A friend of mine, working for a child daycare center, experienced the same issue lately. Seems like some flaw in the Google system. Hope this has been resolved along with the major Google Local Business Center update.

RE: Google Places category language issue
Hi Miriam,
Thanks for your help!
We only use Dutch in The Netherlands, so I didn't have any choice when adding a new listing. It just defaulted to English, even though I chose a location in The Netherlands and our existing listing is in Dutch.
I guess you're probably right that the only solution is to contact Google about this.

Google Places category language issue
Hi there!
I've recently added a new listing in our Google Places for Business account. When adding the basic info initially, the category suggestions where in English, so I just picked one. We are based in The Netherlands however, so I'd like to use the Dutch categories.
When I edit our existing listing, the category suggestions are Dutch. When I edit our new listing, suggestions keep showing in English. Does anyone know how I can change this?
I tried to switch language settings in my Google account, but it seems like the categories are just stuck on a certain language once the listing is set up?
Thanks for your help!

Changing Adwords campaign titles still mess up Analytics data?
Recently, Google announced an update in de Google Analytics Adwords integration that should wield out the ancient trouble caused by changing your campaign titles in Adwords.
Two months have passed, but I still see double entries for the same campaign after a (minor) title change.
Are they still busy rolling out the update to all Analytics account or is there something wrong with our Adwords<>Analytics integration?
What's your experience?

RE: Moz email is freezing Microsoft Outlook
What's even worse: if you start Outlook and if the last e-mail to come in before the last time you closed Outlook was a MOZ Q&A one, it already freezes at startup.
I'll have to disable email notifications for now, since they ruin my productivity.

RE: Moz email is freezing Microsoft Outlook
Any word on when this will be solved? I've added Moz to the trusted senders list, so it auto-loads all images.

RE: Web development - License CSS/Markup/Code
Hi Demetrios,
The webdev companies I've worked with didn't posses the rights to the code. We always claim ownership of the source code and all others properties in every project.

RE: Serving campaign based content in Wordpress
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your answer. I'm quite blank when it comes to php, so I guess this might be a good reason to dig into it :).
Although the php approach makes it very powerful in terms of dynamic display criteria, I think this could be quite a pain to configure & maintain in case of multiple campaigns with a multitude of (product) pages.
I'd like a solution where I can assign certain page elements and site sections to show content in a placeholder based on several campaign criteria, including date, time, geography, referrer, keyword, etc. Running the same campaign on several sites would be even better (we have 18).

Serving campaign based content in Wordpress
Hi Mozzers,
I'm searching for a software platform/plugin/tool to show specific content on a campaign basis in our Wordpress site.
It's basically like an ad management system (like Google DFP) but with the ability to define specific content area's (i.e. widgets) on our website and show custom HTML content. For example: I'd like to show a special offer on a range of product pages for a limited time only but I don't want to be restrained to ad standards.
As far as I know, Google DFP doesn't support custom HTML content. Does anyone know a good solution I can integrate with our Wordpress site easily?
Thanks for thinking with me!

RE: Inconsistent page titles in SERP's
Hi Simon,
Thanks for your tip. That could very well be the case here, although I need to know for sure before I settle with this interpretation.
Take this search for example:
I searched for "opleiding veiligheidskunde" and it should be an exact match with the actual page title. Though Google shows only "Veiligheidskunde" in the SERP, which can't be argued to be a better match than "opleiding veiligheidskunde". On top of that we've gone down from pos. 4 to 6 in the past couple of weeks for this keyword.
That's why I'm concerned that Google not only displays another title, but our rankings are also influenced because it's not an exact match anymore.

Inconsistent page titles in SERP's
I encountered a strange phenomenon lately and I’d like to hear if you have any idea what’s causing it.
For the past couple of weeks I’ve seen some our Google rankings getting unstable. While looking for a cause, I found that for some pages, Google results display another page title than the actual meta title of the page.
Examples
Meta title: Atex cursus opleider met ruim 40 jaar ervaring - Atexopleiding.nl
Title in SERP: Atexopleiding.nl: Atex cursus opleider met ruim 40 jaar ervaring
http://www.reedbusinessopleidingen.nl/opleidingen/veiligheid/veiligheidskunde
Meta title: Opleiding Veiligheidskunde, MBO & HBO - Reed Business Opleidingen
Title in SERP: Veiligheidskunde - Reed Business Opleidingen
http://www.pbna.com/vca-examens/
Meta title: Behaal uw VCA diploma bij de grootste van Nederland - PBNA
Title in SERP: VCA Examens – PBNA
I’ve looked in the source code, fetched some pages as Googlebot in WMT, but the title shown in the SERP doesn’t even exist in the source code.
Now I suspect this might have something to do with the “cookiewall” implemented on our sites. Here’s why:
- Cookiewall was implemented end of January
- The problem didn’t exist until recently, though I can’t pinpoint an exact date.
- Problem exists on both rbo.nl, atexopleiding.nl & pbna.com, the latter running on Silverstripe CMS instead of WP. This rules out CMS specific causes.
- The image preview in the SERPS of many pages show the cookie alert overlay
However, I’m not able to technically prove that the cookiescript causes this and I’d like to rule out other any obvious causes before I "blame it on the cookies" :).
What do you think?

RE: Automated Custom Google Analytics reporting tool
Hi David,
Thanks for your advice. I know, also have a pro account there :). But it's only aimed at traffic and rankings and doesn't cover eCommerce for example.

Automated Custom Google Analytics reporting tool
The automated Dashboard reporting feature of Google Analytics is quite nice, but very limited when it comes to customizing layout. The three column layout just doesn't match the boards need for a high level, easy to read weekly online performance report.
I'm looking for a tool to make auto-email customized PDF reports out of Analytics data, with lots of customisation options and presented in a sleek but very readable manner.
I already found a bunch of Excel plugins to extract Analytics data into Excel, but that doesn't allow me to send automated PDF reports by e-mail. I also found web-based tools like Reporting Suite and Bime, but options seem to be limited other than that.
Can anyone recommend a tool with the desired features?
UPDATE: Recently the official Analytics blog posted a cool article about automating Analytics Report using Google Apps Script and the Analytics API together with Google Spreadsheets & Google Sites. I didn't try it yet, but it could very well be the answer to my question. Check it out: http://analytics.blogspot.nl/2012/08/automate-google-analytics-reporting.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+blogspot/tRaA+(Google+Analytics+Blog)
