How Do You Organize Your Bookmarks?
Thanks for all the responses! I use FF with folders and subfolders for the bookmarks. Also, I use the add-on "Read Later" for RSS posts I want to take a look at which is pretty convenient. It's just always interesting to hear what solutions other people are using.

Secondshells.com has $3k a month to spend on SEO & marketing. HOW should I spend it & with whom?
Hi Micheal, First of all, congratulations on your endeavor. Looks like you've done a lot of hard work and you should be congratulated for your efforts. Finding a good SEO firm can be both challenging and rewarding. The range of talent out there runs from super to snake oil salesman. Whoever you hire, be sure to do some research. Ask for a list of clients and recommendations (sometimes, for practical reasons, they can't provide this) Talk to folks who have used the service. Ask about certifications, training, philosophy and influences. And most importantly, ask about the techniques they will use. A good place to start is the SEOmoz Recommended list, although most of these folks might be out of your price range. A lot of good SEOs hang out here in the Q&A, and if you check their reputation you can often find a good "up-and-comer" that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for SEO services. First and foremost, I'd look for a firm experienced in link building, especially in your situation. Wish I could suggest someone specific, but you fall in that tight area between doing it yourself, and hiring an outstanding firm. Regardless, best of luck with your SEO!

How do I keep my question coming up to the top (first page) of SEOMoz?
Hi Geoff, Thanks for your response. Here are the 2 other questions I've posted: How do you prioritize your SEO efforts? What are the Priorities for Site Optimization? I don't want to rock the boat but the best way for me to learn is to engage people in a forum like SEOMoz...I kinda feel like my questions are getting lost in the sea (forum). Thanks again!

Google Search Quality Team - Commission Based Reviews
Just for clarification - the outsource individuals I had heard about back in 2004-2006 were in the EWOQ team. FYI: http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/006791.html I had thought that outsourcing the reviewing had stopped though many years ago and the manual reviewing was done internally by GOOGLE now. The documents (PDFs and such) that I was sent tonight by these reviewers was dated 2012. They are very lengthy documents on what to look for and what to penalize for. My conversations with said reviewers were quite amazing. Their lack of knowledge on what to look for and what constituted gaming the system (GH / BH as opposed to natural links etc) was at best laughable. It just bothers me that a company that is one of the largest on this planet cannot have a team in house that is continually trained on reviewing and tested regularly. Reviewing is important. It is necessary. It is critical for good search results. All I ask that it is done equally, fairly and by a company that is tested regularly for quality standards themselves and not commission based individuals. [falls off soap box - but then watches the Mayweather fight again :)] Carlos

What are some good organizations an SEO company can join that are strong trust signals?
I agree, BBB is a definite must. $400 is peanuts for that seal on your website and the trust it builds for you in a user's unconscious mind.

Whingers and Winners
I have to say that the word whinger is most commonly used in the term, "a whinging pome". In regards to immigrants from the UK constantly telling us, its not like that back home. Probabaly a unfair sterotype, but i am sure has a few simular about us.

Google Webspam Algo Update 24/4/12
"Something to note is that the problem could fix itself. Out of that 3-5% of the queries impacted, some sites are gonna get hit incidentally. Google seems to be decent at spotting these over time and fixing it. Sometimes people get the short end of the stick though." Thats a very good point. We have often notice websites take a hit after an algo date, only to come back a few days or weeks later. One thing is sure- this seems to have affected quite a lot of sites. The site we have seen drop has a very natural link profile and no "over optimisation" in terms of keyword stuffing etc. There seems to be alot of poor websites that have benefited, as mentioned- blank sites now ranking #1 on google! Lets hope we some further tweaks in the near future as currently it seems that there have been a lot of "incidental" hits!

Site search
how about a CMS that has built-in search functionality. some CMS' even go further and provide separate SOLR searching plus indexing and not just a pure database based one (faceted search etc.). My choice DRUPAL!

Anyone interested in meeting up in Central NJ next week?
Thought I'd just post a reply to see if anyone else is interested. It looks like we have about 8 people going to discuss Joomla and SEO, and probably 10-15+ to discuss blogging, so it should be a good turnout for the first meetup. Vinnie

Does anybody know why my domain name is up to sale?
Thank you everybody in town to help me, it just turned out that the workplace website had been hacked. My web space provider cannot facilitate the latest version of WordPress at the moment which means unfortunately we haven't got the best security, but hopefully that will change soon. I've uploaded the website again and all is well at the moment.

How to search adwords properly
A couple of things to keep in mind that no everyone who searches on a word (especially a broad single-word query) will actually click a result. They may look at the result and realize that they need to narrow it down, and not click on anything. It's really hard to tell search intent from a one-word query like gold. Is it a fifth grader who is searching for a classroom assignment about gold? Is someone wanting to know about gold so they can buy gold jewelry? Do they want to know the current price of gold? Are they interested in investing in gold?

How do you determine the level of an SEO
Hi definitely agree with the point you made about marketing. I have always believed that a top notch SEO should have some insight into the workings of marketing in general to better assist a business in making use of the internet to generate sales. I also believe this to be true for PPC managers by the way but more so for SEOs

A longer vanity URL vs an abbreviated URL if keywords are not included in either which is better for SEO? The URL's in question "WhiteGloveInternational.com" vs "WGIVIP.com"
Just my opinion, Although "WhiteGloveInternational.com" is bordering a bit on the lengthy side It still seems to roll off the tongue quite nicely and it is easy to remember. Personally like it. It seems like whiteglolveinternational.com is established, if that is true I would certainly stay with that URL. But if your intent is to create a new URL I would do the following. 1-Keep your URL at fifteen letters or less 2-Include key words in the URL that are relevant to your site. 3- Avoid hyphens, dashes, etc. 4- Make sure the URL is easy to remember and makes sense to the user and the bots. Unless WGIVIP.com has the potential to become the next zappos, or google I would avoid it. That would be my advice. Best of luck.
