Blog engagement award system (like on Moz)
Thanks Casey, that's handy to know... was still considering them despite the costs as I 'assumed' at such high rates the service would be excellent but I guess it's not always a case of you get what you pay for. Cheers for the heads up

Help! Optimizing dynamic internal search results pages...
Hi Steve, Sorry for responding so late. So whenever we have a situation as having many dynamic pages optimized, I always get back to the idea of Faceted Navigation. This way you will give the Search Engines one path to crawl to each products (but be aware that you will need to invest time and energy to have a well planned, structured navigation path). What's the positive behind Faceted navigation: it will resolve the duplicate page flag on your products (giving search engines only one good specified path to crawl) it will raise the user experience as the visitors will have the chance to easily get to the desired product fast The negatives: Are there any? - Ok, seriously speaking, you will need to sit down and think a lot of which path you choose, how to resolve it to be efficient, the web dev team will work a few days/weeks (depending on their other tasks, importance of their tasks, etc.) What it will bring to your site (relative to what you have now): currently you have noindex on the "category" (basically a search page with a filter on it, right?) page. With faceted navigation this current structure will be completed with an "tree" structure to your final products on the specified path (that you have chosen). I hope this is clear and helped! Gr. Istvan

Link Location Still Making That Much Difference?
Yeah that does clear things up in my head... do you think it's always the case though. I mean with blogs yeah I reckon it is massively, but on normal informational sites you tend to see a lot of links to "useful information" types stuff in sidebars... i.e. A website about planning permission for houses that would link to the local council for regulations, etc... I'm just wondering if the slurry of poor content blogs with contextual links that ensued the discussions on block level a few years back has resulted in the whole idea being scaled back. Again I would rule out the footer altogether as it will I'm sure always be considered a place where no decent link would be put. But to me, a sidebar link could be of more importance to the user than one within the content... in a sense like it's more something a site is offering users to see, standing out from the content if that makes sense. Kind of like what you said with the list of great resources, would you usually find that in the content window? I often see them in the sidebar. Just to clarify though, I think "When crap links to crap the position of the link does not matter." is totally right but would you say "When quality links to quality the position of the link does not matter." was absolutely the case, or do you think it does matter a bit, just not loads?

Anybody else noticing some serious dung ranking well for no reason lately?
Yeah I think it's almost difficult to see it anyway as it's so random and isn't affecting the SERP's in general... it just seems to be literally "some" SERPs. I wish I could give an example. Maybe I'm just becoming more and more paranoid lol

Should we be bracing ourselves for a YSE to OSE mass migration?
Just FYI - our data scientist, Matt Peters, has written a great blog post about PA/DA that's launching in the next couple days, and that might help with this question.

How come the external on-page report tool is better than the campaign one?
It's okay... I should have deleted this question. I brought it up in another thread and Rand was like "Wha?" so I checked again and it turns out I was being moronic and must have dreamed the issue up from nowhere lol. Thank you anyway hehe... see, you guys are that good with support you're even there to fix problems that imagined!!

Is there any news or an ETA on the new task list tool?
Ah, good question. At the moment this project is still in planning, so I don't have a firm ETA yet. There's a good chance we will release the task list functionality in phases and I'm hoping to have a first phase out before the end of the year. I'll be sure to share some more information when the plan is better defined.

Views on PR - My complete U-Turn as of today...
Thanks, yeah the video says pretty much what I was thinking, that whilst PR isn't worth obsessing over, it is worth watching (i.e. as a sign of Google's reactions to stuff, such as penalties)... I stopped watching it all together about two years ago but it seems I need to start watching it again.

Does anyone know if SoloSEO will ever be available again?
Wowzers, that was above and beyond the call of duty lol Thanks Chris!! The problem is, I have quite a few thousand links I'm going to need to put in under a few dozen categories. I saw that there was a feature request for something similar so I gave it some votes. If they do put that in, which by the sounds of things they might well do, then I'll certainly purchase a membership. Thank you again, you've been extremely helpful

SEO Faith Shaker... help!!
Just as a FYI... We have had two clients move to Word press platforms in the last month, and both had a big gain in rankings for a few days ( not sure if it was a week or 10 days, we don't check every day) but then both dropped back to where they had been (basically). Like others here, and I discuss this with clients often; don't pay any attention to major changes in rankings unless they last for a few weeks. Would you let us know what happens to your clients ranking on the word press site?

Recommendation for a company to make a site more mobile friendly?
Thanks Donnie, yeah I contacted Cindy... just didn't know if there was mobile SEO only, instead of Mobile UX. But it sounds like she deals with both.
