign to the rest of your pages. Please do let me know by replying to the support ticket if the information I provided helped at all. Best Jo :]

  • I feel that the search volume shown in MOZ is generally low compared to other sources. I feel it is more accurate with search terms that have a lot of volume, but in search terms that are under 1000 searches a month, I start to have a lot of problems with the data. Many times there is no search volume data at all for lower volume keywords which get just a few hundred searches per month or less. Problems with the volume data effect almost everything else in Moz so I hope MOZ sees this and tries very hard to correct these issues.

  • You're a star Jo! Thanks so much. Was such a simple fix. The site has been sitting there and I need to get it going again. Just required the https to be added on the theme. Never complained it was missing. Recrawling now so hopefully that will sort out the issues with Site Crawler, class tool! I never would have spotted it without it. Have a great weekend. Emer

  • Hi David, I noticed the same issue, the domain hosted looks like its in the UK but in WHO.IS it is in Ireland. Where do MOZ scrape this information from and does it affect SEO? Many thanks, Jayne

  • Hey there! By "checked it in my private mode", do you mean that you used an incognito browser to look at your rankings? It's important to note that Moz checks rankings in a process that completely strips personalization from the query, which means it's more representative of a national average for all searchers in the country. You would not necessarily be able to reproduce these rankings in your browser because things like location are factored into your search results (even when you are incognito). One option to replicate rankings results is to use the search profile feature in the MozBar, which does strip personalization. If you're seeing a drop in rankings, you might also checkout out the MozCast to see if there were any spikes in volatility around the time when we collected the data. If you are still concerned about your rankings, feel free to drop us a line at help@moz.com with your campaign details. We'll be happy to look into any questions you might have.

  • No, it's not in thousands, if you see 11 – 50 it means that there were less than 50 searches with this keywords last month in your chosen region.

  • Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. It looks like your site's robots.txt file is returning some errors to our tools. When I try to visit the robots.txt file from the root domain, which is where our crawler starts, I get a warning that the DNS address can't be found: https://www.screencast.com/t/ezfsiyVso4B9 That same file is returning a 503 error to our crawler: https://www.screencast.com/t/ROlNo8AQz That robots.txt file doesn't redirect anywhere, so you may want to consider putting in a redirect there to your robots.txt file at http://www.dateideas.net/robots.txt. The reason you're seeing 0 issues reported is that we weren't able to reach your robots.txt file, so we stopped crawling and didn't have any issues to report. I would speak to your web developer or whoever manages your site for you about making sure that your robots.txt file is fully accessible to our crawlers and can be reached in a browser. I hope this helps! If you've still got questions, feel free to shoot us a note at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to sort everything out with you!

  • Hey there! Sorry for any confusion about this. Your monthly data reports are a summary of your weekly collections, so we need to have at least 21 days worth of campaign activity within a single calendar month in order to compute the monthly roll-up. June will not have a monthly data roll-up for this reason, but you should see July data come through in the early days of August. I hope that clarifies what's happening!
