Unless you can create an account and link into their google analytics, I'm not aware that you can.
Head over to SEMRush and open a free account there - you should be able to get some stats on your competitors that way.

Anybody heard of www.sitebeam.net before, and if so, is it worth a dabble?
G.
And the book is ordered - God Bless Amazon.
Anyone else got anything to add?
Thanks Egol. As always, your comments are worth their weight in Gold.
I've just looked for a UK based course, and at the moment, he has nothing planned. There is one in Germany but I can't justify the cost or the trip at the moment - maybe in 6 months...
However, I'll take a look at the book.
Thanks again.
Any recommendations? I can work out the basics, but I could do with really learning this stuff..
I'm not fussed if the book is print or ebook, or whether it's an online course.
Cheers.

Hi Tim,
care to share the article?
Wow! You must have plenty of time on your hands.
It would be interesting to see how it ranks - if you choose to track it,,,
Sorry I can't help with a list.
Evidently it hasn't finished yet! What a hornets nest you've stirred up.
Hi Miriam,
I guess I'm simply showing my ignorance by asking the question how can I tell the difference?
I wasn't aware web design companies were treated differently.
I've just typed web design into google here in Manchester, UK, and the top 5 spots are taken up with Manchester based companies....
Maybe it's different in the states.
Hi Miriam,
you say " If you were a plumber or a doctor, the answer would be simple". How so?
Donford - Thought that was great about Space Jam - a useful tip in my arsenal of quotes...
Diane, Yes, by increasing the value of your overall site, this page will increase also, but I would suggest you split the page up, and focus on separate aspects of the work, so as to maximise the keyword potential you have here.
anybody got a similar plugin for Joomla?
Added to Davinias thoughts, it also is a quick way for competitors to find out what you are trying to rank for - it's the first thing I look for on a competitors website!
Plenty of sites link between each other - distilled and SEO moz for instance. The question is what are you hoping is the benefit? Are you likely to get any direct trade from link?
I often ask my clients if they would be prepared to introduce the reciprocating site as their business partner in a meeting? once they look down the list and see they have gambling and porn as their business partners, they soon get the point.
Is the link relevant? Do they actually validate your service/product in the real world? Would they link to you regardless if the link wasn't reciprocal? If you had to make a real effort to gain that link, would you have bothered?
Well, it's certainly been an emotive subject for many!
Is this a new problem or has it only just arisen? Was it tracking correctly over the past couple of weeks.
If this is a new campaign then in could be that you are tracking your subdomain and not the root domain in your campaign... worth a check. If it is wrong, you'll need to tear it down and start again.
