Can someone PLEASE help me find a solution to use a custom search engine for iPhones?? Thanks in advance!
Perhaps, I have no experience with such a thing.. However I am sure a good enough programer can design an app with that functionality.

Question #2: All of my INTERNAL links in OSE are being indexed from http://www.e.com/default.asp, and all my EXTERNAL links are linked to http://www.e.com/ am I getting a fraction of the link juice because of that?????
Tyler, Without digging too deeply, I have a couple of suggestions to help you in the overall. First, I cannot find a 'canonical redirect' and it appears you have not set a preferred domain in WMT. When you go into OSE, typically you will see something like: "this url redirects to x and we are showing that as it is more representative... " When you have done the preferred domain and/or canonical redirect you are telling the engines that the domain: mysiteexample.com and the sub domain www.mysiteexample.com should be seen as one in the same. That will help a lot with what you have here. On your internal links, go into GWMT and click on Traffic. Your dropdown will include internal links. That will show these to you. (Note that you likely will show both www and non in WMT. If you click on one and go to internal and it says no data available... go to the other. For preferred in case you are unfamiliar, click on Configuration, Settings, Preferred Domain Choose which you want and boogie on... Hope it helps, Robert

Question #1: Does Google index https:// pages? I thought they didn't because....
Hi Tyler Looks like the duplicate title tags are largely from empty pages like these: http://www.uncommonthread.com/008-Pink-Ice-p/14410008.htm http://www.uncommonthread.com/001-Gold-p/14410001.htm http://www.uncommonthread.com/019-Copper-p/14410019.htm http://www.uncommonthread.com/027-Electric-Blue-p/14410027.htm Even though these pages are somewhat unique, the content is definitely "thin" and having a lot of pages like this typically isn't good for rankings. Ideally, you would list small product variations on the same page, or even have several similar product pages canonical to a master page. Generally if you don't have a 200 words minimum of good editorial content, Google might consider it duplicate. I don't see any reason why switching to http should cause too much problem if you passed everything through a 301 redirect. To be honest, it's typical for rankings to fluxuate frequently so it could be a million things. If I look at the text-only cache of the page you sent: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.ontracparts.com&strip=1 ... it looks pretty similar. If it were my page, I'd probably try to include more descriptive text on the page, richer descriptions, ets. Hope this helps!

New FB page feature LOOKS AWESOME how to get it for me too??
I don't believe this is an ad. This seems to work on a number of sites I've looked at, including CNN, Fox News, and Search Engine Land (but not SEOMoz). I took a look at the Open Graph tags for the sites, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary, and I haven't been able to replicate it with my site. Definitely something to keep an eye out for.

Does anyone know how much a wordpress site can store (in terms of data) I want to put all my movies on it and use it as a personal global external hard drive! Thanks!!
Yea I see your concern. They are all my movies/films/data, some are movies i've purchased, I would have to be careful to not let anyone get access though because then that would be file sharing. Thanks for your help though! Still sounds like it would be better to just get an external hardrive if i would have to go through the trouble of upgrading hosting accounts. You tha man Sebastian!

I have 3 different niches - Should I create 3 different Social Profiles/hubs?
Yes I would have 3 different personal and company accounts, but be careful how you interact with them, I am not in the US or a lawyer but my understanding is that you are not allowed to pose as a member of the public and promote a product while you are really the company, I think it is an FCC rule?, does that make sense? The technique I have always used is a useful employee, you do not hide the fact you work for the company (mention it in your profile) but you act as though you are just so in love with the topic that you want to help everyone with everything. Thanks for the thumbs up Sean

Has anyone heard about Facebook's Revenue Problems? Duh right. Well have you seen how they are losing money yet?!?!
Hi, I've seen a few of your other posts.. welcome.. Q. Do you think that Facebook could use some conversion rate optimization? A: I would be shocked if there isn't a team (if not an army) doing this now. Q. Do you think that Facebook could be doing more than they are to make more money? A: Sure and I suspect they are working on it. Q. Do you think that Facebook (being such a powerful site), could make a lot of money by implementing an SEO/Content strategy? A: I'm not FB usability expert, but I would invest in improving their site search capabilities first. Just an opinion. mas

Please help. can't change widgets in wordpress
Glad to hear you got it fixed. I had a similar issue last week on one of my client's sites which was to do with Widget Logic plugin update not working correctly. I discovered it in the middle of the night and had to spend 2 hours going to the forums to fix the site - so I know how you feel ;). Still, it all adds to our learnings.

