The word on keyword density was a factor back in the day.  Many years ago, the ratio was 3.7% to 4.2% of keyword usage compared to the remainder of copy.  They state this no longer applicable, but this I think this addresses your question more specifically.

I would go with your intuition and focus on brand.  The address is your G+ page, which translates to maps and your site.  Ideally, you have your business address noted in the site with Structured Data Markup.  That seems to cover your bases.

Seems like there are many variants that could be considered, but what occurs to me is your primary stated concern.  You mentioned, "that link building to a separate page will not help with SEO for the main product page, which was the original goal."  I wouldn't undermine your original goal.At this point, you've moved into a CRO space.  So your offering helpful information in trade for the subscriber information or at least tagging with analytics to understand the download activity is a good idea.  Once the user downloads the info, you embed a clear call to action inside the document that routes back to a unique landing page and converts the user to engage in your product offering.  Now you can track how effective this document will be for the user and gaining trust.  If they are compelled to buy after reading the document, that provides data to you in two ways.  This off the top of my head, but I would map out a usability flow and use this to engage the user in deeper and more meaningful way for your organization.

I agree with the comment above.  I think your priorities and focus for content and social sharing are key to your long-term success.  Authorized directories are still essential (for now).  So DMOZ and the quality directories will be helpful to supplement your long-term goals.  Some of the business directories set the links as a nofollow, so you want to research that.  Hope that helps.

Are you running reports from MOZ to monitor errors, warnings, etc?  You mentioned the overhaul of your sites in the last 12 months.  Curious to know what measures (KPIs) you are using.  Are you seeing improvements?  With the timeframe you described, I would be curious to know how your rankings have improved during this time, how this translates to site traffic, and conversions within the site.  Are users engaging?

Beyond the crawl... if a user is searching via key term to your site and the user gets a an error, that can certainly have an impact.  You mentioned 500K Google search users could be impacted, so I would not be surprised if you don't notice a bounce.  Moving forward, you may want to consider a Content Distribution Network service.  If your main site goes down, the cached site can still be accessed by users.  With the amount of traffic you mentioned, you'll need to do some research on this, but it may be a way to mitigate this risk in the future.  Best of luck.

Hi, I typically prioritize Errors and then Warnings. Tracking down and fixing the issue with the 404 is hopefully pretty straightforward. Fixing the 302 is tedious work, but necessary. Fixing redirects is addressed at your server/Cpanel level. Adding information to your missing meta description tags could be helpful to your SERP. You may consider SEO 2013 by Dr. Andy Williams. It's a quick read and provides a fairly high level overview of the main items to consider. A:  I would be shocked if there isn't a team (if not an army) doing this now.

A:  Sure and I suspect they are working on it.

Q.  Do you think that Facebook (being such a powerful site), could make a lot of money by implementing an SEO/Content strategy?

A:  I'm not FB usability expert, but I would invest in improving their site search capabilities first.  Just an opinion.
