Link Building On a Budget
If i was you i would consult with a company face to face before hiring and also see if you can do some things on your own. Social media and blogging is something that someone in house can do and they also have first hand knowledge of the business.

Google Places/Affiliate/Partner Site
I think Miriam nailed it. Smart advice as well using a home address is not a bad idea at all. Think of all the fantastic companies that started it either in the garage Which Google would consider their home / place of business. If you have a legitimate local listing your all set as you grow and acquire an office or whatever type of facility it is that you need to do business in you will have no problem with Google when making the change. Sincerely, Thomas

Link Building Cost
Being solidly on page 2 and 3 after only 14 months means you are doing great. I have sites that are 5 and 7 years old that still show up on page 2 for some of the keyword phrases we target. PPC can be a powerful way to cover the gap until you get on page 1. It all really depends on what your market is. Some high competition areas (like weight loss, or payday loans) are outrageously expensive. Other areas (like garden tools) are fairly cheap. I find it profitable for some of my items, but not for all. After running campaigns for a while, pause the losers and let the winners run. If your area is not highly competitive, you can do a lot of PPC for the cost of a $100 link... Can you share your URL so we can make more accurate comments?

Rel=Publisher On Business Blog
Do you have any other suggestions for a business that does its own blog posts but does not want our individual names or contact available to the GP?

Rel=publisher
Morning, Yes it is showing as a verified page on my Google Plus account. Should I be using both re=Publisher & rel=Author?. It is an ecommerce site, we do however have a blog that I could set up a personal profile for the posts and rel=author it? Would it be an issue if I did both pointing to the Google Plus business page? Thank You!

Adwords and Seller Ratings
Thanks Dana!! They actually are a certified partner, I did call Google and they explained that they pull the seller reviews from the display url in our search ads. I was confused b/c the certified agency said we would lose our ratings? Thanks

Title Tags
Agree with Dana. If the content of the page is changing, then there is merit in changing the title tags. If you are going to be adding additional content though, just add additional pages to the currently ranking website under the appropriate semantic area of the site navigation. For example: website.com ----> website.com/teams ------> website.com/teams/seahawks ----> website.com/teams/seahawks/playoffs (new page) Hope that helps!

Exact URL Match For Ranking
It's certainly true that EMDs can still have an impact (it's declining, but they still matter), but it's rare for a brand new domain that's redirected to rank well, because there's nothing to redirect. You can't redirect the name itself, just the strength of the link profile. I suspect they may be doing something a bit more elaborate behind the scenes. They could be redirecting older, more powerful sites, or they could have a link network set up, as Matthew said. Long-term, though, it will eventually burn out. It's frustrating, because these tactics can work for a while, but Google is definitely taking a dimmer view of them over time, and it's a risky play.

Google uses a different data source for it's mobile results. From my experience, mobile results can greatly differ based on the location of the searcher.

SeoMoz Keyword Tool
Its really strange, some pages that Ive setup in the past rank on page 1 for what I though were low comp. keywords, yet the tool says they are 50%?

Exact Domain Match Ranking Very Well
I feel your pain, I am in the same situation. Despite what others are saying about EMD they still rank well, & it drives me nuts. You can either try to get as close to them as possible & make your listing stand out with rel author & a great title, or you can invest heavily in to trying to out rank them. Or you could join them.

Google + Profile in Serps
I haven't seen this occur for any local business brands - it tends to happen on larger national brands with an established presence. This isn't paid, it's part of Google Knowledge Graph and/or Google Plus. However for almost all brand results I have seen that get this result, it pulls information from their brand's Google+ business page, so I'd say that's essential. Other elements like a completed Wikipedia entry and a large fan/follower base on Google+ will also play a role. So in regards to a small business, it's not going to happen quickly. What type of niche are you in where your competitors are getting this and you're not?

They are both good if the content is good. Ive always used PrWeb and have been happy with it. I would call both companies and compare their distribution outlets, see which site delivers to more quality, or more niche related sites to your own.

Blog for SEO
I link back to my site, to help tie together content matches that I think can help the user/reader. I keep in in check depending on the length of the blog piece, the intricacy of the topic (is it jargon heavy or really technical?) and work from there. Good content, to me, does match up to SEO because you're targeting what your user cares about and looking for. Using the same best practices makes sense. (You can have great content but if you didn't SEO it well, then how easy is it for people to find to know it's good?) Don't go overboard because it can seem spammy and be a reader turn off.
