I would suggest a Search on Google for "SEO companies near Zurich" the ones who come top of the ranking I would look into. Sorry if this sounds a little obvious, but like Tattoos "Cheap SEO isn't good and Good SEO isn't cheap!"

RE: Category pages ecommerce - SEO best practises
Diego,
There's nothing wrong with the structure that you have and the site is very clean easy to use and great imagery.
Each footwear has it's own page which is perfect and the number of links have been kept to a minimum.
The biggest issue you have is page load speed. Get that down and you'll be onto a winner.

RE: Google Places Landing Page: Homepage or City-Specific?
If you have a city specific page with all of the products and services available in the city I would put the City URL in place, however if the locations page doesn't have much relevant information on what's available at that location then Homepage may be preferable.
On any SEO, you have to see your site from the users point of view, because that's exactly how Google views you!

RE: How to overcome blog page 1, 2, 3, etc having no or duplicate meta info?
I would possibly think about taking the first 2-3 titles with a meta description like this:
Blog with postings such as title 1, title 2 and title 3
Same as Martijn says it's unlikely that it would receive much ranking as blogs are generally there for cross/back linking in SEO terms. And providing information to the end user.
Make sure each blog entry can be drilled to it's own page this would help increase ranking, but could potentially be open to duplication of page titles, dependent on how many users blog.

RE: Spammy page titles
Hi Joanne,
I don't think it's just the spammy titles, I also think it's the length of the titles, best below 55 char.
I would suggest something simpler and but the title's you suggested as Meta Description instead.
"Coconut Oil - <you company="" name="">" would be sufficient as a title.</you>
If the domain is an Australian domain then you don't need Australia in the title, also you may want to restrict your audience to Australia perhaps, dependent on your market.
Good Luck

RE: Should You Link Back from Client's Website?
Under No Circumstances do I see this to be something you should do. I often advise clients to get any link which isn't giving value to the user off the site ASAP.
Often that includes "Site created by ..." Lowest of the low I'm afraid.
So that's a No from me!

Massive increase in Moz crawl.
I have a subdomain which has just started to be crawled by Moz, Previously this wasn't the case.
The sub-domain had 16,000+ issues. Why has Moz started to count sub-domains as part of the main domain, has Google started to do this aswell?

RE: I am new to MOZ, I set up one tracking campaign two weeks ago, I have tracked no keywords, I have done some keyword research for ranking difficulty and in two weeks I have already hit 50K pages crawled, I'm maxed out, is this common?
Just to add to that I keep recommending this product but it is good, Screaming Frog.
It allows you to spider your site for issues FOC download.

How many pages do you have on the site, also how many URL's are duplicate content i.e.
- eriks.co.uk
- eriks.co.uk/
- eriks.co.uk/index..aspx
All go to the same page, however the URL should be just www.eriks.co.uk in my case. It may be that your linking to the same pages in diffferent ways, you may need to check that

RE: UTMZ not provided keywords
Some browsers have taken to searching using SSL to protect the user as default and this is stopping keywords being tracked back to Google Analytics. All you can do is best guess by looking at where the Not Provided results are landing.
It Sucks but that's life I'm afraid.

RE: Merging 3 websites into 1
On IIS you have the ability to redirect the whole domain with a HTTP ReDirect 301 which also takes care of URIs with something like :-
Redirect requests to this destination : http://www.eriks.co.uk/$S$Q
This then takes anything that follows and re-maps to the same URI on the new page. (assuming and providing the URI's are going to be the same!)
The other option would be 301 redirects to avoid the SEO hit being as harsh.
I have combined a number of sites in the last 12 months in this way.
Good luck!

RE: Local SEO?
William,
Welcome to the world of SEO, it's a journey which switches paths and takes you down dark alleys!
What are you trying to accomplish? The main rules of SEO
Domain, Structure of Site & URLs, W3C, Unique Content, Relevant Content, Easy to Read Content, Direct Content, New Content and More Content.
Lack of Errors, Monitoring, Analysis, Blood, Sweat and Tears.
Still up for it? Good luck, let me know if I can help.

RE: Removing an old Google places listing for a newer version?
You'd have to reclaim the domain login for Places.
Which would just mean setting up a new piece of code on the site. Then replace as per normal.
I don't know of any other way. I seem to recall an option for users to say this place has been closed but maybe that was in another dream ... sorry!

RE: Does anyone recommend paying yelp $3600/Year for paid advertising?
I'm with Dana on this No!
Look at how often you go onto Yelp yourself?
Then look at how many times you go onto Google, What I suggest is look where your clients are coming from using Google Analytics, If it's mainly Search Engine, which one? then possibly look into going Google Adwords or similar. If you do go down the PPC route you may also want to consider re-advertising.
Good Luck!

RE: How to optimize home page for several keywords
Don't try too hard, write a good description of what your site is all about, add a Meta Description and Page Title to suit.
Google likes plain language and in depth detail. Look after the main Keyword on the front page and then as Matt says have filter pages direct from the front page. Either inline text links or from the main menu structure.
Golden Rule :- if your doing it just for Google Don't, follow W3C and make sure your structure is sound and then look again at Page Ranking.

RE: What are some good reputation management tools?
Google Analytics is much more powerful that most people realise.
I suggest a course, I've just taken one with iVantage in London, Great recommended company for my UK Mozzers. Clients came on the course from all over Europe!
You can track a host of things and now with Universal Analytics it's getting even more powerful.

RE: How do I prevent 404's from hurting my site?
I'd create a custom 404 page which runs a similar search, whilst you say you can't avoid the 404 what you can do is make a 404 which is useful to both the user and Google
Also make sure that your site no longer lings to old content.Run Screaming Frog to check those response codes

RE: Which is better /section/ or section/index.php?
I constantly look for ways in which to make a difference on the sites I have.
As a rule of thumb, so long as your old inbound links still resolve to the correct place with 301 redirects and there are no old links physically linking to the 301s on your site then you'll be onto a winner.

RE: Moving Some Content From Page A to Page B
Just add the following to the top of your video page, as Gianluca suggested. However I would make it NOINDEX, FOLLOW.
-
RE: Which is better /section/ or section/index.php?
Tim,
Google works on relevance as you probably know, index.asp has no relevance to the page content what so ever and therefore section/ would be more preferable to Google and a larger majority of your URL will be made up with your keywords.
