Can someone explain the attached rankings?
Bing cares a lot about errors, where Google is not as concerned as long as it can crawl your site. As Trenton suggests, use Bing Webmaster Tools and then use the Bing SEO Analyzer to get some insight into how Bing is crawling your site. I would also recommend reading 27 Things That Help and Hurt SEO on the Bing blogs - as this lets you know what to pay attention to and what to skip when doing SEO for Bing. Hope this helps. Mike

Eliminate render blocking javascript and css recommendation?
Yes, it's over a month, and for the most part of the month our page speed score was 66 ave for the 3 seconds. Now, with the adjustments I've made and switching to a new hosting company, we're at an 81 as of this morning. So, I guess if 3 seconds at a 66 isn't terrible, we'll probably be in an acceptable range following the improvements. Either way, thanks so much for the industry stats and the article. It's easy to find "how to make your website faster" info, but MUCH more difficult to find an article that I can trust. Thanks for the tip! Ruben

Is there a paid link hierarchy?
Paid links are a tricky area, and there are a lot of loopholes. If a company is straight up selling you a link for money, just to manipulate Google's rankings, then that's a definite no-no. However, if you are paying for a service Martindale-Hubbard that also happens to include a link, that could be seen as ok. Many directories also get around this by charging you a "review fee" and not guaranteeing inclusion, therefore making the payment about the service rather than the actual link. A good rule of thumb when evaluating links is to ask yourself "Would I still want this link, even if it had no impact on Google?" if the answer is yes, then it's probably a good link. Also, evaluate the site to make sure it is high quality and in Google's graces, i.e. does it have pagerank, are its pages indexed, do they link to spammy sites or only quality ones, etc.

Wild Fluctuations With Yahoo/Bing Moz Report
Ours do the exact same thing. Keyword rankings for one of our campaigns were reported today and there were fluctuations from down more than 48 to up more than 26. One term is ranking 17 in Bing and 7 in Yahoo - and Bing dropped this week while Yahoo increased. Some terms rank on the first page for Google but not even the top 50 for Yahoo and Bing, and vice versa. And then we have the whole issue of accuracy. This morning, one of our mid-level keywords reported as position 4 in Google with an increase of 9, but I immediately checked and saw that it was 14 (not logged in, non-personalized, location-neutral, etc). This happens every week. A Moz team member looked our account and said our keywords are just highly volatile. I don't know what else to say other than you're not alone. It's frustrating.

Adding logo to graphics/memes/etc?
If you're adding a logo for the sake of preventing image theft, it might not be such a great idea. Watermarking your images won't necessarily prevent people from stealing them. Adding a logo to your images serves more to increase the exposure of your brand, when people view your images or share them across the web. Companies creating infographics would be a good example of that. Here's an article that would be relevant to this topic: http://blog.photoshelter.com/2010/09/watermarks-protecting-your-images-or-damaging-your/ Hope that helps!

Blog Posts: 1 link per 125 words?
If it is natural, and all about UX, then there is nothing to worry about, in my opinion. Sounds like you are doing a great job!

Are duplicate photos a problem?
I would be amazed if it were. On my website (and many others) authors will often have a picture of themselves on articles they write, and these go on many, many pages. One image is such a small part of the content of the page, in and of itself it would not cause a duplicate content issue.
