Hi Meaghan, happy to help! I was actually referring to Hutch 42's advice above, in this thread. (The anchor link to his response to your question is http://moz.com/community/q/copying-pasting-the-moz-glossary-onto-my-site-is-this-white-hat-or-black-hat#reply_270109.)

RE: Www for main site and non www for integrated blog - is this a problem?
Hi Chammy, to get the full value of the blog (and save yourself from headaches later on), you should integrate it into the main site in a subfolder. This will consolidate all of your content into a single site. It is easier and faster to build up the authority of one site than two, which is what you will have to do if you leave the blog on the root and the main site on the "www" subdomain. That's my short answer. Hope it helps, and let me know if you have questions!

RE: Webinar: Get to Know the New Site Crawl Recording
Hi there, thanks for your question! Did you register for the webinar? The webinar was recorded and emailed to everyone who registered for it, even if they weren't able to attend after all.

RE: OnPage Reports - Duplicate titles and meta descriptions
Hi Carla, you can use the Crawl Test Tool Jesse mentioned to find duplicate titles and meta descriptions or any site. However, I believe what you are actually looking for is the Crawl Diagnostics Report, available for any campaign you have set up in your Moz Analytics account. To find it, go to http://analytics.moz.com/manage-campaigns and select the campaign of your choice. This will take you to the Dashboard Overview of that campaign. In the lefthand navigation, select "Search". In the subnav that appears, select "Crawl Diagnostics". From there, you can filter data and download reports. You can also schedule Custom Reports to be automatically emailed to you. Let me know if you needs more clarification on this, thanks!

RE: Kickass Tool for Content Writers
+1 for Hemingway App! I also like Scribe for similar reasons, but Scribe isn't free (or nearly free).
I didn't know about the desktop version, EGOL, and will definitely check that out. Thanks for sharing!

RE: Noindex xml RSS feed
Hi there! It sounds like there is something wrong with the plugin (either the installation or configuration). I know there was an issue about a year ago where the Yoast plugin was creating some weird links in sitemaps, but have not heard of anything like that recently. Do you have the most recent version of both the plugin and WordPress installed? Also, are you able to share the URLs of your problematic site map and a few of the broken links reported in GWT?
Thanks

RE: The New Moz
Oh, believe me, this isn't hype, Jesse. Not according to the classic definition of the word, anyways. So, I'm curious about a couple of things:
(1) What do you think #thenewmoz is?
(2) In your ideal world, what is #thenewmoz?

RE: Rank Tracker not Working.
Hi, I am so sorry about this! Unfortunately, we are still experiencing intermittent issues with our tools as a result of DDoS attacks over the weekend. Moz engineers are working hard to resolve this. For status updates on all Moz products, please visit Moz Health. Thanks so much for your patience. We appreciate it!!

RE: Google authorship page versus posrt
Hi Stefania!
Yes, you have correctly installed the code snippet for Google Authorship across your site using a footer widget, and linked to your blog from your personal Google+ profile. You can keep this setup as long as this remains a one-author blog. Google Webmaster Tools has a structured data testing tool that is very useful for determining if Authorship is working for any page. It shows that Authorship is working for your first blog post, and gives you a nice preview of what the search result will look like if Google decides to show your author photo with it - see http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fjijil.pasadena2shop.com%2F.
Remember that correctly setting up Google Authorship does not guarantee that your author photo will show in search results. Focusing on creating high-quality content on both your blog and Google+, and becoming an authority on the topics you write about, however, will increase your chances of standing out in search results with Google Authorship.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and best of luck with your new blog!

RE: Going to MozCon? Have lunch with your pals from the Q&A forum Wednesday!
That's awesome, Linda! I'm just a little biased, I know... but MozCon really is my Most Favorite Marketing Conference Ever. I'm so glad you can make it this year, and I know you'll have a blast!!
See you soon

RE: Rank Tracker not Working.
That is a great suggestion, EGOL. I will definitely pass it on.
And this. "These guys must be pissants if they are only asking for a few hundred bucks. Would be funny to see Mr Skinner point at the camera and say... "We didn't pay-off a $200 pissant and we will not pay you." Ha! No kidding, right??

RE: Heres a puzzle for you... Htags on left hand nav for ecomm category pages
Hi Kay,
I saw the screenshot and yes, I would recommend making space in your page design so that you can have a unique H1 (main heading/the most important headline) properly created for each of your pages. The H1 not only helps the search engines figure out what a page is about, but how a page is structured as well. The same goes for screen readers. This is why it is still best practice to make the H1 the main headline of the page, vs. a navigational element (with one unique H1 per page).
While the importance of using a keyword-rich H1 has declined over the years as a page ranking factor, it still carries some weight. That said, when writing H1s (and title tags), it's always wise to consider what will be most helpful for the user. (And that is often if not always the same thing that is helpful for the search engines!)
I agree with Andy that on an ecommerce site, if the heading for the page is a product name/type (or contains the product name/type), then this usually makes a good H1. I also agree that you should place it in the main body of the of the page, not the navigation. (Usually the
tag is placed right after the opening tag.) I partly disagree with him that this shouldn't be a copy of a the title tag. I've found that using the same copy for the title and H1 tags (for the same corresponding page) is good for the user experience, and can reduce pogo sticking. So when the user clicks on a title in the SERPs through to a page with the same heading, it is obvious they found the right page. They clicked on the search result they thought looked good, and this page is obviously about the same thing... this is the page they want. Does that make sense?
If using the product name/type for the H1, though, will not give you a compelling title tag (or a super short one), I would recommend sticking with the product name/type for the H1, and incorporating the same copy into the title tag (i.e., adding on to it, which could be as simple as adding your brand name).
I hope this helps!

RE: Rel Author
The Rel Author tag is used to link content created by an individual (on a blog, for instance) to the author's personal G+ profile. Andy is correct, the author needs to specify in their G+ profile that they area contributor to the site (thereby linking back to the site where their content is) to complete the author verification process.
You should not use Rel Author in conjunction with Google Places.
Hope this helps!

RE: Google Sitelinks Search Box
Hi Yair! You definitely need to install the code if you want the search box to appear with Sitelinks, as well as follow all other recommendations listed in the documentation you linked to. As the documentation itself implies, however, there are no guarantees that the search box will appear.
Search Box Note Appearing? The sitelinks search box appears only for navigational queries and when relevant for users. Google algorithms use a variety of factors to determine when the box appears, including the information on the site and different types of navigational queries from Search users.
Let us know how this turns out for you once everything's set up, okay? Until then, best of luck!

Umar, I was unable to actually make it to MozCon until the third year I tried to go. (The second year I had to cancel just three weeks before the conference due to pressing business needs!) We look forward to seeing you next year, Umar!

RE: I want to uninstall the Moz SEO toolbar. How do I do this?
Hi Bonnie, Linda and Justin are absolutely right. You can follow their instructions to uninstall the toolbar permanently.
If, however, you'd like to be able to temporarily disable it, you can toggle it on and off using a keyboard shortcut: Cmd + Option + Control + M on OSX, Shift + Ctrl + Alt + M on Windows. You can also toggle it on and off by clicking on it's bookmark icon.
For a good overview of what you can do with the Moz Toolbar, as well as how to configure it to meet your needs, check out the video at http://moz.com/help/guides/research-tools/mozbar. Best of luck!
