I am looking for advice regarding implementing video clips to promote Travel spots in South Africa for my website. My website is hosted in South Africa.

The key areas i am looking for advice on are:

1. Where to host my videos? On my website or a third party website eg Vimeo

2. Has anyone got any experience of using third party video hosting services and any recommendations?

3. From an SEO perspective is it better to host locally on my server or on a third party provider?

4. Any receommendations on software to use to edit my video clips and create a professional look and feel.

Hi Gary, there is a lot of chat on this on the Google Webmaster Forum . It's happening all over. Some people seeing the same domain dominate 8 out of the first 10 search results on Page 1 . Great if that's your domain - not so good for everyone else. Also not such a great user experience in my opinion.

Can any recommend a Map Search tool that i can integrate into my accommodation website. Ideally I want to be able to pin my clients on the map search with links back to their listing page on my website and provide an alternative search facility for clients looking for accommodation. Am covering the South Africa region specifically. Am assuming that i could go down the Google Maps route but would really like to know what alternatives there are on offer. Also what SEO considerations do i need to think about when adding this to my website.

first of please go easy on me as this is my first ever post !

I have a question regarding Sitelinks. Obviously I am pleased to have 8 Sitelinks now appearing in my GWT account. However one of my sitelinks has an obscure title of 'FIRST' which to the person searching will mean nothing - the actual link to one of my site pages is a good one and i dont really want to 'block' it in GWT and just wondered if anyone had any ideas what might be driving Google to 'auto-detect' the word 'First' for the link in question.

The following 'google search example' link will show you what i mean

My result is the first one on the list.
