RE: On Page Grader - URL not accessible
Hey!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Unfortunately this has happened to a few users today and it appears that we are currently having issues validating URLs (with both our Crawl Test & On Page Grader tool). Our engineers will be investigating into this and hopefully we will see a solution shortly.
Check out our health page for the latest updates on this issue: https://health.moz.com/
Sorry for the inconvenience!

RE: My google business listing is not being detected by moz.
Hey! Thanks for reaching out to us!
At this point, Moz Local only supports US, UK, and Canadian business locations. (For the benefit of everyone else viewing this post, Andrew was trying to detect a listing for a business in the Falkland Islands - Correct me if I'm wrong
)Every new market presents challenges that we have to work through. The other barrier to entering new markets is being confident that we can work with the right partners to deliver value.
If and when we expand our presence, we will make announcements on our blog here:

Feel free to follow our blog for any updates! Hope this helps!

RE: Sitemaps and Indexed Pages
Hey David!
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately I am not an SEO consultant / Web Developer so I cannot offer specific advice, but I'm sure there are loads of members here who would love to help and have a lot more knowledge than I do! A few things I have picked up which may help are the following:
Try to determine when the drop started, did it drop when you submitted the XML sitemap or when the developer changed certain things? This could help point to the reason for the drop in indexing. There are a variety of reasons as to why Google may not choose to index pages, however some of the common ones are:
-
Check your robots.txt to ensure those pages are still crawlable
-
Check for duplicate content / was there any canonical changes?
-
One of the tools you could use to help keep track of ranking fluctuations is mozcast (http://mozcast.com/). Was there turbulence in the Google algorithm when the indexed pages dropped significantly?
If you want us to have a look at your specific campaign to investigate further could you please pop an email over to help@moz.com.
Thanks!

RE: Incorrect URL showing for my tracked keyword
Hey Lida!
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Our tool functions in such a way that it will find the highest ranking URL on your site for that specific Keyword. I understand your frustration, and it appears to be quite a common problem. However, as Randy points out in this excellent Whiteboard Friday Video - there are ways that you can try to deal with it!
To sum up the video: Is there an alternative relevant page on your website which you would prefer coming up for this keyword? Perhaps this page is experiencing indexing or crawling or content or link issues. (Rand talks about these in great detail). Rand then goes on to explain how you can bolster that page's potential ranking signals, or even to down-grade the non relevant page. If all else fails, Rand presents a final potential solution... Check it out!
To find the other pages that your site in ranking for you have the option in Moz Pro to choose 'Keyword Performance' from the drop-down (See image) and you will be able to see the other URL's that are ranking for that specific Keyword. This could help with the technical SEO side of things as mentioned above.
Maybe some of the SEO pros in our community can advise further!
If you do have any questions about our tools that I can help with, just send them my way — I'm more than happy to help!
Have a great day!
Eli
