Adwords Express Vs Adwords for small business
That's a great response from Ramon. My thoughts... I wouldn't touch Adwords at alluntil you thoroughly understand the various match types, for both positive and negative keywords (they do differ in their impact somewhat). And also how Quality Scores impacts Ad Rank. Ad words can be a real killer if left too broad. I highly recommend this tutorial. It will teach you everything you need to know about Adwords. P.S) I think it's a great idea to offer as an additional service to your SEO work. They can work hand in hand nicely.

Business name change - Impact on reviews?
You shouldn't have to delete any of them. If you contact Google My Business support they can merge them and should be able to transfer reviews as well.

English and French under the same domain
First the domain reside on a Country code top-level domains (.fr) ... which means it very hard for google or even impossible for google to target ur english content for UK (https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/62399) when you fix the first note, then you need to implement hreflangs (https://moz.com/learn/seo/hreflang-tag) this will help google index and find the alternate version of your webpage in the language you announce in the markup. going with 2 domain name like you mentioned is definitely a solution but i recommend going with one domain with a generic tld like a .com or .net and having the root that targets the french/france market and a subfolder that target the english people in UK.

Health retreat conundrum
Hi Neil, Agree, this is a little complex. Is there a staffed, physical presence at the health retreat during stated office hours, and do customers come to that location? If so, then, yes, you can create a Google My Business listing for it if you feel it meets all of Google Guidelines: https://support.google.com/business/answer/3038177?hl=en Be sure you're carefully reading the guidelines regarding ineligible business models.

Beauty salon and chiropractor sharing the same address
Hi Neil, Congratulations on the first client! That is so great!! In my experience, this is not really an issue. Some businesses share addresses... just a real world fact of the matter. Your client's search success will depend on dozens of other things before this. Best of luck! Mike

What is the radius for local search results
For a local shop that has their Google My Business set to indicate they serve customers at their location (as opposed to a delivery radius or areas served), Google will base the businesses shown in a search on either the Location the user specifies or will base them on what they know about the given businesses of the area in relation to the query plus any geolocation information of the user in question. So there isn't exactly a radius bubble that you would need to fall into for those specific kinds of situations. Now, for an industry like landscaping, cleaning companies, food delivery, emergency auto repair, tow trucks, etc. They can set a radius they serve within or they can set specific areas. So a locksmith might set a handful of postal codes as the regions they will drive to in order to fix your locks. While a Pizza Delivery Service might choose to set a radius of 25km for their service area because they might not be able to reliably deliver outside that. All of these things can be set up in their Google My Business account. I know from personal experience that Google will show me things easily 100 miles away from my location if there is nothing in between that fits my search. https://support.google.com/business/answer/7091?hl=en

4 shared locations - 1 phone number - legacy GMB - HELP!!!
Hi Neil, Unfortunately, if your client chooses to create 4 different listings with 1 phone number, he will be at risk for merging and possible ranking failures. If this were my client, I would not recommend that he do this. Honestly, if the client is only working 1 day a week at a facility, eligibility for inclusion in GMB sounds a bit iffy. I recommend that you contact Google directly to get their say-so on this, but a business that is only open 1 day a week could draw some scrutiny from Google.

What is the best SEO tool for tracking local rankings
If you want to track your rankings rather than doing competitor analysis, according to me SEMRush is the best. Cause you can track keyword ranking on local based (city level), national based and global based as well. It's really essential after the pigeon update.

Does SEO moz local really work?
Hi Neil Our Moz Local tool is largely a search tool so it will depend on Facebook and any other service to return the data we are querying for your business name. Here are the reasons we outline in our FAQ for not being able to find them on Facebook or Google: https://moz.com/help/guides/local/listing#frequently-asked-questions Facebook Must be a Facebook local business page. An easy way to see if your page is a place/local business is to see if it has the following: About, Address, Hours, Contact and Reviews. Make sure that your business’s name, address and phone number are listed exactly as you would like them to appear in your Moz Local listing Ensure that the page is publicly accessible (Check with incognito browser to see if the page is available prior to logging into Facebook. Also, possibly give a screenshot of a functionally configured Facebook page’s privacy settings.) Make sure to have at least 2 check-ins to verify the physical location of your business. Not sure what to do here? Head to Facebook's resources to see how to let people check in and how you can check in. Google+ Must be a Google+ local business page. Look for the ‘Review Summary’ section on the page. Some other things to look for: Verified check mark next to the page image, Address, Hours and Reviews. Here's an example of what the page looks like. Make sure that your business’s name, address and phone number are listed exactly as you would like them to appear in your Moz Local listing. Note that service-area businesses (SAB) without their full address listed will run into complications with Moz Local since not all of our partners support SAB's. Must be a listed as a “verified local business". Remember that check mark we mentioned earlier? That's what you need! Hope this helps

Is there a purpose to the "google my business" description?
Hey Neil, Smart topic, and yes, you are right that Google has stopped showing the description in pretty much any relevant place. It's still showing on Google+ Local pages, but as almost no links exist to Google+ Local pages anymore, few people are likely to ever seen the description. Nevertheless, the description is information you are giving to Google about your business, even if they don't display it. So, in my opinion, it's still worth it to write a good, non-spammy description. On a side note, I find it particularly weird that a couple of GMB dashboard updates ago, Google went to the trouble of allowing rich text in the description. That seemed like a great feature. But, it's become of rather minimal value now, with the description being all but absent from what the typical user will see.

What is personalisation when it comes to local search?
Hi Neil, Yes, it a way, it can make explaining rank to clients harder because there are no set-in-stone rankings anymore, but in another sense, it frees us all from over-focusing on specific rank and focusing more on the most important metric - conversions.
