RE: Forwarding a .org domain to a .com domain: any negative impact to consider?
From my experience, it is very difficult / cannot forward a HTTP version to a HTTPS version.
I may have to defer to another SEO Pro about forwarding a lower DA to a higher. My educated guess...it doesnt matter. In Google's eyes its not technically considered a link.
It always amuses me when clients purchase multiple domains and want to forward them with dreams of larger traffic funnels. If a branded URL search isnt happening, traffic wont either. For brand protection, absolutely valuable. But when clients want to dominate the internet, this tactic is a pipe dream.

RE: Number of topics
Can you provide more context to your question? Topics on what? A web page or website?
Research shows pages that go in dept on niche topics out rank others that cover a variety of topics. Of course, with all link building and domain authority being the same.... Here is where a large amount of information (content) will need to be balanced with great web design to engage the reader.
Some rookie digital marketers just throw up 2,000 words straight. No images, No accordions, no way to break up the read. Therefore, site engagement stats are decreased, which doesn't add to your SEO and most likely, negatively impacts your website conversion metrics.

RE: Conversions tracking on another website
I am not the greatest resource in the affiliate marketing world, but have handles a few projects on the subject. In my experience, affiliate links do track conversions, and work similar to a UTM code. From my experience with setting up an affiliate store on Shopify, we utilized lead dyno and it worked well. From managing multiple vendors to keeping track of their behaviors and affiliate earnings. This is transparency.
The cross domain conversion tracking would work as well. This would involve your vendors placing a specific js code on their site...so, margin for error is higher. Unless you do it all. Either way, its A or B from my perspective.
Hope this helps!

RE: .Co Domains - Any thoughts?
This is the exact reason why I am hesitant to purchase and run with .CO domains. I would rather exercise all of my options to make a .com work rather than running with a .CO.

RE: Google Indexing
check the robots.txt for no-follow designations?
also, is your hosting reliable? i have had websites go down, which would cause crawler errors from reporting, resulting in a poor index.

RE: Conversions tracking on another website
You need to setup Tag manager and track external links and setup GTM codes. But to measure conversion on another site, you will need to have your hands on that site as well.

RE: My Website's Home Page is Missing on Google SERP
I've had a similar problem years ago. Check to see if that page has a no-crawl or no-follow designation in your CMS. Hop on the page and hit a control+U, then find "follow".
Look for this: name="robots" content="INDEX,FOLLOW" />

RE: My homepage redirects to itself?
Yes, most likely it is redirecting from hhtp to https. Check your canonical's as well.

RE: Is there a way to set up 301 auto redirects from 404s
Yes, you can setup a redirect depending on your CMS. We use DNN and there is a section in the site settings that makes this easily possible...or even design your own 404 page any way you want.

RE: Paginated Pages Which Shouldnt' Exist..
Nice website by the way. It looks very professional. And your 49 DA is very impressive.

RE: Titles being too long
HA! doesnt matter huh...
download SEO Quake as a chrome extension. Its great stuff. It will grade every page in detail, showing you how long titles and descriptions should be, as well as other metrics. big fan.

RE: Fetch as Google showing Tablet View, not Desktop View
Try updating your resolution queries to a max height of 1080, replacing the block of height:100%. Seems like google bot is crawling your site and queries are under a desktop resolution.

RE: Opinions on leaving Non-SEO Pages without a H1
Simple. If SEO tactics are a part of your scope of services contracted with the client, you need to implement the H1. If not, there's no reason to.

RE: Ranking
Suggestions:
Check Webmaster tools and make sure all pages are indexing correctly.
Also, watch out for "no follow" tags in the meta data of each page.
"><me< span="">ta id="MetaGenerator" name="GENERATOR" content="example keyword "></me<>
and of course, utilize MOZ SEO tools for ranking reports and optimization errors.

RE: Urls Too Long - Should I shorten?
Long URLs is a pet peeve! But I agree with Martin on the traffic analogy. Modify the pages that need the most help and measure against the pages you do not change.

RE: Topics and H tag
The more niche, the better results...IMO. If you want to get ranked well on 3 different topics, build 3 different pages.
You would only want (1) H1 tag per page, and multiple H2-H6 tags per page.

RE: In custom reports, Can we get a module for finished tasks?
I would like to 2nd this proposition of a feature. Half of our agency SEO battles are documenting and communicating completed tasks for a client, to the client.
