RE: How to Create A Cost-Effective Video OR Outsource?
The easiest and yet very professional looking way of making a video would be animoto.com
If you have pictures, you select the music and and titles, and you can tell a great story. If you take good pictures, that is. You can also do the same with videos instead of pictures, on animoto.
The key here is to use images and videos that are done in well lit environments. And audio needs to be as clear and noise free as possible. This can be solved by using background music and telling your products story visually. At the end of the day, Lighting and Audio make a great video... well and great product/story

Hope this helps! Again this is if you are starting out and want to do it your self and not waste too much time, and still get a great result.
Outsourcing, if you record your own footage its very easy to find a person to edit and compile that for you. As for recording you need an actual person nearby. Contacting Film departments at your near by university or college might be a great place to start looking for cheaper price, as this can get expensive. But the students should be familiar with HDSLR technology that is rocking the film industry with great images coming out from cheaper cameras and combined with great lighting and audio you can get great videos.

RE: Recent Algorithm Change
Boulder SEO stood out to me, being the weakest of the pack
http://www.bkmediagroup.com/boulder-seo PR (0) PA (17) boulder seo
So I looked in a bit, and even thought the PR is (0) Domain Rank is 5, and Domain authority still holds some weight.

RE: Google+ what does it take to get a custom url
I think it needs to be at least in the 1,000's. One of the lowest vanity URLs I've noticed (granted I dont use G+ that much) is https://plus.google.com/+SEOgadget/ with 5K in the circles. I think Google is getting this out in phases so I would stay tuned until the requirements loosen up a bit to include the 100s, or everyone. It would seem like a natural progression.

RE: I want your opinion?
#1 As it is more descriptive. However keep in mind what Google doesn't want according to Matt Cutts, he says keep it short and sweet:
“If you have got a three, four or five words in your URL, that can be perfectly normal. As it gets a little longer, then it starts to look a little worse. Now, our algorithms typically will just weight those words less and just not give you as much credit.
“The thing to be aware of is, ask yourself: ‘How does this look to a regular user?’ – because if, at any time, somebody comes to your page or, maybe, a competitor does a search and finds 15 words all strung together like variants of the same word, then that does look like spam, and they often will send a spam report. Then somebody will go” and check that out.

RE: Any chance for my listing to rank in top 7 Google maps?
Again PR is usually connected with links, and if you want to see how strong a site is you check the number and quality of links pointing to that domain. In our case for local seo you need to check the number of citations that your competitor has. What you can do is take their phone number and search for that phone number and see all the places that it is listed. And that should give you the approximate amount of work that needs to be done. More here on how to do that, and for more advanced citation searching and building: http://ontolo.com/blog/phone-number-co-citation-analysis-local-link-builders

RE: Any chance for my listing to rank in top 7 Google maps?
Hello Jesse,
This is very doable. Local Results are not so much focused on Page Rank which is highly connected to actual links, but more so on relevant local citations with your NAP (Name, Address, Phone, Website directories and other citations that include your business info) If you do a great job with local citations you can get up there fairly quick.
Also get a great review strategy and the most I've seen is 8 reviews on your keyword terms, I think even with 3-6 reviews you should be getting good results. Also make sure your Google Local listing is optimized with correct info, categories, and terms you want to aim for.
All of these should help work in favor very much!
Hope this helps!

RE: Pagerank question
What method are you using to check your pagerank?
Also if you are comfortable sharing your URL in question that will provide an easy way to check.
Thanks

RE: .png vs .jpg - Which ranks better or does it matter?
One thing that I want to chime in about and discuss is image size and image compression and optimization for speed purposes, as images are a significant factor in the page load time of the site. + Image optimization helps with site load speed.
Just a little different between the two types: PNG is better for crisp images with a low number of colours, and JPG is better for a low-bandwidth image - however it is not as crisp and therefore not very good to be used for the layout of the website. Generally, JPG is for photos and pictures, whereas PNG (or GIF) is for website layout or for computer generated graphics.
Great resource here which is better for image compression and/or optimization if its of interest.
Not directly important to ranking but important in general sense of ranking.

RE: Can we export branded reports from Moz Analytics Beta yet?
Exited for this feature as well!

RE: Moz Analytics Beta Question
Right after Moz added me into the their beta. I didn't see any info in the analytics, if I remember correctly. After sometime, I got to see some campaigns with data and one with out data, and one campaign that is showing up in the original crawl/ranking reports but not yet in the new moz analytics.
I was added to the beta about a week ago for the record.
Also have this message up top: You can now set up new campaigns in Moz Analytics! We've already migrated at least one of your existing campaigns over from PRO, and any existing campaigns that have not been migrated over will appear on your dashboard soon.
See if you have any message up top on your moz analytics home page, and/or
Wait a few days if not please contact moz support directly. Thanks and hope this helps Schwaab.

RE: Google +1's and Google+ Local
Hi Brad,
According to the "predicted" http://moz.com/local-search-ranking-factors +1 Authority and +1 # counts is fairly low. That is mainly because for local ranking it is not thought to be a highly significant factor. This might change in the future in the comments Phil Rozek does say: "Pretty soon some of the “social signals” on Google Plus - like circles and +1s - will probably become significant."
For overall SERP results, Matt Cutts (spokeman, SEO celebrity, on behalf of Google) did say that +1's dont lead to higer rankings: http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2290337/Matt-Cutts-Google-1s-Dont-Lead-to-Higher-Ranking
Hope this helps!

RE: Authorship and Aggregate Rating in SERPS
Hi Gianluca,
If you can describe what types of schema you have seen to be affected by authority, as in my experience setting up fresh brand new sites with authorship seemed to have authorship show really fast?
I did see most if not all the review sites with aggregate reviews in their snippets drop a while back (earlier than August for my case)

RE: LOCAL SEO / Ranking for the difficult 'service areas' outside of the primary location?
I guess part of the reason is that local search results do not show up for some of your keywords, as in "SeaTac Bankruptcy Lawyer", and so organic results are the only option.
Yes you are very right some of this will not work for specific industry or unique geographic areas. Thanks again for all your input.

RE: Hootsuite Vs Sprout Social for social media management
Hell Netlover,
Its hard to say what is better depending on your needs. But one aspect to consider is the cost. Hootsuite offers a great individual plan http://signup.hootsuite.com/plans-cc/ with which a lot can be accomplished for free. Sprout Social on the other hand, has a free trial, but all plans include fees: https://sproutsocial.com/pricing. From my use of both Sprout is more advanced tool for advanced social media analysis, and study.
Hope this helps, and what are some tasks you are looking to accomplish?
Also for a great review see this: http://digitalry.com/social-smackdown-sprout-social-vs-hootsuite/

RE: LOCAL SEO / Ranking for the difficult 'service areas' outside of the primary location?
Thanks David for your sharing your process.
"and see if you can focus on locations that are spread throughout the metro area."
-for clarification what do you mean by this? Are you looking for areas with low competition and trying to find gaps, because you did mention you are focusing on areas that are known for attorney's.
Thank you, and awaiting more response

LOCAL SEO / Ranking for the difficult 'service areas' outside of the primary location?
It's generally not too hard to rank in Google Places and organically for your primary location. However if you are a service area business looking to rank for neighboring cities or service areas, Google makes this much tougher.
Andrew Shotland mentions the obvious and not so obvious options: Service Area pages ranking organically, getting a real/virtual address, boost geo signals, and using zip codes instead of service area circle.
But I am wondering if anyone had success with other methods? Maybe you have used geo-tagging in a creative way? This is a hurdle that many local business are struggling with and any experience or thoughts will be much appreciated
