How to Change Geo Target Location of Country Specific Domain
Hi - I have a country specific domain (www.updater.in), used it for writing blog articles
Now when i go to site settings in Webmaster - the Geo target by default is coming for India, and no option of changing geographic target.
Is there any way to let Search Engines know (despite .in domain) that site Geo Location is not country specific, but is meant for users from all across !!

RE: Should I be deindexing pages with thin or weak content?
Hi - If you have too many thin pages developed on site - the best way as suggested by Chris too - is 'noindex, follow'
There is no negative Impact, rather helps Search Engines to understand site hierarchy better - by been allowed to crawl and index on rather pages with full of content. The follow tag will pass on all link authority to internal links. Only the page will be deindexed from search engines
Its in a way good - as no user will land on to pages, with very little or no content - thus avoiding single page bounces too

RE: Can we retrieve all 404 pages of my site?
It will scan and list you all results, like 301 redirect, 200, 404 errors, 403 errors. However, screaming frog can spider upto 500 urls in there free product
If you have more, suggest to go with Xenu Link Sleuth. Download it, get your site crawled and get all pages including server error 404 to unlimited pages.

RE: Changing Domains - How much link juice is lost with 301 redirect?
See, if you going to change domain name and aptly make correct 301 redirect to corresponding pages (following the same url pattern) of new site with same **content, title and description - **then you are home.
Adding to what Mr. Robert said - you can also check on url hierarchy through Xenu Link Sleuth or Screaming frog seo spider of your old domain and new site (post migration). Compare the link structure. If everything goes on well - you may experience 301 redirect working upto 99% and can almost see your similar rankings with new domain

RE: Forum website rel="nofollow" is this Good?
I have a different view:- Why you looking to nofollow your forum. Forum pages are Internal links of website. Its actually should be avoidable to make internal pages as nofollow
Refer this Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=4SAPUx4Beh8

RE: Canonicalized Website
You need to determine first, what is causing duplicate
-
is it Tags - which are causing duplicates
-
Is it like index.php file where site is getting crawled with www.moxicopy.com/blog/index.php
-
is it that a blog is accessed by 2 or more urls like with or without category :- www.moxicopy.com/blog/category/topic and www.maxicopy.com/blog/topic
You need to identify the cause, will suggest
-
Noindex to Tags
-
Apply canonical from index.php pages and category pages
Point is :- A page should be accessed by 1 url only and all other duplicate should be canonical to original url. This will lead Search Engines to not only index your site better, but even the page authority will also be highest with the main page.

RE: Why isn't seo moz properly crawling my site?
Hi -
Is it the Initial Crawl or Full Crawl ?
If its initial crawl, may be you should wait for the final crawl report. However, just a query - have you checked like - Are your pages not getting blocked by meta noindex or through robots tag... What are the sort of errors you getting
For further info should read this article that why the pages do not get crawled https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/409821-Why-Isn-t-My-Site-Being-Crawled-You-re-Not-Crawling-All-My-Pages-
If you still feel an issue - may be can write directly to Moz staff on - help@moz.com

RE: Blocking out specific URLs with robots.txt

Correct command as stated by Lesley is /cats/ . Refer official documentation

RE: Authorship Photo Not showing in for last 6 months now
Does Google has any such penalty to sites for not showing rich snippets too
I have checked with 2 developers - the schema tags (ratings and offers) too are put up correctly - however they still do not show up in search engine - Google
If there is any such penalty - how to recover from it - when entire coding is correct.
-
As Authorship Photo not showing. Also, the schema offer tag is not showing, however it shows in rich snippet - http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mycarhelpline.com%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_newcar%26view%3Dproduct%26Itemid%3D2%26id%3D14%26vid%3D193
-
Also, the schema rating tag too is not showing in search results
Any suggestions pls

RE: Pages linked with Spam been 301 redirected to 404\. Is it ok
Thanks Jesse, am finding a way to delete them by checking with another developer
If still - it does not work out - as recommended atleast 302 seems a better bet than 301 redirect for these pages. May advise !!

Does Backlinks from User Profile Page Still Matter
Though, lot of algorithmic changes, updates have happened. However, backlinks from quality source or trusted sites has hardly lost its importance and thats why Open SIte Explorer or Majestic seo is still there to find quality of backlinks, trust factor and authority factor of the backlinks.
I need to know does having backlink (dofollow) from Profile Page - still matters and if yes - will a do follow backlink from Moz Profile Page or any authority site or forum page, having dofollow link from user profile page - does it still count as a mark to authority of your site.

RE: Meta tags
This depends on the site crawl - how big the site is, how often are the pages been crawled
However, what you can do is
-
Go to Webmaster, fetch as Google and submit Url and all linked pages
-
For temporary faster crawl - you can also increase the crawl rate
As per Webmaster - "Our goal is to crawl as many pages from your site as we can without overwhelming your server's bandwidth. You can change the crawl rate (the speed of Google's requests during the crawl) for sites at the root or subdomain level - for example,__**www.example.com **and **http://subdomain.example.com. **The new custom crawl rate will be valid for 90 days"
- Submit your main pages to Pinterest, Reddit for getting picked by search Engines
-
-
RE: What are the meta tags should be included in the website and all its pages?
- Are you only targeting to your Site to US. Even if answer is yes, its better to do it through Webmaster by adding up country.
The tag is not much of use, unless a strict parameter to Search Engines are provided for same. Bing might be using same - Google ignores it
-
RE: What are the meta tags should be included in the website and all its pages?
-
Title & Description tag - as a good snippet practice to tell search engines and user - what the page all about.
-
Meta Robots not required, unless you specifically like to noindex or nofollow the page. By default, all pages without meta robots are considered index, follow
-
Meta Charset - though generally this automatically gets generated by templates
-
