So now that Google are going to remove 3rd party citations from listings, will they still carry the same weight for local rankings or will this be reduced? If so, how much and when?

What impact will Google removing 3rd party citations from listings have on citations being ranking factors?

RE: Does anyone know if SoloSEO will ever be available again?
Wowzers, that was above and beyond the call of duty lol
Thanks Chris!!
The problem is, I have quite a few thousand links I'm going to need to put in under a few dozen categories.
I saw that there was a feature request for something similar so I gave it some votes. If they do put that in, which by the sounds of things they might well do, then I'll certainly purchase a membership.
Thank you again, you've been extremely helpful

RE: Does anyone know if SoloSEO will ever be available again?
Damn, it's actually pretty close to what I need but adding tasks can only be done manually and one at a time... i.e. a link list with a hundred links would need to be done added as 100 separate tasks, clicking add task and the pasting the link in each time

RE: Does anyone know if SoloSEO will ever be available again?
Ooh, I'm sure I'd checked out MySEOtool before and didn't see that... have they only just added it or something?
Yeah I do love RavenTools but the Basecamp Combo is a bit overkill for what I need it for to be honest. I basically just want to make a duplicate-able to-do list (as opposed to the hundreds of bits of paper I have everywhere).
Thanks Chris, I'll check out the trial for MySEOtool now

Ah thanks Kerry. I wonder why they decided to pull the plug like that.

Does anyone know if SoloSEO will ever be available again?
I never got to try out their customisable DIY checklists for link building project management.
For a long time now, going to the site and trying to get the trial or make a purchase just takes you to a page stating that SoloSEO is now private and therefore unavailable. I tried emailing them but got no response

Anyone happen to know if it'll ever be back, or if there's any other similar tools out there (customisable check lists)?

RE: 2000 pages indexed in Yahoo, 0 in Google. NO PR, What is wrong?
LOL, the fact that there's a tonne of clearly spun content won't help. I gather this is part of a content scraping or sharing network like LinkVine?
Have you tried reading the articles published? Could do with some quality guidelines for what gets accepted imho

Even when it gets indexed, it's not going to rank anywhere... this is exactly the kind of site that Panda wanted to stop. Regurgitated, nonsensical, spun, tosh that looks as if it was written by a lunatic and only really exists for the sake of its outgoing links, that point to other rubbish.
I'd tell your friend to give up on this site entirely and start looking at less automated ways of doing things. Google is only going to get tougher and tougher on these sites so he's fighting a losing battle.
I don't mean to be rude but I hope it doesn't get indexed ever, what value does it offer to anyone for anything? Most people don't want stuff like that clogging up the web. I don't mean to sound harsh but tell your friend the problem with the site is.... it's crap.

RE: Why my site is "STILL" violating the Google quality guidelines?
This is purely a guess, but I'd try the following:
Remove the ad at the top (it "could" be construed as misleading as it appears much like an internal navigation menu, with the links that are showing there seeming like links people should click on for categories on the site, when in fact it's an ad).
Then submit a re-inclusion again.
It's the only thing that really stands out to me.

RE: Culling 99% of a website's pages. Will this cause irreparable damage?
I do hope Ryan gets "Good Answer" and/or "Endorsed Answer" for this... hint, hint

RE: Google Page Rank of my site has dropped from 4/10 to 3/10
Getting great links is the way to go, but that can be easier said than done. Primarily you want to attract natural links through the promoting content, but you can build links too. Have a look at these tools: http://www.seomoz.org/labs/link-finder/index.php and http://www.seomoz.org/link-finder

RE: What is the best way to analyze all of the outgoing links from a website to determine which links are not beneficial?
lol well that would be a niche where you'll get some link troubles. But yes you're right it's very likely that some of those outgoing links are causing the issue. Any site that is spammy or in a spammy neighbourhood needs to be removed. Do you really need to keep any of them? Reciprocal links really don't do a lot for you anyway.

RE: Addicted to SEO: Please Help!
"What are some steps of your own 12-steps that help you detox from this addicting lifestyle?"
There are none, you're stuck with it now... resistance is futile, embrace it!
If you started five months ago you might not have read this yet, get it and read it, it will help you quench some of your SEO thirst for knowledge

RE: Retail Searching Patterns
There's tonnes of research out there on the purchasing/buying process/cycle.
Here's a good one: http://www.searchengineguide.com/jennifer-laycock/understanding-t.php

RE: High PR vs Low PR and Relative
I'm sticking with my guns on that PR is a bad metric to judge stuff on so I'd definitely go for the relevant sites... even IF PR is still of anything more than a tiny value, relevance kicks ass over it.

RE: Buying a prepositioned URL thats good in Google, bad in Bing
Don't forget that in some instances if ownership on whois changes as well as the content then the domain could lose some of its age based trust, and therefore rankings. Though I have no idea how common place that is, I've just heard it around so possibly worth checking out.

RE: Has google panelized us ? If so, why ? How do I know if our website is panelized ?
Thanks. I think I can see where the main problems are... you have quite a few ads and loads, and loads of outgoing links with very little unique content. The majority of the content you have there is fed in through affiliate programs and so will exist in many other places too.
I would suggest that you separate a lot of what you have on the homepage into different categories and landing pages, at the same time as adding some static and unique content on each.
After doing that, fill out a re-inclusion request with Google.
Usually when people think they've been penalized it turns out they haven't and there's just some other issue but I think you most likely have been penalized in this case.

RE: What is the best way to analyze all of the outgoing links from a website to determine which links are not beneficial?
When you say it has a lot of link partners, do you mean it has swapped links with a bunch of link farms?
Can you share the site address, I reckon it will be easy to spot which ones to keep and which to get rid of.... keep the ones to relevant content for a start

RE: What are the 5-10 Core SEO activities for a small agency to focus on
-
Ensure the content is good quality, and ensure it contains some original and useful stuff
-
Promote the content on the basis that it's good quality and it will hopefully gain links, shares, etc... naturally
-
Link build with anchor text to relevant pages from relevant pages on relevant sites, but don't over-do it with the anchor text, only a percentage of it should be keyworded.
-
Diversify with your link building, so get links from different types of sites such as blogs, forums, directories, articles, social media platforms, and do a bit of bookmarking too.
-
Start looking on blogs, etc... and on here about how social signals are seemingly becoming more and more important, and think about how you will begin to work that fact into your future strategies.

Can you tell us the domain?
