I'm so sorry! I didn't see your reply previously. I was just coming back to the thread to say that we have found a temporary workaround that should fix the issue while we work on a more permanent solution. I hope that is still helpful to you and, again, I apologize for not following up with you sooner.

RE: "Private Message this User" has a glitch
Hey Gregory,
Thanks for writing in. It would actually be really helpful if you could send this over to help@moz.com with screenshot examples of what you are seeing so we can investigate further and send it over to the correct engineers.
I look forward to hearing from you there soon.

RE: Need help with Opensite explorer
Hi Kyle,
Thanks for writing in and sorry for the confusion. Our system is only able to export 25 links from each linking root domain so, if one root domain (including your own) has a large number of links, you wouldn't be able to export all of the links from that domain. Because of the discrepancy between the number of links we are exporting and the total number of links you are seeing in Open Site Explorer, it sounds like there are several site that have a very large number of links to your site.
If you still have questions, it would be helpful if you could send the site information you are looking at to help@seomoz.org so we can look into it more deeply for you.

We look forward hearing from you soon.

RE: 4 days waiting for a Moz Crawl - How quick are yours?
I am so sorry that your crawl tests haven't completed yet! We are currently experiencing a major backlog with our crawl tests. Our engineers are aware of the issue and working to get these reports completed as quickly as possible, but I'm afraid we don't have a timeline for when we will get through the backlog.
The issue is now reported on health.moz.com if you would like to follow there for further updates.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes and I thank you for bearing with us while we work to get this resolved!

RE: Greek keyword
Hi Everyone,
We actually have a known issue with some non-Latin character sets that aren't displaying properly in On Page reports, CSV files, and the Web App IU. We have had complaints about Greek, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Arabic, and some others character sets. It only affects specific characters, so we still support those languages sets in our tools. As of right now, we aren't sure when this will be fixed, but our engineers are working on the issue.
For now, you can download the export the data to a CSV, you should be able to open UTF-8 CSV files in Excel using the Text Import Wizard, which allows you to specify the encoding of the file you're opening. (Note: this may only work on PC versions of Excel)
a. To start the Text Import Wizard, on the Data tab, in the Get External Data group, click From Text. Then, in the Import Text File dialog box, double-click the text file that you want to import.
b. Under ‘Original data type’, select Delimited
c. In the ‘File origin’ drop-down, select UTF-8
d. Click [Next >]
e. Under Delimiters, select ‘Comma’
f. Click [Next >], then [Finish] and [OK] to save it under the existing worksheet
You can read more about the issue in our Known Issues forum here:

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

RE: Pdf page titles and descriptions errors
Hi Perri,
Thanks for writing in and sorry your crawl diagnostics are looking off.
This is actually a small bug with our crawler counting images and PDFs as actually pages. We are aware of the issue and our engineers have figured out what has caused the issue, but it may take them some to make the necessary changes to the crawler to correct the issue for the images and PDFs returning errors in the crawl diagnostics report. Thank you for your patience while we look into this.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

RE: 4 days waiting for a Moz Crawl - How quick are yours?
Hey there!
The backlog of reports is clearing out now. It looks all of your reports that were submitted prior to today have been completed now and the newest report should complete within the normal 24 hour time period.
Please do let me know if I can help you with anything else.

RE: Competitors in campaign settings
Hey Janet,
You should see the keyword rankings under the Search>Keyword Rankings tab. Because all of the competitors were added after the initial data collection for this campaign, we will not have rankings data for them until the next weekly update, but you should see data for your competitors under Link>Competitive Metrics, since that updates withour link index, which updated yesterday.

RE: Rank Tracking results
Hi There,
Thanks for writing in.
You may be seeing this discrepancy because we only provide the option to check Google Belgium (which defaults to Dutch) in Rank Tracker, rather than breaking Google Belgium into language specific engines, as we do in the campaign. It seems that, in the campaign, you are are tracking the campaign under Google Belgium-French, which may mean that the system is pulling rankings from different datacenters and the results can be different between the two languages.
It's also important to note that Rank Tracker is an older tool that works off of a completely different system than the campaign rankings, but we are working to align it with our campaign rankings collection and include more of the search engine options that you have with the full campaign.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

RE: SEO Campign Wont Synch up with facebook
Hey David,
It looks like our engineers found an update that Facebook has made some changes to their API that has disabled the type of authentication that we use to connect the Facebook page to your campaign. We are looking for a solution to this issue right now, but I'm afraid it may take a while for us to find a way to work with the changes that Facebook has made, so thank you for your patience in the meantime.
If you have any other questions about this issue, I would recommend that you write in to help@seomoz.org, where the Help Team will be able to answer you directly.

