  • Just a note that we've discontinued the old Crawl Test tool and have launched an entirely new On-Demand Crawl tool based on our upgraded Site Crawl engine (launched last year). The new tool has an enhanced UI, entirely rebuilt back-end, full export capability, and will save your old crawls for up to 90 days. We've written up a sample case study or logged-in customers can go directly to On-Demand Crawl.

  • Hey Brett! Are you referring to refreshing a keyword list?  You first need to select the keyword checkbox and then hit refresh.  If they are not selected, they will not refresh.  If you are encountering problems, even with these instructions, please send us an email at help@moz.com so we can assist you! Thanks

  • Hey!  Dave from the Help Team here, Most discrepancies in keyword rankings are caused by the way Moz is querying Google and other search engines. Our process completely strips personalization from the query. This means that it's more representative of a national average for all searchers in the country, but it also means that you may not be able to reproduce these exact SERPs within your browser because your location is factored into your search results. One of the SEO experts in our community offered a really great explanation of this difference here. If you are seeing some big discrepancies that don't seem to make sense to you, please shoot us an email at help@moz.com with some examples, we would be happy to take a look for you! thanks

  • Hi there! Thanks so much for reaching out with this and sorry for the trouble. Our engineering team has deployed a fix for this and PDF reports should now be exporting as normal. If you're still having trouble with this, can you please send an email on over to help@moz.com so we can take a look? Thanks so much!

  • Hi there, Thanks for the question! Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. These questions fall outside of product support and into SEO consulting. Unfortunately we don’t offer consulting advice through our support channels. Because we're not an SEO firm, we can't offer specific SEO advice on what might best help your site, but we do have a list of recommended firms, and a really awesome community forum full of SEO professionals who will answer your questions for free! If you are looking to build your own capabilities, we have several SEO classes and custom training options on the Moz Training page. Core classes include keyword research, on-site optimization, and link building. Check back often there as the class schedule updates regularly.

  • Am I right in thinking that having increased the acceptable length for meta descriptions Google have now reverted to the old length? Yoast is now saying that meta descriptions that were OK are now too long.

  • Hi there, Thanks for the question! The answer is that Moz actually uses more robust depersonalization methods when querying for Google rankings. Our process completely strips personalization to provide a result that is more representative of a national average for all searchers in the country. You may not be able to reproduce these exact SERPs within your browser even if you used incognito, because your location is factored into your search results. So, there can be a lot of variation in what different people, searching from different computers/locations, might see in the rankings. Our solution has been to run searches from a variety of IP addresses and IP blocks using non-personalized, search history/location-agnostic requests. In our experience, these have provided the most accurate results. I hope that clears up how that works!

  • Hey Matt, In terms of improving your Domain Authority, it's best to look at both you on-page SEO to make sure you've covered the basics. Then you also want to look at your off-site SEO and building more links more links to your site. There are lots of different areas of Link Building to explore, from patching up broken links, improving your internal link profile, and good ol' fashioned content creation. Here is a great video by our founder Rand which goes over some easy link building tactics to get you started. If you have any specific questions about our tools, feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com I hope the above helps, have a great day! Eli

  • Hi there! Have you tried looking at SEMrush organic research? As long as SEMRush index has your site and country you target it could probably show you those searches where your site is ranking for Featured Snippets. Just checked it and you need to: Enter your domain, Select "organic research" in the left panel In "Advanced filter" options select:  a- SERP features b- Featured Snippets (check image attached) Hope it helps Best lukc. • Hey! Great question! The data is the same, however, Link Explorer (not in Campaign) allows you to Compare Link Profiles (i.e. compare more than one URL) - https://moz.com/help/guides/link-explorer/compare-link-profiles Whereas Links within your Campaign allows you to check out link opportunities - https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-pro-overview/links/opportunites The rest of the features are the same Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be more than happy to help! Have a great day! Eli

  • Content suggestion has a lot of data. I probably can also find some prominent keywords with the keyword tool and by combining both I should be fine to develop good content. Is it the way you look at it too ?

  • Hi There, The duplicity of keywords can be due to meta tags and their usage. Please share the code of the website if possible. Best Regards, Vijay

  • Good spot! I'd love to investigate this further. I’m wondering if you can provide me with a screenshot of the page you’re working on with the developer tools open? That way I can get this over to an engineer if needed. You're welcome to email this to me directly at help@moz.com What version of Chrome are you running? What is your OS version? What version of the Mozbar are you using? You can check from this page: chrome://extensions/ Screenshot of the developer tools with the Network tab and Console tab open which you're searching on Keyword Explorer To open your developer tools, you can follow the below steps: Chrome: From the view menu at the top of your screen, head to developer and then developer tools. https://www.screencast.com/t/22xnisnx Firefox: From the menu on the top right of the screen, click “web developer” and then toggle tools. https://www.screencast.com/t/8vh2g1LF It would be especially helpful if you could include a screenshot of the network tab as well as the console tab for us. Here is an example of what we would need to see: https://www.screencast.com/t/HjgvAB5WSPYj Thanks so much for your patience while we get this worked out! Once we have these screenshots we can do some more investigating. Cheers! Jo

  • Solved: Open your Keywords List and select (check box) all of keywords that say, "unavailable."  Click, ". . ." to expand menu and select, "Refresh."
