WhoIs penalty
Here's Matt Cutts on this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9Ka0fzyZbk His answer is basically saying that in almost every case you could not be affected by the fact that there were other spammy sites sharing your hosting. He said that there are really rare cases whereby if one host has a crazy amount of spammy sites they may take action on all of these sites, but he made a point of saying that this is really rare. So no, I'd be looking for some other cause for the rankings to drop.

Ranking with subdomain - Urgent
Hello, To answer your question, yes it is possible to rank sub-domains. In general they tend not to rank as well as root domains but they can and do rank. Depending on the difficulty of keywords, you'll have different results. I think your going to have more challenges using Wix in general than other CMS sites. While I don't have any personal experience with Wix, I have seen many post here about problems with ranking, and more often with reporting.Google "Moz SEO Wix" to see some of the other questions and concerns raised on these forums. Wix uses Javascript to load data to your webpages. The problem with this is that Javascript is client side script which basically means the page is loaded after you get to a page, while crawlers expect the content to load from the server (server side). This is basically a way to say "most" crawlers / spiders will not be able to read your site. Which makes reporting, and SEO particularly difficult. That is not saying your site will not rank, Google has one of the most sophisticated crawlers and likely can read through it, but trying to tweek anything will prove challenging without the help of many of the SEO tools out there. I will also add, "free sub-domain" sets off an alarm for me. In general sub-domains are inherently free. Wix may mean that you may use their tools to design the domain, but it just sounds funny. Kinda like saying free water with every car wash. Anyway hope that answers your questions and gives you some help, Don

Backlinks with less authority the own website
Hi there. Yes, it will. It works pretty much the same way as old PageRank system. Website's authority is divided equally by number of outgoing dofollow links. So, yes, you will get juice, just less than from more authoritive website. Check images from this old post: https://moz.com/blog/link-consolidation-the-new-pagerank-sculpting

Would this be classed as a dodgy backlinking? - Important
There is some level of SEO value to be had from these but as the other comments have touched on, they're not necessarily the best ways to go about it. Done correctly, each of these methods are perfectly fine, just make sure you're doing it for the right reasons. For example, don't just start dumping links all over Reddit and play the numbers game. You risk getting banned but more importantly, the best you can hope for is a negative association with your brand name. On the other hand, if you have a resource that is very relevant to a particular topic then by all means, link to it. As an example, if you find a thread looking for specific data on a topic and you happen to have a (quality!) infographic that addresses the query perfectly, you're going to genuinely help answer the question and this is the key factor. Also, each of these should be used sparingly. If 80% of your link profile consists of Stumbleupon links, you're not going to gain all that much strength.

Should brand/company be included in meta title?
Hi, There is no right and wrong answer on your question. I would definitely recommended to use brand name in meta tittles for brand recognition. If potential visitors start seeing your brand name in search results, than see it somewhere across social networks or PPC ads, there is high possibility for them to remember your brand and eventually click to see what is it all about. Ofcourse you should concentrate more on relevant keywords, but if you have enough space i don't see a reason not to include it on the end of a string. If your brand is well known or stand for quality, than including the brand name in meta tittle adds value to your search snippet. But, if it is not well known, you are on a good track for it to become well known f.x Black leather jackets for woman | Brand Name Regards, Dusan meaning if you sell pencils and your brand name is XYZ

Keyword Organising
Hi there. What kind of keyword organizing are you talking about? As far as I know there are no good tools for organizing keywords. I use google sheets - you can do quite a lot with them. Also you can write your own scripts. However, we are in process of building our own custom solution for in-house use. Because it will satisfy every single nuance i need. Quite honestly, it isn't that much work time if you plan carefully. So, I'd recommend talking to your developer team

Moz Forum Responses Crashing Outlook 365
Hi friends, Sorry for the delay in responding. I have a great news -- as of today, this bug for Q&A forum emails has been fixed. (Any emails timestamped now 1:20pm PDT and going forward.) Unfortunately, this bug is also happening in Blog comment emails. The blog and Q&A systems are not tied together, and the development work on it rests with another dev team. The good news is that we know the issue (half the battle). We are working on prioritizing the work, and I'm hoping that in the next couple months (at most), this will be fixed. Thanks Update 7/28/16 - The blog comments are also fixed. This bug is fixed!

Building Page Rank
Page Authority is a measure of a page's link strength, so to raise it you'll likely need to get some high-quality external links to those pages. Check out this article on Page Authority (and this one on Domain Authority).

Metrics?
Haha, I love how Matt explained this. I agree, steering Wheel is not the car in itself you still have to look in to other areas.

Fetch as Google
Google will recrawl the page much quicker and is more likely to update it's index based on any changes you made to the page (or index it for the first time). As Ria said, there is no downside.

How do you optimise for multiple keywords?
You may want to consider approaching this optimization from a topical perspective, rather that trying to rank for multiple exact-match keywords. If you haven't, I strongly recommend reading through Cyrus Shepard's "Keywords to Concepts" to get a sense of how that works.

Anyone know of a free keyword monitoring tool?
If you want a tool that's more comprehensive & tracks a large group of your target keywords and competitors why not pay for it? Companies that put out good tools like that need to pay for server space and development time (which isn't cheap), so most will only give you a small taste of the program when you're on a free plan. Several thousand keywords means you're asking for a pretty large chunk of space to be dedicated to your project, so you'll have to pay to have meaningful data. I just looked a Rank Tracker from Link Assistant, and that looks like a pretty good tool; you're not going to get much out of the free plan though. Sure you can run ranking checks, but you won't be able to save the results to compare over time and you won't be able to export. If that's $125 for a lifetime license, I'd say that's a pretty good deal. You could also check out SERPwoo for some affordable keyword tracking plans.

Does domain authority to pass between countries?
As far as we know, the location of the domain does not have any significant impact on whether or not it can pass authority through outbound links.

Ideas to increase PA
Hi there, Eric is right in that linking through other authoritative pages to your product can help increase the rankings and traffic to that page. Generating links to the domain generally can also indirectly help individual pages rank better as well. Here are some specific ways that you may be able to generate links to either your product page directly or to other pages: Check for people linking to broken pages on your website. You can check Mozscape and filter by 404 pages to find these. if you do find any, you can reach out to the people who link to get them to change it or you can 301 redirect to another relevant page. If you use images on your product page or use your company logo, use a Google reverse image search to look for people using these images but not linking to you. Generate content ideas for use-cases of your product. So you can create things like buying guides or long-form information guides that can support the product. You can use tools such as Huballin and Answer the Republic to find inspiration for these kind of ideas. Use a tool like Buzzsumo to find what your competitors are doing and how they're generating links and social shares. I wrote a blog post on this a few months ago which you can read here. I hope that helps! Paddy
