Adwords Express Vs Adwords for small business
Hi there
I specialise in helping Local businesses with their online visibility through SEO. More recently I have been thinking about delving into Google AdWords so i can offer an additional service to my small business owner but was wondering what the best approach would be.
Should I use Google AdWords express or just Google AdWords? Should I set up individual accounts for each of my clients so they are somehow "portable" or should they all sit under the same master account? As you can see my knowledge is somehow limited and any help would be welcome. If you can point me in some easy to follow tutorial directly aimed at PPC for small businesses that would be awesome.
Many thanks

RE: GMB issues for international train company
Thanks for taking the time myriam.
I have responded to the questions below
-
-
Is the name of your business different than the name of a given train station. Yes
-
Do you have your own phone number at each train station, or are calls to you being routed through an answering service/desk belonging to each train station? Calls are rerouted via a call centre
-
Would you consider your business a "department" of a train station? Yes

RE: GMB issues for international train company
Hi Miriam
We run train services between several countries. We sell/exchange tickets at the stations from our our ticket desk facilities which also include VIP lounges, departure lounges etc.. So it's all brick and mortar stuff. It's pretty much the same as an airlines within an airport.

Business name change - Impact on reviews?
Hi
I have a client who has created multiple GMB listings for his business using the same address, post code and phone number and I am trying to sort it all out.
2 of the listings have 1 review and 1 of them has 13 reviews.
Obviously i want to keep the listing that has 13 reviews and delete the other 2. Keeping the listing with 13 reviews means I will have to update the business name in Google my business because it was originally entered wrongly.
Will the profile need to be verified again? Will my client be able to keep those reviews or will they be deleted?
Thanks

GMB issues for international train company
Hi There
I work for an international train company which operates in multiple locations across several European countries.
I have been asked to claim our Google my business profiles for each location so we can manage reviews, images etc..The problem i have is that our physical location (ticket desk, check in area etc..) in each country is in a train station (obviously). We share the same address and postcode with the train stations ( i have personally phone them to make sure that was the case)
My question is, can i claim our business in GMB using the same details as the train stations?
If i can, it is literally impossible for me to verify each profile through the use of coupon as I can't travel to each destination. I heard i could do bulk verification if we own more that 10 properties but I am not quite sure how to do all of itAny help on both these questions would be greatly appreciated

Children's club Google My Business conundrum
Hi there
I have been contacted by a small business to help them with their <acronym title="Search Engine Optimization">SEO</acronym> effort.
The business is a children's club offering drama classes, music classes etc...Looking at their online visibility shows they don't even have a Google my business profile which is where i was going to start however, they operate from a local school after hours. The local school already has a GMB profile, obviously with the same address and postcode.
Is it possible to set up a GMB for the children's club anyway?
Many thanks

English and French under the same domain
A friend of mine runs a B&B and asked me to check his freshly built website to see if it was <acronym title="Search Engine Optimization">SEO</acronym> compliant.
The B&B is based in France and he's targeting a UK and French audience. To do so, he built content in english and french under the same domain:
https://www.la-besace.fr/When I run a crawl through screamingfrog only the French content based URLs seem to come up and I am not sure why. Can anyone enlighten me please?
To maximise his business local visibility my recommendation would be to build two different websites (1 FR and 1 .co.uk) , build content in the respective language version sites and do all the link building work in respective country sites.
Do you think this is the best approach or should he stick with his current solution?
Many thanks

Health retreat conundrum
Hi there
I have been contacted by a health consultant based in London who has recently acquired a health retreat in France. Since she can't commute between the two countries she wants to focus most of her time on promoting the health retreat in France. Her current GMB profile is based on her consultancy practice in London which uses her UK NAP but also points to the retreat's website. She is using the retreat's site to promote her services in the UK as well as the retreat in France.
Since she wants to spend most of her time promoting the retreat I feel she should create a GMB specifically for the retreat and have complete different NAPs for both business entities. (could she keep the website for both businesses if she wants too?)
Would having a NAP for the retreat located in France make a difference in local search if they are conducted in the google.co.uk? I have done a few geo-located searches for health retreats in specific cities in France and couldn't see any GMB profile come up or snack packs.
Any advice would be very useful.
Many thanks

Business NAP utter confusion in moz local citation tracker
Hi everybody
I have been asked to help a small dog walking business with their citations. Their GMB profile seems all in order but when i do a quick listing verification using the moz local citation tracker not only the postcode listed under their name is different but it shows inconsistency in the business name too in many directories and shows up a different business all together. This other business is using a different post code.
This is a really weird one and I can't quite understand what is hapenning.
The business name is Pawesome! Dog Walking Service and the postcode is SW17 7QL
I would be very grateful if anyone could help
Many thanks

Beauty salon and chiropractor sharing the same address
Hi There.
I have my very first client who wants me to help with her GMB profile and online visibility in general.
She rents a space at a chiropractic clinic (she is a one man band so doesn't need much room).
The owner of the chiropractic clinic has a GMB profile and the beauty therapist has hers too but obviously, they both share the same address. Is this going to be an issue since they both run different businesses under different names and both have different phone numbers? They would only have the same address.
I don't want to screw this up so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks -
RE: Is it ok to use a mobile phone number for business listings?

Is it ok to use a mobile phone number for business listings?
Hi all
I know the use of 0800 numbers and toll-free numbers are a big No when it comes to NAP but what about mobile phone numbers?
Will google penalise the use of a mobile over the use of a land line? Thanks

What is the radius for local search results
Does anyone know if there is a specific radius google uses to display local search results or is it simply based on the number of competitors or industry vertical.
Let's say I am based in covent garden London and I am looking for an indian restaurant. I assume that all results will be very localized as there are plenty of Indian restaurants in convent garden. But If i was looking for, let's say "wooden pipe shop" (i believe there is none in convent garden) what would google display? how far away from my desired location will google be able to extend it's results to? -
RE: 4 locations - 1 phone number - what to do?
Hi Miriam.
Yes I have now. Thank you so much

RE: 4 shared locations - 1 phone number - legacy GMB - HELP!!!
Thanks for your answer Miriam, good job you're around.
i am not sure i was clear enough around the phone number issue. Basically he has his own phone number which he uses to take appointments for all his locations. He works 1 day a week in each location and the phone number is used to manage all the appointments. i believe this must be fairly standard for any independant worker based in several locations . Surely google can't expect anyone running a business of similar nature to have 4 phones Or 4 phone numbers?
