How to get bullet snippets SERPs
It seems as though you're referring to sitelinks. I'm referring to one link with bullet points, all from the same page. Ic5LA

Can anyone explain these changes to our Titles in the SERPS?
Barry at Search Engine Roundtable has written about Google choosing their own page titles for your site, and I've seen reports of it here as well, so you're certainly not alone. Here's what Barry has written: http://www.seroundtable.com/google-title-selection-12989.html http://www.seroundtable.com/google-title-tag-13704.html

Are the latest Ranking Reports counting the new large format site links as positions?
Hey all! So, we recently released a fix for our tools that solves this issue of counting those site links towards the top 10. If you do see this happening in your rankings in SEOmoz, though, feel free to email us at help@seomoz.org any time. Thanks again for the heads up Jamie!

SEO Link building / Article Distributation
Hi there, If you are referring to Press Release information which you submit to online services, they are not an issue for you because they should not be on your site. The intent of a press release should be to put your product or business in front of journalists etc who are likely to take the information and write a good quality unique article that talks about you. A press release should be carefully constructed to increase the chance of having it picked up, so if you used the exact same content on your site it would not be likely to inspire visitors to convert. If you want some ideas on how to write releases, do a quick search for "how to write an online press release". Most of the services provide guidelines on their sites too. As long as the information on your site is unique then any duplicate problem is only an issue for the sites your release is listed on and not for you.

Title of home page is changed to domain name in SERPs
Google is doing this to lots of sites. They do it in the organic SERPs and also in Adwords. My sites have this problem too. I believe that it is a service to some webmasters who have a nice domain but write crappy title tags but it also hides brilliant marketing.

Forum software penalties
If you a bit of it on a well established site with many highly trusted links, It may have a postive effect. If you did lots of it on a brand new site, It may do more harm than good.

"Revisit-after" Metatag = Why use it?
Haha thanks for the example Ryan. OK, I think I should let my web developer know, he seems to put it on all of his sites (he knows his stuff so maybe it's an old habit he's never bothered to research). Your example prompted me to find the following page: http://www.seoconsultants.com/clueless/seo/tips/meta/ Quite a good read IMO.

Is Bing an Important search engine for traffic
I agree with Julian; follow the same SEO tactics that you would on Google. All search engines are important... Google has a higher importance because it has so many more users, but I wouldn't negate Bing/Yahoo. If it brings you more traffic, even if it is little, it is still traffic and that can be converted into a customer.

Siloing Architecture with Large Inventories
If you have links to 100 category pages on your homepage and each of those category pages links to links to 100 subcategory pages, each linking to 100 products then that should give you 1 million products, none deeper than three clicks from home.

How Google Determines Sitelinks
I think navigation probably plays a large part, as well as website structure. If you have clear navigation with obvious subcategories you are more likely to get these pages as sitelinks. I have seen sites with no clear structure in the navigation have some strange pages picked for sitelinks - the pages were quite deep ones which kinda rules out PR or page strength. I also know that Google needs to determine that these results will be useful to a users query, so that fits in there somehow.

Google product feeds
Hi Martin, I would create password protected URL say theofficesuppliessupermarketonline.com/google_shopping.xml and let Google shopping crawl that URL, saves you having to upload it all the time! I would set it to crawl the feed daily, there's no harm in having it regularly updated. To optimise the feed, just use the common methods: competitive price keyword usage in the product name free delivery reviews (rich snippets) Store Name Brand Category MPN GTIN the other additional field such as weight, colour etc will also favour you, the more info you can send over on the product the better, you could even be sneaky and create specific product sets for Google base that include promo text in the product title? Cheers Jamie

Why is a link considered active, but is no longer on the page?
I think Open Site Explorer uses the Linkscape link index which is updated monthly. So it is very possible that the link was taken down or moved to a different page (common with blogs when the link falls off the homepage) since the last time Linkscape was updated. Another tool I use to check links is SEOHeap which is free and you can quickly check whether a link is active by clicking a button next to the link data.
