I looked at your site and was not able to see any links from the plasticstorage.com site to the simplastics.co.uk site. I used a couple backlink tools and was not able to see any links there either. I did notice a huge drop in backlinks recently. Once tool showed you had 30k+ links in March on the plasticstorage.com site but have dropped over 10k links. Is it possible the links you are seeing in Google were present and have just recently been removed? If so, expect it to take Google 30 days to crawl all of your site and recognize the changes.

Hi all... actually it is not the physical presence of a site in a targeted country that matters, but its IP, that is why you can choose if having the site hosted in the targeted country or buying an IP corresponding to that country, and operates via proxy caching. Said that, and also due to the evolution of the Cloud, Google is not considering it a main factor, as it says here: Server location (through the IP address of the server). The server location is often physically near your users and can be a signal about your site’s intended audience. Some websites use distributed content delivery networks (CDNs) or are hosted in a country with better webserver infrastructure, so it is not a definitive signal. (from this post)

I would not 301 redirects because it passes link juice, it will also pass the link juice from sites that have nothing to do with your phrases. What I would recommend is starting a new site. Manually check all your old backlinks.

Facebook notes are an effective way to generate SEO value. Use to be much stronger SEO generated but the SEO value seems to be declining. Regardless, crazy not to take advantage of it if you are using facebook. We are making sure that our notes posted are keyword rich by utilizing the title of our note and our "page name" and making sure it is a unique note with unique content, If you do that you will be happy with the results...... This is a decent posting of some stuff you can do with facebook seo optimization that I used in one of our SEO playbooks I created earlier this year. I recently took on the task of performing SEO on a several hunded page Joomla site.  It is truly a nightmare to work on compared to WordPress. Joomla may have come a long way - but it has miles to go.  I recommend against this platform for anyone who cares about SEO.

That's a great question and I really don't know the answer.... How would i find out?  My site is still indexed, its just ranking very poorly for the keywords that most of these links used as anchor text....

How can i tell if a link is considered spam or not?  I have personally submitted my site to a bunch of social bookmarking sites, I don't know if that's considered spam or not..... For instance, is this spam : http://it.savenkeep.com/anticipazioni-chrome/ I'm going through my backlinks through WMT and half of the sites have been deindexed or taken down, but the ones that remain scraped articles i wrote for article submission sites and added it to their sites... why would G penalize me for this... i have no idea who these people are.... for instance : camelcrochet.info  <--- who are these people, how did they find me, and why are articles i wrote posted all over their site? We don't have too many Magento people in here, and I myself don't have any experience with it. However, a couple of things to look at. First, can you do a spot check of those records and see if they are all product records, or if some of them are transaction records? Are some of them maybe expired products? Or options on products such as color or size?

Hi, You've got some good answers there with regard to the Facebook links. If you're looking to post images, I'd use pinterest.com. Use the Google Chrome plugin to pin the images directly from your site and you get a do-follow link back. The value of the link is up for debate due the sheer size of the site but I've seen decent traffic levels coming from Pinterest recently. Make sure you write a decent description for each image you pin, engage with other users and I'm sure you'll see results.

That is not correct, every previous crawl finishes within 7 days of the previous one and new results are updated. I contacted SEOMOZ and they advised that there is a problem on their end which is causing two of my campaigns to not be crawled. This is unfortunate as I rely on this data to make improvements, but i guess it is what it is...

Well the thing is that it is not ethical to do this type of thing. If Google finds out you are trying to sabotage your competitors it can end up making your company/brand look very very bad. you would never try this for a big respected brand. That been said people do this kind of thing every day in niches like poker, I also saw a recent example in my market where a clients website was hit with 1000s of adult links from competitors over night.
