Where does SEOmoz pull this info from?
I have 2 pages showing as errors in my Crawl Diagnostics, but I have no idea where these pages have come from, they don't exist on my site.
I have done a site wide search for them and they don't appear to be referenced are linked to from anywhere on my site, so where is SEomoz pulling this info from?
the two links are:
The first link has a spelling mistake and the second link should have an "S" on the end of "application"
I think you example above is too broad, you should be just negative matching the number, so -$40, -35
By adding the word driving lesson you are also going to miss out on that traffic too.

Thanks Alan. That's really helpful and not something I was aware of.
We have a UK site selling our product and we are due to appoint a reseller in the USA, they require a .com domain, which makes sense and they also would like to see American spellings etc and currency. also we feature heavily in pubs and they want this referred to as "bars" so there are a few tweaks here and there but mainly just slight variations on spelling and terminology. These are only minor adjustments to our current site, what is the best way of achieving this without falling foul of duplicate content issues.
We do this all the time, we have hundreds of high converting keywords and in order to increase our quality score and more importantly visual relevance for the visitor we create many ppc landing pages, each one with the keyword as the title and content optimised for that subject matter. This has a positive affect on out conversion rates, bounce rates etc. Because this sector is so expensive (debt and loan) it is vital for us that our visitor knows straight away he has landed on a page that closely matches his search term, especially when you are looking at £15 per click. As mentioned in other replies, make sure you include the no index tag.
How are the product pages for your ecomm store generated, are they dynamic or static? Is this a custom build store or an off the shelf product? Do you have a link?
Thanks for the link, a little over my head so I will pass on to my developer to have a look at.
Thanks i understand and have already added the canonical URL to index.asp but the other URL does not exist as a page it is just the root domain so how do I add the Canonical URL to a page that doesnt actually exist
Our site www.project365.co.uk was submitted to CSS Mania and got awarded best site of the week for handrawn sites, we went from 100 hits a month to 3500 per month becuase all the other css bloggers featured our site as a result of this.
Since then we probably still get over 3500 hits a month from this and I reckon maybe 2 or 3 leads per month as a result. the fact that many of the leads are from asia and we tend not to convert them into business is beside the point. ( we have converted a few)
It took me less than 5 mins to suggest our link and cost not a single penny.
I am getting flagged for duplicate content, SEOmoz is flagging the following as duplicate:
www.adgenerator.co.uk/index.asp
These are obviously meant to be the same path so what measures do I take to let the SE's know that these are to be considered the same page. I have used the canonical meta tag on the Index.asp page.
I cant get this to work at all at the moment, just get this message:
Fetching link data, please wait. This can take up to 5 minutes
left is running for nearly 30 mins and nothing happens
HI kaashif, what are your directory sites of choice, do you have a list that fits all such as dmoz types, then a list that fits a few and a list of niche or do you just formulate a new list for each project from scratch.
Im pretty sure if you click on the duplicate error it lists the pages that are causing the issue.
Edit...yeah just checked and it does!!
The question was not which directories would you submit other sites too, it was which would you submit your site too.
In what order do you carry out your SEO? do you start with keyword research or competitor analysis or is it on-page and then on to link building, do you concentrate on article submissions and then move on to social networking?
List your step by step process here.
Everyone loves a good list.
If you could only submit your site to 10 directories which 10 would you choose and why?
when is the new pricing due to launch, i have asked this question to the SEomoz support start several months ago and was told a new pricing stucture was in the working but so far not heard any more.
I need to add more campaigns but don't want to create multiple accounts and I certainly don't want to pay the silly markup prices on the current price structure.
PLEASE GUYS GET THIS SORTED
