Google ranks better apps over articles
Nope, it is not an application name. The keyword is broad and generic, but by no means is an application name. I used to rank in the first places with content (a blog post) and now there are no articles ranking in the first 15 places, just web apps and social sites. Let´s say that the keyword is more a "category", very popular in the last year or so. Thanks.

Local Keyword Geolocation
I provided a link to the help article... Geo-related factors are one of the reasons that search results get personalized and the SEOMoz software doesn't (at least for now) have the ability to show personalized search results based on location, meaning, if your keyword is just 'pizza', it's going to show you how the search results will display for "most" people. So if you're in des moines, iowa, and your client, Des Moines Pizza, generally shows up #1 in the local search results for 'pizza' when the user is located in Des Moines, that's not going to show in the SEOMoz software. You'd have to input your keyword as 'pizza des moines' to get search results specific to that city.

I was wondering if SEOmoz has any tools for finding longtail keywords
I don't know of one here at SEOmoz. I use the Google Adwords tool and WordTracker.

Keyword Density report/per page
+1 from my side Ala! I simply hate people who are investing their lot of money on KW density... the more human written your content is the more people will read and convert...

Scoring with one keyword in two languages
Well you cant use that keyword in isolation i.e. you will then use related keywords as well to optimize that page. But it is recommended that you use single language throughout the site. But as you say that this particular keyword is used in both the languages, I suggest to visit few competitor sites and see what they are doing and how.

Can I maximize beyond my targeted keyword?(and how)
keyword selection is an art form. Sometimes it's an exact match and sometimes it can be an alternate if that's a partial match (and in the content you include the exact match). Quality content with a couple variations in the content will ultimately lead to an exponential growth in long tail site visits where Google determines the long tail via your few additional variations and also all the other words around them.

3 monitoring tools are giving me the simular SERP ranking position but manual searching and traffic are telling me something different. What gives?
Hi Theresa. There's an easy way to remove personalized search results. Just add &pws=0 to the end of the search url. More info: http://seattleseonetwork.org/2011/accurate-rank-checking/

How effective the use of preposition in title tag?
I am afraid but I would like to know about the use of preposition in keywords. Here are some of my queries regarding my question? 1: Can we use preposition on our title and keywords? 2. What is the best practice of using preposition in title and keywords? 3. Does the search engine discards the preposition used or counts as a set of keywords? Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your kind response so far. With Regards'

How does Title keyword order, number and puctuation factor into rankings?
Today I read something different. My understanding is that Google will also rank for the words in the title themselves not necessarily in the order placed, whereas Bing and Yahoo have a stronger emphasis on exact order keyword match. So today I changed up my Title in hopes of getting in a few more key words too. Hopefully I don't fall from my lofty perch for my main key word that is in my URL. PS...I did have one word twice in my title ...I hope I don't get penalized for that.

Check large number of websites for a specific keyword (or its synonym).
Are you checking to see the word is just on the homepage or any page on the entire site? There isn't really a way to do this in SEOMoz, but depending on the number of pages there are a variety of solutions out there. If it is large enough a list, you can use a scraper for hire like AuthorityLabs or 80Legs

Keyword research help and opinions
**This website will not be full of articles though.. it will be an informational website on the real estate firm, what areas they specialize in, what homes are for sale in these areas, and a normal MLS home search. ** Whether you refer to the content as web pages, blog posts, articles, etc. it is all content. It is mostly the same from a SEO perspective. Any high quality, useful content relevant to your niche can help your site rank . Your role is to choose the optimal keywords for the maximum amount of convertible traffic.

Hi. I'm trying to understand the breadth of keywords that my site indexes and benchmark whether this is good or bad. Ahy suggestions as to best method to do this?
So you're trying to find what keywords are sending traffic to your site? If so, here's how you would go about it in Google Analytics: Click "Standard Reporting" on the orange bar at the top of the screen. On the left menu, click "Traffic Sources" Under "Traffic Sources," go to Sources -> Search -> Organic Here you can see what keywords are sending organic search traffic to your site. If you'd like, you can click "Secondary dimension" and find "Landing Page" to see specifically what keywords are directing users to which pages I hope I understood your question correctly!

Different browsers, same Search Engine=Different PR:why?
Hi Colin, They are exactly the same in both browsers - interesting though I did note that one browser reported About 120,000,000 results (0.17 seconds) while the other reported About 124,000,000 results (0.22 seconds)So sounds like some sort of filter at play? Thanks,Sinead
