Ok so i've done all my keyword research and have a good list of keywords, now what do I do???
Hi Jack, You have a list, that's great! Have you qualified the keywords to decide which ones should take priority? Usually I like to break them down into categories (informational, by product, language etc.), main keywords (usually higher competition, but they are my long term goal) the long-tail keywords. Sometimes you can rank for them just by writing a blog post about the topic, especially if it is good and it goes viral). I wrote an article about how we do this for Spanish language projects, but the principles are similar in any language: http://notjustseo.com/blog/spanish-seo-keyword-research-on-a-budget/ Then you have to create your site architecture. Since you have the keywords broken down into categories this should be relatively simple. I won't go into too much detail here other than to say that we like to yous Mind Manager to lay it all out. There are a ton of great posts about how to do this, here are a few: http://www.wordstream.com/blog/ws/2010/04/22/seo-site-structure-webinar http://www.seomoz.org/blog/keyword-research-using-categories Then you have to start building your content. Any other questions?

Keyword cannibalization - blog posts vs. site content
Gotta disagree with this one. Creating high quality blog content with the same keywords you are targeting on your products page can be a good strategy. The blog post will add more content related to your keyword on your site, increasing relevancy. It's also a lot easier to build links to a blog than a product page. Just make sure to link from the blog post to the product page, and the product page can get a boost. If you rank really high in Google, you could even get 2 listings for that keyword. If for some reason the blog content outranks the product page, you can just take that same content and throw it on the product page with a canonical from the blog post. If all else fails, you can 301 redirect it.

Check competitors keywords
Hi Danish, Discussion of this type of feature comes up a lot in around SEOmoz when talking about what would be cool and useful. Unfortunately, the ability to automatically check what keywords your competitors are ranking for is not part of the current PRO feature set. That said, it's a really good idea. I highly encourage you to add it to the PRO Feature Request. To my knowledge, no other member has officially made this suggestion. Once it's in the request log, other members can vote and the product team gauges these votes to determine what to build into the platform. In the meantime, my preferred tool for this type of competitive keyword analysis. http://www.semrush.com/info/amazon.com%20%28by%20organic%29 I find it's accurate within a degree of tolerance compared to the other tools out there. Thanks again and best of luck with your SEO!

What does branded mean?
Keyword: work jeans Branded keyword: Carhartt work jeans Title: Work Jeans for Men Branded Title: Carhartt Work Jeans for Men If a keyword is branded (meaning there is significant keyword searches that use the brand in the search), I move the brand to the head of the title. If the keyword is not branded, I don't put the brand on it or if there are several products to play with, I'll do both and put the brand at the head and at the back of the title: Work Jeans for Men by Carhartt or Carhartt Work Jeans for Men

Ranked 1 and 2 in Google and not getting many hits
Well said. I agree and checked into the keyword(s) as well and was returned the same quantity. I to would suggest looking into alternatives to that keyword. If one chooses at looking into long tailed keywords there are lots of opportunities here.

Run a batch of keywords 1 by 1 through Adwords Keyword tool
I was looking through some old questions of ours and saw that this one is still open. However, seogadget has obviously solved this problem when they introduced their Google Adwords Excel Plug-in!

Inbound Writer for WordPress Feedback
Daniel, I should have been more clear. I would not work with a client who produces automatically created content. The goal is to use the software to generate ideas related to the content and to learn about additional references and areas where the topics are being discussed.

Search Engine Rankings Going Down
Look at your Google Analytics and check April 24th. This is the date Google's Penguin rolled out. If you see a drop that day, then watch these two videos: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/6-changes-every-seo-should-make-before-the-over-optimization-penalty-hits-whiteboard-friday http://www.seomoz.org/blog/whiteboard-on-googles-penguin-update If your copied site was indexed and your old site lost traffic, then your copied website would probably be out ranking your old site. If it is not, then there is something else. Look into GWT to see if there is something you can find there.

Few questions about panda and penguin
If you listen to Matt Cutts, the advice would be to think about the user experience. If those links on that page make it easier for the user and makes your page better, than that is how Google would tell you to go. You said that kewyword optimization is a no-no, but Google says OVER optimization is a no-no. In my opinion, I think they are referring to linking over-optimization for a particular keyword and lack of link diversity, creating an unnatural-looking linking pattern.

Checking history of keyword rankings
I've not known this ability to be present in SEOmoz, but I have had experience with other tools and suites and one tool that would be able to do this and check historic rankings is Searchmetrics http://www.searchmetrics.com/en/.
