Advantages of Wordpress Pages versus Posts
Isn't your Blog basically viewed as one page? Posting on your site has some value in adding more SEOo content (Title Tags, Meta stuff) as long as its well organized.

How to 100% stop google indexing static and dynamic URLs
Hence why I said adding the robots.txt block would be the first choice.

Is this new? Anchors showing in Serps.
It's not new. You can read some more information about when it first was reported in late 2008 over at Search Engine Roundtable. http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/018996.html.

Keywords in URLs - what is considered keyword stuffing?
Hi Jeff, I see you implemented this type of URL. Can you share with us how it worked out for you? It's always interesting to hear the impact of changes like this.

Https and secure pages
Hi Tyler, It's a good thing to use the HTTPS version of the badge on your HTTPS pages because otherwise, the page would be reported as unsecure by the browser to the user. On the other hand, displaying HTTPS ressources on a HTTP page matters. Downloading and decrypting the secured ressources will use more bandwidth and CPU on the server and client side. In other words, HTTPS is slimply slower than HTTP so it will be detrimental to the user experience. The difference might not be signigicant, but it's always good to keep that in mind. So, I simply suggest you match the protocol of the ressources with the one of the requested URL. HTTPS with HTTPS and HTTP with HTTP. Best regards, Guillaume Voyer.

Do you have any examples of this being done on stores? Should i maybe just make a best of the web blog entry which links back to the product pages?

How do I check how a competitor ranks in the UK vs. US?
Jeremy, The reply I offered is based on the belief you know your competitor's names and want to perform research on specific companies. If you want to perform research on keywords then disregard my suggestion and go with Syed's.

301 redirect and then keywords in URL
Awesome, yes Matt Cutts in that video does imply what you are saying. I also agree with higher CTR (another thing I hadn't thought of!) Ryan, this is great. Thank you.

Do footer links apply too many on-page links?
EGOL... Thanks for your quick reply! While many of the links in the footer of www.AlohaWhistler.com (used as an example) are valuable and interesting some of them don't link to "money" pages. e.g. we see footer links to "Homes", "Condos", "Townhomes", etc as important and such pages are listed higher in the page but other links may be valuable to some visitors but not as vital to pump link juice to (e.g. "Our Team", "Reviews", etc.) I have always been unsure about the balance of adding some links in footers, etc that may be value to some visitors but aren't really a priority for link juice / search engine rankings. Normally I would only be concerned about reducing the number of footer links if we start seeing reports of "too many on-page links". I welcome any discussion about this.

Keyword text block on homepage - keep or do away with?
Sounds like you are agreeing with me, Ryan. As I mentioned, if you go overboard with "optimizing" you end up having a site that is not linkable or attractive enough for other people to link to you naturally, so although you will get traffic for using the keyword rich content, title, etc, you are getting it at the cost of future links. That's lacking a long term strategy. I would never link to a website that looked too keywordy or spammy even if it wasn't one and I am confident there are many others like me. That being said - if you have smaller "satellite" sites, and those sites are meant to cater to a specific niche and their main objective is to get traffic to your main website rather than create new leads/sales on their own, then its a different story - I would go for optimizing first in this case. I would make sure most keywords that I care for are covered. User experience is still important (or they'll bounce) but not as much as it is for your main MOTHER site.

Meta refresh - nojavascript url
We all wish the tools were perfect. The reality is they are software and will be upgraded over their lifetime. This particular issue is a pretty narrow focus. If it is indeed just an issue with the SEOmoz crawler I would recommend reporting it to the help desk so they have an opportunity to investigate the matter and hopefully list it as a bug which can be addressed.

Is it wise to target different keywords for each page?
It depends on the competition level for those keywords. If its high, you might want to focus on one mother keyword phrases and couple of child keyword phrases. Trying to rank for more than 1 keyword phrase in 1 page in a high competition scene is not something I'd suggest.

Pages not cached
Your site is being properly indexed, your pages are appearing as expected in Google SERPs and you see the cached pages but you do not see the header at the top of the cached pages which says "This is Google's cache of [url]. It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on [date]". Is the above an accurate description of what you are seeing?

Same article in different directories
Stephen, a side note that this could be part of an interesting submission for YOUmoz if you're looking for something new to write! Or if you've written it up elsewhere let us know, it's always interesting to see this type of data.
