SEOMoz is finding jpegs on my site and reporting them as pages with missing meta titles
-
SEOMoz has just done a crawl of my site, and found 600 pages with missing meta title errors. When I have checked the list of these pages, they are all jpegs and not pages. Why is SEOMoz reporting that this .jpg files have missing meta titles on my site, which is www.webmakercms.com? SEOMoz has run several crawls of my site and this is the first time it has brought up this list of jpegs as errors and I don't understand why?

I wopuld say that they are broken links. many crawlers that find a broken link, then report taht the link has no title or description. If they were able to crawl it, they would then relize it is in fact a image and not report the otehr errors

I am having a similar issue with one of my campaigns and it is not due to broken links, but a photo gallery we are using. The photos are links controlled by javascript The strange part is, it just happened now and the campaign has been running for some time. I guess the big issue is what is the proper course of action? I don't mind the images getting crawled - but don't want them showing as missing title tags and meta descriptions as it makes the crawl difficult to read as I don't believe these should be seen as errors.

Hi Everyone,
We recently started using a new crawler that had a few shortcomings we've been working to improve. This issue may be related to changes in the new crawler. If you write into us at help@seomoz.org with your campaign information and the email address associated with your account, we can look into the issue for you.
We look forward hearing from you soon.