Just want to know if others have seen simliar results with Squidoo's organic visits
I'm seeing a little drop too. If you switch this to monthly view and zoom all the way out, you'll see that their domain as a whole took a bit of a dive this month: http://www.quantcast.com/squidoo.com I'd suspect that 90 degree day on MozCast 11/19 gave them a swift kick in the junk.

Hey, So I know wordpress is built with a user capability, but what about databasing custom user data?
Hey Tyler Check out Cubepoints: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cubepoints/ This is a user based points management system where users can earn points for specific interactions with the site such as posting blog comments, logging in etc. It is modular and easily extendible so even if it does not everything you want it is likely 90% there so with some gentle hacking it could be easily extended to do just about anything from a user points perspective. You could always build something from scratch as a wordpress plugin but I would certainly take a look at this as a starting point as why reinvent the wheel! Hope that helps buddy! Marcus

So, Google is the best site on the internet.. Right? Or is that just what most people tend to think off-face?
Who said Google is the best site on the Internet? Honestly - I don't think I have every heard anyone say that before. There is a GA app by the way. I've seen the official one in Google Play store. However it looks rubbish, so I have not bothered. The main site works ok on my mobile so I tend to use that anyway.

Need to build a lot of new pages - up to 1,000 - where do I start?
If you truly have 300 pages that you are trying to rank for you would need to create useful data for each of these pages.I am getting the felling you are doing your keyword research with "Broad" parameters instead of [exact] paramaters. If you are using Googles Adwords Tool be sure to check the [exact] box on the left side of the screen and uncheck the "Broad" box. 300 keywords is a ton of keywords to target, and usually executed by large e-commerce sites.

I'm hiring a link building company - need help choosing
Hey Tyler I have to disagree with most of the responses here to some extent. Link building as in, here is $100 get me 10 PR4 links is over but link earning is far from over. Content, content, content - we have all heard that but too many folks put stuff out there that gets no links and very few social shares so developing a strategy that helps you identify the kind of content that gets linked to along with the actual people who do the linking and building a content + outreach strategy can be very effective. Think about this: Identify the kind of content in your industry that gets links make a list of all the people that link to it make a list of all possible influencers that can help promote your content to their network build a relationship with the influencers build content that is highly linkable and better than or unique to what was out there outreach to the people that linked to other content similar (but not as good of course) outreach to the influencers to share your content guest post on influential site(s) to get more eyes on your content (and win more links) Basically, the age old buying of links is dead and buried (good riddance) but there are still some very cool strategies revolving around content generation and the effective marketing of that content to a wider audience of people who will link to it. Following a long term approach like this you also look to build a broader network of contacts in the social networks and blogger buddies. Once you get to this point, where you share their content, they share yours etc then picking up links should be easy. I have a client that put out a fairly cool but ultimately pedestrian piece of content last week and picked up over 30 links to it from the Blogosphere. All highly relevant sites with readership so there is a referral value as well but could you imagine trying to buy these 30 links? Lets say you went with some fairly low rate guest posting service at say $100 per post you are looking at $3000 - if you are doing this each week then $12000. So, whilst there was some initial pain and investment in content and strategy the return on the investment downstream is beyond compare when looked at in a pay X for a link approach. It is also pretty much unbeatable and hard to duplicate by your competition so if you want to play hard and can settle in for a six month + program then you can get some real benefit from working with someone with some real link building smarts. Hope that helps buddy. Marcus

Long tail traffic - what is the best way to go back and add focus to repetitive long tail keywords?
Yes content is important but having 300 pages will spread you link juice and authority across your site. So if your home page has a strong authority but your site has 300 pages you might not rank for your main terms. The less page's your site has the more link juice each page has. Solution: build 10 pages targeting the best keywords you can find and create 990 blog posts on your site linking to these 10 pages giving these pages authority and relevancy.
