3 Different Home Page URL's Being Indexed?
I'm not a dev. Personally I stay at least ten feet away from any code when possible I'll respond to the site form rather than here regarding SEO services... no longer an independent consultant...

What's the impact of # in the main domain page?
I have spent a huge amount of time lately reading a lot of SEO information and have never seen that suggestion made. The closest would be Matt Cutts sharing how he slightly altered his page title from his H1 tag to capture an additional version of a key word.

How impactful will text at the bottom of the page be?
A year or more ago I did a project where I added a tonne of links to the bottom of the page. http://www.locazu.com/ as a result we saw significant improvements in the development of internal landing pages. But I'm not sure if this is exactly what you mean or not? If you're referring to "un-linked" content. I think just make sure you're not duplicating your H1 tags, but also that you're placing or tags around the keywords you're really hoping to optimize for that page. The content won't be as valuable if it's page bottom but you'll see some benefit if you add these attributes. Hope this helps!!

Do keywords ride solo or do they have sidecars?
Just to add a bit to what Joe shared, your "fruit salad" page will surely appear in the organic results for a "cheap fruit salad search". The difference is you are ranking as #1 for "fruit salad" where you may rank well for "cheap fruit salad" or you may be the 10,000th result. There are many factors involved including if the word "cheap" is used somewhere on the page, your competition, etc. In a perfect world your site will have one quality page dedicated to each key phrases you wish to target.

first you need to compare search terms to see if your e-commerce conversion rate fell for your top terms.

Re-optimizing onsite SEO, can it hurt?
HMMM??? Good input from both of you, maybe a combination of both. When to do site/index.php? It stands the most to gain and loose at the same time. I'm thinking I should start with all the things that I know are blatantly "wrong" and fix all those things first. There is no way this could hurt anything. Then maybe do some experimenting with the other pages that are currently doing well and see what the results are. Then I should know what works, what doesn't.

Importance of Micro Formats
The biggest benefit you'll see with the implementation of micro formats is an increase in CTR. As for a rankings boost, there isn't anything solid to support it, but it is very possible that search engines already use this as a ranking factor. I believe Rand has indicated that micro formats could be used as a "brand signal" and Best Buy indicated significant rankings improvement after that implemented GoodRelations markup (ecommerce RDFa).

What is the best practice for optimizing international websites? We operate a .co.uk and .com and obviously content is similar.
Thanks David - much appreciated. We'll definitely be trying these.
