I spend about 1/3 of my time improving the content on a long-established site.   Articles are made current, more substantive, new data, updated graphs , additional Images. I often see an almost immediate improvement in rankings. These are not just tweaks to a few sentences.  They are major rewrites.  An article of 1000 words and three images might get a new introduction that hits topics in the news and two or three new subheadings and two additional images and an updated data table. Rankings can go up within a couple of weeks.

Yes, I got it from Majestic SEO. View page source then ctrl+f and type in 'daisy'. A lot of the domains with a lot of exact match anchors - hidden behind giant images. The registrant of the site probably has no idea this all happened.

No Hangout video on the 1st page of results for me - I tried "United States" as my location, and "Tampa, Florida", signed in, signed out, PWS=0, etc.  results were consistently the same. Interesting - thanks. It's a bit hard to pin down, because Google has been changing the "volume" on authorship mark-up a lot these past two months, and that means both up and down on any given day. Authorship also seems to be page-based and probably query-based, which means any given site could have and not have the mark-up depending on the page and/or query in play. It's a real-time evaluation on Google's part.

In my limited experience, 301's will redirect +1's, as Arjen said. For example, this page http://moz.com/blog/how-to-rank gained most of it's +1's before a 301 redirect, and those plus 1's are now associated with the page.

Great suggestions above. I have many legal clients in all of your practice areas so this is hitting close to home and i think you could improve in so many ways. One suggestion below. Show some indicators on your home page via an in-content internal link to the PI page you mentioned . Also you have two pages competing for the personal injury keyword. Choose one page to target the personal injury keyword. Choose one page and add your office locations to the footer. Maybe optimize your image  name http://www.kempruge.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/90201067_8.jpg but do not over optimize. You could also benefit from some additional link building to the page you want to rank.

Unfortunately this really depends on who designed the template. I would try to track that down Go to your Wordpress dashboard Click on "Appearance" Look at "Current Theme". The name of the theme should be here, and often the author, and the author's website. From there it is much easier to get support for your particular theme. Many Sliders are also plugins: Go to your dashboard Click on "Plugins" Look for a plugin that says "Slider" or something to that nature. A couple of popular sliders include "Revolution Slider" and 'Cute Slider WP". Again look for author details. They may be able to help. The question of how to fix it really depends a lot on who made the theme or plugin. Often on old themes/plugins its hard to get immediate help but you may find a forum that has the answer to your question. If its a new theme/plugin the author or company that made it is likely is somewhere waiting to provide answers.
