Duplicate content and http and https
Hard to tell without knowing the site, but it's possible there are external links to "https" versions of the pages. At this point, Google is going to increase the pressure to secure sites, and later this year Chrome will start warning users about all non-secure pages, so it may be worth making the move.

WordPress blog and XML sitemap
Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer this question, it has been extremely helpful. Unfortunately my friend (home building/architectural services) did a swap of services which has made this all the more complicated. Lesson one, never swap for services. It is on a windows server in answer to Alan's question. The short answer seems to be that the developer does need to incorporate the WP into the Main Site's architecture which should not be a big deal. In a perfect world, as suggested, is to simply cut the losses and run! Thanks again...

Youtube and twitter
Thanks guys! Just for clarity, I didn't necessarily mean the SERP's as much as I did Youtube or Twitter search. I created business profiles for each and neither was showing up in either Twitter or the Youtube search engine. The good news is that the business profile is now showing up this morning in Youtube search! YAY...I have a few clips made that I can start slowly adding to drip some good content into the profile. The Twitter profile is not showing up just yet but their are over a dozen followers in a day a half after I followed some good people. Thanks again!

Article Marketing - manual vs automated or both
The problem with all of this is that "automation" can lead to just about anything depending on the service you use. It IS possible to get an effective number of anchor text and contextual links with the right set up, especially if you generate your own link network that only you use, but then you have the problem of dupe content. The RIGHT way to do it is far too time consuming to make it worth your while unless you can find a legit link builder/article writer on odesk that will make the time/cost problem go away, but even then they usually don't speak English as a first language and you end up spending a lot of time rewriting the articles because the grammar and syntax is absurd.. Also what does "Searching for your exact topic in Google, and finding incomplete resources. Ask them for links" mean? I didn't understand what you meant by incomplete resources. Thanks

Duplicate Title question
Thanks guys! Your help is really appreciated. When I took the site over I thought, "man, 200 pages eating into the home page." In some respects this is true but your answers have provided me with a couple ways of fixing this. Fantastic, gotta love MOZ!

Google search results
They have a "learning machine algorithm" so the servers do a best guess. When searching for apples it just looks at what most users where searching for and displays that result.
