Does this count as Copied Content ?
It is not that copysace always shows 30% match . Normally it is between 8% to 15% but the source is always mentioned with proper details. Please tell me if it counts as duplicated content from Search Engine point of view or not. Are Google Algorithms intelligent enough to understand that copied content is used only for reference and not to steal anyone's work ? Can google understand the intent of copied content if source of original content is also mentioned ? Thanks,

Someone wants to syndicate my content but I'm afraid
Hi Marisa, Thanks for your inquiry. We created a local search tool which matches relevant content with local information and data. The tool is an option for websites to use, we would at NO time use anyone's content without them requesting us to use it or without their permission. Also, all of the content that is included in the search algorithm is dynamically pulled at time of the search. If you wish to see a demo, please let me know and I'd be happy to connect with you to show you. Kindly, Matt Mantyla www.nsphere.net

Good SEO consulting company for content strategy
Seems like a great site for a forum or "Youbet Blog" where your users can submit guest blogs on their strategies. Seems like you have some sort of thing where people are buying each other's strategies. So the really good ones will write about their strategies to promote themselves, and then sell more of their tips or whatever.

Cosmo feature: any difference between linking a phrase or .com?
YES. Great link. Fantastic. I would be singing hymns for those folks, not taking them to task because of the anchor text. Write to them and say THANK YOU! Its PERFECT!

Tumblr to WordPress confused...
That's correct. Yeah, the worry is (or was) that the old post, even though it was 100redflags.com, because it was sitting on Tumblr, would necessitate some sort of action in order to retain whatever equity was built in that content. If it's as easy as just making sure those old URLs are 301'd, and I can do what I please with the Tumblr content, that's great news. Thanks to you both for the prompt responses. Really helpful and much appreciated.

How to fix no follows-does the no follow number impact the seomoz "trust " rating?
I agree with the above responses. How did you manage to get so many "nofollow" links though? 54% is rather high. It won't hurt you as the above members said, but it won't help you either other than that it helps to make all of your other links appear naturally begat. Do you know what the major source of the nofollow links are?

Is there a software that gives keyword density for primary and seconday keywords as content is written ?
The thought came into mind while thinking about content architecture and cross linking. However, I would like to hear what your recommendation is for the wordpress platform .. thanks.

Which is the best site to host photos on?
Old thread, but I'm doing some research into which of them do-follow or nofollow description links. I'll let you know what I find if someone doesn't beat me to it.

How much do you pay your copywriters?
You may want to check freelancer.com recently I got a bid of $250 from a reputed writing company for writing 25 articles with around 500 words each. This is the outsource rates. Its for sure that threads should be original and you may have to dig around a bit on your own to find what sells and what doesn't. If you want the posts SEO optimized then thats another ball game which I doubt these guys will be able to deliver for the price. Hope it helps!

What is the best practice for using the same content on two pages?
John, Don't worry about google, write the story for your readers. Target it to their needs, rewrite, paraphrase, add extra information for one group and different information for another group. I'm not suggesting you only change a few words. I mean to really target the article for each group. If you want to see how much google cares about duplicate content, try this search on google: Romney wins Ohio, 4 other Super Tuesday states Check those results and tell me that google cares about duplicate content. If google really cared about having only one original story, none of those sites would get any search traffic. You can see this for every single AP story, all day every day - those sites are paying a lot of money for AP content. If google was penalizing them for always having duplicate content, they would never show up in search results.

Blogging
What if they accepted it? then what.. I have a blog that all the content that is posted on it is also posted on sites such as ezine, and these articles are already published. What would you recommend? re writing all the content of the blog, that there wont be any duplication? or just leave everything and be sure to not do it again?

Is it possible to over create/post content?
You should ask yourself 3 questions about the content you plan on publishing. Is it a "resource" to someone, if optimized to specific keywords, does the content match the intent of the search query? Is the content to similar to other content on your current domain? Is the content shallow - how many words, did you enhance it with "extras" like pictures/media, how in depth does the content dive into the subject? If you are finding that you're publishing more than you feel comfortable doing on a single site, I don't see the harm in offering some of those articles to other blogs or websites. Just make sure you ask the 3 questions above before trying to place your content on other people's websites because you want to make sure any relationships you build through this method are solid.

Noindex,Follow on custom tags
I think the easiest way is to use the rel cannonical. Did yoy tried? You will need to include in every page (pages you want to be the official one) inside the head tag the follow: where ww.example.com/index.html is your page adress.

Any experience of buying articles from writers?
A great place to look for unique articles is elance.com - you can get quality articles for about $8 - $15 U.S. depending on whether it is regular work. I hire out about 10-20 articles per week sometimes, so I pay $8 for very talented writers. If any writer also claims that they will give you better quality work for "a little extra" - don't use them, in my opinion. A good writer will give you high quality work whether you pay them $8 or $15 per article. As for copyscape, it is your job to let the writers know in advance that you will be checking for originality in copyscape and that nothing else will do. Hope this helps!

Personal and Company Blog
Hi Sat13, Just popping by to say I think you are being given the right advice by members who have contributed to this thread. It kind of all comes down to effort. If you want to publish two distinct blogs, you need to be prepared to create separate content for them. Think of it from the perspective of the end user. Why should he read two different blogs if they duplicate one another in terms of the information they provide? For example, SEOmoz has its own blog, and Rand Fishkin has a personal blog. Rand might choose to cross excerpt a post from one to the other if he thought it was really important, but he wouldn't simply pick up a blog post from one and put it on the other. That wouldn't be in the best interests of Rand's readers, right? If you are dealing with a multi author blog at your business and would like readers to have the option to get to know more about the author's personal writings, create profile pages for each of the authors that link to their personal blogs. That will achieve your goal of letting readers know more about the authors' other publications. But, bottom line, what you are reading in this thread is steering you in the right direction. Make distinct efforts for the two blogs. And, don't forget, you can use RSS feeds if you really need to have snippets going elsewhere. Good luck! Miriam

Can forums bring down your search engine rankings?
First, I would not bet anything on Alexa data. It is based upon a toolbar that very few people use. If you are interested in what a forum does to your search engine rankings then start tracking your Google rankings with the SEOmoz rank tracking tool. Now, can a forum damage your rankings? I can imagine two situations where it might. lots of trivial content, duplicate content or trash content is posted in your forum forum members flood your threads with links out to spammy sites, manipulative sites, or sites about topics that google does not like
