  • Yep! All the metrics and issues you would see reported in the Crawl Test tool are reported in the Site Crawl section of a Moz Pro Campaign. Cheers!

  • Moz's Keyword Explorer is much nicer. I couldn't find any additional benefit to your tool, unless you can explain.

  • Hi there, Leanne, Oh dear, that doesn't sound right! Unfortunately, we're going to need to take a closer look at exactly which kind of report you're trying to pull. Please write in to help@moz.com and we'll do our best to sort things out with you. It's really hard to do this kind of support in the forums. Thanks!

  • Hi there, Sam from Moz's Help Team here - thanks for reaching out and sorry about the trouble! Unlike the rest of the metrics available in Open Site Explorer, the Spam Score doesn't update each month with the rest of the index update. The Spam Analysis section updates on a completely separate schedule, and much less frequently; usually around every 6 months or so. So it's entirely possible that you're seeing Spam flags that are no longer relevant to your site. It's always best to trust your instincts: for example, if you know you've got contact info on the site, and we're flagging you for it being missing, you can safely ignore that warning. I hope this helps - let me know if you have any further questions!

  • By clicking on your Spam Score rating on the Inbound Links tab of Open Site Explorer, you can see which specific factors you're being flagged for. The flags represent a wide variety of potential signals ranging from content concerns to low authority metrics. However, this does not mean that you need to 'change' these things, rather it's just an indication to be aware of them. For more information on how Spam Score works, I recommend checking out these articles: Spam Score: Moz's New Metric to Measure Penalization Risk Understanding and Applying Moz's Spam Score Metric - Whiteboard Friday I hope that helps! • Hi there, Thanks for the question! I can certainly speak to Keyword Explorer's numbers and how we arrived there. We use a number of sources for our volume data, including Keyword Planner, but oftentimes you will see large discrepancies because our data goes through a disambiguation process. As you noticed, Google Keyword Planner currently bundles similar keywords into one overall volume metric. Most people want specific data rather than a grouped number, so we strive to separate out the individual keyword volumes. You can read more about that here: https://moz.com/blog/google-keyword-unplanner-clickstream-data-to-the-rescue The trouble is that often times you will have one keyword that is responsible for upwards of 95% of the traffic. So, when the data is separated out, it makes the less-trafficked keywords look suspiciously low when in fact their traffic volume is more accurate in our tool. We have a few additional articles that discuss our volume data compared to Keyword Planner: https://moz.com/blog/google-keyword-planner-dirty-secrets https://moz.com/blog/moz-keyword-explorer-vs-google-keyword I hope that helps clarify things!

  • There are definitely other optimizations you can do, and Visual Composer may not be the biggest slowdown. I just noticed when I viewed the source code that it was inserting a lot of separate CSS files and so it may be contributing some. Other optimizations like going through PageSpeed Insights' recommendations may get you farther. But any themes and plugins you use on a WP site, those resources are loaded across the whole site - even on pages they're not used on. So in a lot of cases, selecting a premade theme or having one built from scratch can make your site a lot faster than using page builders. Basically it's a tradeoff: do you want to pay someone to code a theme specifically for you and do the heavy lifting up front (or make design compromises and use a well-coded prebuilt theme), so the code that renders to visitors is lightweight; or do you want to just go wysiwyg on the admin side, so the code that renders to visitors is bogged down but you don't have to hire a developer?

  • I agree with Steve that there is a lot of flux in SEMrush lately.   My take on much of the flux is below..... SEMrush Position tracking is showing a lot of false flux lately for a couple of reasons. 1)  They don't identify your position in the SERPs and report it as "not in top 100".  If you click to see the cache that they used to obtain the rankings your domain is there. 2)  Google has been inserting and removing a link to the image results at the top of many SERPs.   "Images for [your query]"   When present, SEMrush is counting this link to the image results as position #1 and the result is all results below are pushed down one position.  When not present, all of the results below move up one position.  You don't notice this very much in your visibility score if you are on the second page.  However, if you have keywords that rank in the top three or four it can make a huge change in your visibility score. And...   Google does seem to be experimenting a bit and even losing track of a few pages for the keywords that they typically rank for.   So, yes there is a little more flux in Google, but the number changes in many of the tools are a result of contaminated data and bad data collection.

  • Name Twins! We're just checking for the word "mobile" in the code on your site in a couple of different languages. You can definitely still rank well in mobile search engines while that column says "False." Sorry for any confusion! If you've still got questions, feel free to give us a shout at help@moz.com and we'll see what we can do to sort things out with you.

  • Hey Todd! Sorry for the delay in my reply. I copied out your body code from your site into a text doc and then did a simple cmd+f for "hyperbaric chamber", without a hyphen. I then scrolled through and sense checked the results. That's how I came back with 22. I know it's a bit of a hacky solution and not completely foolproof. A bit of news on the metrics you are after. I've heard back from my team that we're looking to get those added to Page Optimization in Moz Pro. I'm sorry I don't have a solid timeframe for the work, but it is in the pipeline from what I have heard Cheers! Jo

  • I have uninstalled the extension and reinstalled it - it's working now. Strange, as it is the same version number. Regardless... happy days!

  • Hey Andrei! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. I took a look at that site, and I don't actually see any H1 tags in the source code for that page: https://www.screencast.com/t/DJEjjTWprW6 I think that's why our tool isn't finding the keyword there — it looks like that tag doesn't exist! I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's anything that needs clarifying! You can always feel free to drop us a line at help@moz.com.
