How do I get my sitelinks to appear
Try adding rich snippets and/or schema markup to your website. Schema is clear language that search engines understand very well and could potentially lead to getting your sitelinks to appear faster. Try these links to help you in your quest. Good luck! https://moz.com/blog/a-visual-guide-to-rich-snippets https://moz.com/learn/seo/schema-structured-data

How can I redirect anything after the article url to main article?
Here is the mod_rewrite code that would go in your Wordpress .htaccess file that would redirect http://www.website.com/article-title/lol to this: http://www.website.com/article-title/ Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^article-title/lol(.*)$ http://www.website.com/article-title/$1 [r=301,nc] Make a note of this Mod_Rewrite Tool and it should help you with similar rules in the future. Hope that helps!

Ecommerce product page duplicate content
I respectfully disagree. While it may not be considered duplicate content, it also can be. In fact, if you look at Google's own suggestions on https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66359?hl=en: Minimize boilerplate repetition: For instance, instead of including lengthy copyright text on the bottom of every page, include a very brief summary and then link to a page with more details. In addition, you can use the Parameter Handling tool to specify how you would like Google to treat URL parameters. -- So sure, Google says you shouldn't worry about it but if 10% of your pages content is repeated on each page, that could or could not be an issue.. why take that chance? If your actual products don't have much unique content to describe it, the boilerplate content reduces the relevance of the page. You suggestion of a "pop-up/model window on a single page linked from the product pages" is the best way to minimize boilerplate content and avoid any chance of worse rankings.

Stong Tags still useful in 2016
It's an interesting one and Paul has pretty much covered what most SEO's think about the use of bold for anything more than usability these days. I actually performed split testing for this for a client a number of months ago (they like everything to be tested) and while the positions stayed static in Google, there was actually an increase in the amount of time that people spent looking at content with those bold words in them. I used HotJar to watch recorded user sessions. Because of this, they use bold to emphasize key points now - A lot more came out of the testing around it, enough to make me realise just how much people scan pages for snippets of what they want. -Andy

Does RSS Feed help to rank better in Google?
Hi, I heard RSS Feed helps in ranking. No, this is not a ranking factor. I have never heard of or seen any research about this either. Think about all the sites that rank exceptional wall without one. Use it if you seed your content around, but don't think it will do anything for your SEO. -Andy

Google Increases Titles and Meta Descriptions Length
Hi, Do nothing until Google has rolled this out and confirmed that they are going to go with it. You don't want to make lots of changes if you only have to change them all back again - this could cause you a number of issues. -Andy

Keyword Stuffing unintentionally
Ok so its late and i should of done a bit more research before starting. The new site was built on woocommerce and it looks liek the code is messy and allot of code in the backend is unnecessary and not showing on front end. Yet it shows in code. Something to do with the dynamic plugins that create the home page. I will turn the home page into a static page via a developer to see if we can fix this issue wit kewyord spamming on our home page and report back some days after this change has been accepted by google. If anyone has any experiecne wit woocommerce and how to easily fix the home page source without re-doing it into a staitc page pelase let me know. Maybe theres a plugin or a quick fix. Thank you

My Site is not doing well in search engines
Also: You can use site:plan-trip.com in Google Search to see which pages of your site are indexed. This way you don't have to manually check if a page is indexed or not. To see the position on Google you can use "Rankings" in Moz or a tool like: http://www.whatsmyserp.com/serpcheck.php To see the rankings for your best keywords/url’s you can also check SEMrush: https://www.semrush.com/info/plan-trip.com+(by+organic)

Is it safe to use Microformats and Schema.org on one page?
Just to jump off what Nicolas has said - are you all set up at Google News Publisher Center? This is an important part of being promptly featured in Google News.