RE: I'm getting an error when I try to preview my custom report
I know this was also reported in a message to our help team, so I just wanted to follow up here to note that this was a bug in our system that has been resolved by our engineers. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused!

RE: MOZ Custom reports error?
Hey Arnold,
Thanks for writing in. The custom reports are only available in the current PDF format, and the intention is to show exactly what we are reporting in the application but with the ability to customize which sections are included in each report. It is meant to remove the work of pasting together a bunch of separate screenshots from the data we provide in the main campaign. If you would like to see a different format in the future, I would highly recommend submitting that format to our Feature Request forum here: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests which will help our product team in deciding if this would be a good new feature for the tool.
As for the error you are seeing in the report, I will need more information in order to look into what may be causing that issue. If you can please let me know which campaign you are seeing the issue on so I can investigate further? If you prefer not to provide that information in this public forum, you can email us directly at help@moz.com so we can resolve the issue for you.
I look forward to hearing back soon.

RE: How do you track new inbound links?
Hi Jenny,
Thanks for writing in.
There isn't a way to sort by date in OSE because the index is updated to a new, current index with each update (usually about once a month) and it isn't compared against previous indexes, so each link in the current index has been discovered again that month, even if it has been in previous indexes. Technically, the way our index is created means that all of the links in the current index are "discovered" or "rediscovered" within the past 3-4 weeks. We don't retain historical link data in the index because we think it is important to show the most current data that we can so our index doesn't necessarily show you what are considered new link, just what would be considered current links.
We do show historical link metrics regarding the number of links and linking root domains in the link analysis section of the campaign web app, but I'm afraid that they don't show specific links in the historical section.
Let me know if you have any other questions about OSE.

RE: Open site explorer varied results according to country
Hi Steve,
Thanks for writing in. You can't really specify localities in the Compare Link Metrics section of Open Site Explorer, but if you are checking your competitors using different TLDs, that would affect the metrics you are seeing for the competitors. If you can give me some exact examples of the sites you are comparing in that section, I can look directly into the issue you are seeing.
Our system isn't set to show different results based on different regions; it just shows different results based on the number of links to a domain, which would change between TLDs since example.com vs example.ca would be considered two different domains.
I look forward to hearing back soon.

RE: Why are my competitor total links in my dashboard not the same than in open site explorer
Hi There,
One important thing to note about Open Site Explorer is that the information for a site defaults to page specific metrics, while the campaign information will show you domain metrics. For example, if your competitor's site is www.example.com Open Site Explorer will show you only the links that point directly to that URL as a default while the campaign will show you the total number of link to all of the pages on the example.com root domain.
You can pull the root domain information by changing the of the filter on the Inbound Links tab (http://screencast.com/t/uxI55g8Noh) or going to the Compare Link Metrics tab (http://screencast.com/t/cXHEs0mpGK) in Open Site Explorer.
I hope this clears things up. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

RE: How do i change the timeframe to show a different date on my reports?
Hey Bob,
The old PRO application is still available for users that had accounts during the transition to Moz Analytics, so the Help page you referenced is correct for those customers. You will find the Help page for Moz Analytics custom reports here: http://moz.com/help/guides/custom-reports
We don't offer quarterly reporting in Moz Analytics because it was rarely used in the PRO application, but we do offer monthly reporting. Currently, we can only create a monthly report if we have 21 days worth of data at the beginning of the following month. I took a look at both of your campaigns and it looks like the older one was created on March 12th, so it missed the 21 day cut off by a couple of days. Unfortunately, at this time, if you miss the cut off for the monthly reporting at the beginning of the month you won't see a monthly report until the next month. I'm so sorry about that!

RE: Keyword analysis - error with difficulty %
Hi There,
Thanks for writing in. We do index French pages and the tool uses domain and page authority plus the mozrank/moztrust of the top 10 results to create a difficulty score on an algorithmic scale. When you run a report in the Keyword Difficulty tool, we provide the authority information for the top 10 pages. If you let me know the keyword you are looking at, I can take a look at the top 10 results and let you know if the percentage seems accurate.

RE: I need help setting a campain
Hi Luis,
Thanks for writing in and sorry for the confusion. Unfortunately, it looks like the reason we aren't able to crawl past the splash page is the the "Enter" link is in Javascript, which our crawler can't parse so we aren't able to crawl through that link. Google even occasionally has issues crawling through Javascript links. For this reason, it’s important to have an actual html link on your homepage and other prominent navigation areas of your website.
I'm afraid we still wouldn't be able to crawl the campaign if you try to set it up as www.sample.com/home.php because the .php suffix indicates an individual file on the site, and the campaign can't be set up for anything smaller than a subfolder. Unfortunately, the way the site is set up right now isn't compatible with our crawler but, if you change the "Enter" link to an html link, we should be able to enter the site with no problem.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
