Hi Aviva, I would use a company like http://www.writeraccess.com/ they are very inexpensive and you can get somebody to write your entire website with perfect grammar and spelling emphasizing the words you chose to emphasize and they will make sure in is 100% new fresh content. I would go about it this way than writing it myself I personally do not consider myself a good writer and employee company as well as writers access to do my blogging and website text creation. Google will never show its cards And I've never gotten really accurate data from ComScore, etc. so there's only so much you can uncover, eh?

I use feedburner because it manages email subscriptions, does RSS and has widgets that others can use to put my feed on their site.

It should be the same, I believe this was to avoid giving you a link, but i have noticed lately that many links like this are being picked up in WMT. If you find it in WMT you can say its the same value.

Thanks, CafePress.  That certainly makes sense.   But are you saying that if I contact a bunch of site owners in my niche and offer them link exchanges (and they accept), that's really no different than linking between real business partners?  What about a partners page which links to all their partners via a logo (not much anchor text or any text, for that matter)? Is that as bad as putting a bunch of reciprocal links to niche sites on your page with no supporting text? Everything I've read about Google recently makes me think they're smarter than that, but I'm looking for a backed-up reason.

For years I would put "Expert with Excel" on my Resume because I thought I knew it all.  Now I know that I only understood the surface of a gigantic beast of a program!

Thanks for the interest, Keri. It was a few weeks ago, so it's hard to remember now. I think GWT did mention that anchor text - but I'm not 100% certain. Either way, I asked the webmaster to add alt text to the arrows for each menu item, so we'll see what happens. Aviva

The answer is yes and yes, Yes it is helpful for rankings, And Yes it will get you in trouble. I did this i had "product city " as the title, it worked for a long time, but google have steped up their review of thes listings and my account was supsened. It ttok aboy 6 weeks to get back online. this was not just for te offending places but all my listings for all my clients. so i advice dont do it.

Well i would of doubted it, but after reading your post you have convinced me, but i suggest that it would not work as well as same lingo, there would be times it would not be able to work it out. also i remeber Matt Cutts saying how many lingos they can translate, I was suprised it was not that many.

I don't have experience redirecting entire sites to other sites, but when it comes to 301 redirects you want to avoid redirect chains (abc.com redirects to def.com redirects to ghi.com, etc.). This is a pattern too common among malicious sites, so search engines will tend to see it as a negative signal. Avoid this while still passing as much link juice as possible by editing the redirect on abc.com to send traffic directly to ghi.com.

Recently google has really downplayed the importance of exact match domain names. If the domain name is newly registered it probably hasn't earned any links yet, and therefore wouldn't pass any SEO value.

I agree with Ryan. In my openion, two important things you have to do for any TLD to work well for you is to ensure that you have relevant information and do not divert your content focus, the second is that tell Google your destination target in your webmaster tool area. I have few good ranked info sites and find that regardless of your domain level, you do it right, you'll rise as a winner!!

Aviva - good luck, and yes, I'd love it if you could update this thread if you get a response. Maybe title your forum thread something like: Whole Parts Of Israel Excluded From Places? That might get a rep's attention.

Does the Wordpress plugin you mentioned actually add open graph tags?  Because if not, here's one that I found that does - and works quite well: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-ogp/ Worth reading the plugin page on the author's website to make sure you have the installation set up right.