Is it safe to add a Backlink on all pages on another website?
Hi. I strongly recommend you to DO NOT DO THAT. It's Really difficult to measure the impact of adding a link on every page of a site. (It's also called sitewide). As Matt said, you will get almost nothing of the link juice when adding a multiple page link. I suggest you to take a read of this tutorial from MOZ. LINKBUILDING guide Hope it helps. GR.

Google Console returning 0 pages as being indexed
No problem at all. As you said, the fact that you can do a site: search and see that your pages are actually indexed means that most importantly, your site is in Google's index. As for it not showing up in Search Console, it's very hard to troubleshoot these ones without access to the account - after 3 or 4 weeks you really should be seeing at least some data in there. To my knowledge, the only part that really lags a whole lot is the number of indexed pages. You should be able to see Content Keywords for example. If all data is completely blank, there may be a larger problem here. Can you see Analytics data for this domain? If so, was Search Console verified via Analytics?

Where can we see voice search impressions/searches?
Jazom, Good Question! I think the search algorithms see voice search the same as any typed search since the request is after the voice recognition software has exercised its duty. My answer doesn't provide much help, but your post was compelling and intriguing. KJr

Lost SEO contract, new SEO wants us to do the following - can you explain why?
Hi Simon, It's likely they've noticed an issue with the old domain (maybe a problem with the link profile?) and they're migrating to a geo-targeted TLD, hence the .co.uk. In this instance, it would make sense for them to do the https swap at the same time if they planned to do it in the future. The reason for the redirects being done on a per-page basis is that they're trying to retain as much strength from the existing domain as they can. Setting up a 301 will retain ~80-90% of that strength though it will also retain the backlinks so maybe the link profile isn't the issue after all. The last points are really just about improving the site speed and I would assume that since they're asking for a blanket removal of all canonicals, they've come across something else that concerned them or perhaps they're input manually right now and they plan to template them instead. If my assumptions are correct, their requests seem above board. The larger question I'd have in this scenario is why you're tasked with doing their job!

Google Console returning zero data
Hi Cosi, Check also if you have registered the right protocol of your domain http vs. https or if you have register the right subdomain (maybe you're not using www or non-www, but another subdomain?) - definitely looks as the type of situation where you haven't register the property with the "right" name and the final location of your site where your content and information is (maybe you're redirecting to another place?) if you don't see any data for it, neither indexation, crawling or search visibility. Another hypothesis would be that you still have very very few pages and that's why you don't obtain any data for the search visibility, however, you should be able to see it on the crawling and indexation reports. The final one would be that you're blocking all crawling and indexation from happening on your site and therefore you don't have any. Take a look at the robots.txt configuration, also any potential blockage at other levels, such as server level in htaccess or even with the noindex meta robots tags (although that would block the indexation and not the crawling). Thanks, Aleyda

SEO for replicated website system
I would send each agent a questionnaire. It would be an email or webform with fields that can be extracted. It would contain questions about the employee's education, experience, and a couple optional personal items. This will give unique content about the agent. The questionnaire would also ask for information about the office location, phone number and directions on how to get there. Include a map, a photo of the building, a photo of the agent. This will include enough information to optimize the agents page for local search. Fields in the questionnaire enable it to draw information that will be used by a program to complete a unique title, meta description and , etc. tags. The goal of this is to construct an optimized page that will draw local traffic I would not leave it up to the agent to edit this information on the website. Once a year, each agent will be sent to a questionnaire that contains information from last year. They can edit or approve. New agents will be asked to complete a new form or edit the form of the person who they replace. Finally, I would not place these on subdomains. They would be organized in folders. Then you can draw information from all of the questionnairs to construct category pages for major geographic areas such as states or major cities. Done right, these questionnaire can be used to produce agent pages and many other pages that will compete in local, regional and other categories of search.

Does the content in Joomla modules get indexed
Hi Thomas, Thanks for the response. Would you know how search engines regard modules which may be the same for 3 or 4 articles. How would it know how the keywords in a module should be associated with any particular article, in terms of ranking a page? Thanks Ian
