RE: Www or not www base url
The 2 month wait is nonsense. I agree.
I appreciate everyones feedback. We are going to push for the www version, the non-www option is a no go,
Thanks : ]

Www or not www base url
Here is the situation. Developer custom coded a magento commerce shop for a seo client and is having problems adding www to the URL without breaking the site. They wont be able to get this completed until a couple months down the road.
We are starting monthly SEO this June. Most directories and websites link to the www version of a site not the non www. What should I expect since we are ranking for the non-www and linking to the www version.
In web master tools i'm telling google to display the URL as www.

RE: Mobile Site & SEO
There is the solution. I will add it to my robots.txt and use a no index attribute..........That i think is the easiest.
It would be nice to continue this discussion to see what everyone else has to say : ]

If you do a directory i would look at some of the larger directories and get some ideas.

RE: Do links in the nav bar help SEO?
Dont spam your nav bar with keywords. Use about us, contact us and home as your nav links because users are used to seeing them. To add descriptive tags to your links use the title attribute on your href links

RE: Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links ...
Here is a suggestion. I had the same issue with one of my clients. We added the client to some human edited directories and after about 30 days we were back on our rankings. You are going to need to browse this site for a list of Human Edited Directories and sort through them. These sites are not cheap, you will spend anywhere from 20-300 per submission. Most being permanent listings.A few annual and very few monthly.

RE: Limit of links in the same page
How do you know you are getting penalized? Did you add those links and then drop in rankings. Send over a link to your site.

RE: Long URL with QueryStrings
Ideally you want to keep your URL's short and to the point. Depending on the CMS you are using their could be an option to turn on friendly URL's.

Mobile Site & SEO
If i create a mobile site for a client will google crawl that site for mobile results or will it effect my rankings.
My guess is no, just want to make sure.
Obviously code will be different.

RE: Need more Guestposting sources.
Actively search for websites similar to your industry and create relationships and ask them if they are interested in the guest blogging approach!

RE: Employing Pinterest for SEO gain.
In regards to SEO, i have not seen any type of ranking increases or benefits. In regards to sales, yes I have.
I have a client who sells dog collars and she started using pinterest to post pics of new collars, community images (of dogs wearing her collars) and just random images she is interested in.
We have seen a 30% ++ increase in revenue due to pinterest. Most probably because the majority of her clients are female.
I just picked up a lingerie store (ecommerce) and will do my best to remember and come back here with some data or results.

Name Servers & SEO
We have decided to create a few blogs and will eventually be linking to some of our clients. I have domain privacy and different class C addresses for each of my domains. But the name servers area all the same.
Ex: If we create an article for one client on all 5 blogs, will the name servers be a problem?
