Hi everyone,
I am running a PPC (Google Adwords Campaign) and it is pretty big. I have about 25 landing pages each with a Contact Form. I need the contact form to go to a unique thank you page for each landing page to measure conversions via Google Adwords. In other words I need the contact form on submission to redirect to a specific and unique thank you page that I can define. The contact form needs to be the same for all landing pages to avoid having to produce 25 landing pages. I am ok with producing 25

Hi Everyone,

Our client is requesting that we use Django for her project. I am really uneasy about this for several reasons. The client wants a multi-country site that is completely SEO friendly. I love Wordpress and if I had to do this project it would be a Wordpress site with WPML + Yoast plugins site.

Questions

1. Is Django SEO friendly and what "plugins" should I be using?
2. Is there a multi-country plugin for Django that keeps or adds typical SEO features?
3. Can you recommend any great articles?
4. Any example sites would be GREATLY appreciated

Unfortunately, I do not think that I have 2 owners since when I enter  both GWT accounts I see different configurations for the same exact website. This is what I am worried about. I do know how to delegate access to other users as mentioned in the link you provided.

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on a website that the XML sitemap is set to update weekly. Our client has requested that this be changed to daily. The real issue is that the website creates short term product pages (10-20 days) and then the product page URL's go 404. So the real problem is quick indexing not daily vs weekly sitemap. I suspect that daily vs weekly sitemaps may help solve the indexing time but does not completely solve the problem.

So my question for you is how can I improve indexing time on this project? The real problem is how to get the product pages indexed and ranking before the 404 page shows u?. .

Here are some of my initial thoughts and background on the project.

• Product pages are only available for 10 to 20 days (Auction site).Once the auction on the product ends the URL goes 404.
• If the pages only exist for 10 to 20 days (404 shows up when the auction is over), this sucks for SEO for several reasons (BTW I was called onto the project as the SEO specialist after the project and site were completed). Reason 1 - It is highly unlikely that the product pages will rank (positions 1 -5) since the site has a very low Domain Authority) and by the time Google indexes the link the auction is over therefore the user sees a 404. Possible solution 1 - all products have authorship from a "trustworthy" author therefore the indexing time improves. Possible solution 2 - Incorporate G+ posts for each product to improve indexing time. There is still a ranking issue here since the site has a low DA. The product might appear but at the bottom of page 2 or 1..etc. Any other ideas?
• From what I understand, even though sitemaps are fed to Google on a weekly or daily basis this does not mean that Google indexes them right away (please confirm). Best case scenario - Google indexes the links every day (totally unrealistic in my opinion), URL shows up on page 1 or 2 of Google and slowly start to move up. By the time the product ranks in the first 5 positions the auction is over and therefore the user sees a 404.
• I do think that a sitemap updated daily is better for this project than weekly but I would like to hear the communities opinion.

Hi Moz,

I know you guys changed your interface awhile back but I have a question about the new reports. On the old interface, I used to use a report that would automatically run when I created a new account letting me know where the dup titles and meta descriptions were on an entire site. Where can I find this report on the new interface?

I am looking for an article (can't remember the name of it) that has these concepts. I believe Rand wrote one not too long ago but I cannot remember the name.

• Inbound links from Social Media Sites do not help your SEO. There is correlation but that is it.
• Traffic generated from Social Media sites may be an indicator to Google and a SEO ranking factor. It is the traffic not the link that Google is consider as a ranking factor.
• Google plus - so there have been many articles saying that Google + helps your rankings. I believe I saw one by Rand saying this is not true. There is correlation but not causation.

I am trying to explain to my students how social media really benefits SEO and make them think beyond "the link". Any other articles suggested are also appreciated

Hi Andy,

Unfortunately I do not use any 3rd party software programs. Thanks for the tip on positions 4 -10. I will look at the conversion rates before moving the ads up. What do you consider an acceptable overall quality score for an ad group?

I have more of a SEO background than a PPC one so excuse me if this question seems simple. I have inherited a Google Adwords campaign and want to accomplish the following

Fix the campaign so the ads only appear in positions 1 – 3. The campaign came with a relatively good structure.

Is there some way I can fix the settings to accomplish this? Conversion rates are high but quality scores vary from 6 -10

Thanks Vadim for your advise!. I have implemented your recommendation. BTW it is really easy to delete a G+ profile. The only bad news is that you have to re-upload your Youtube videos to the new account.

I know this seems like a really dumb question and I am pretty sure I know the answer but I am interested in hearing the communities opinion on the following issue.

I have 2 gmail accounts. One for work and a personal one

Work gmail account - It is ugly. Something like this abcdefghijklmnop@gmail.com (Don't ask...long story). Obviously I have it connected to my work email that looks like this...name@xdawson.com

I created my G+ personal profile with my work gmail  (abcdefghijklmnop@gmail.com) and I use the free version of gmail. I have also created my company G+ profile from my work gmail account.

My personal gmail account has an empty G+ profile. Don't use G+ except for work.

Lately I have been publishing a lot and I am starting to get lots of followers on G+. My suspicion is that Google really does not want people with 2 accounts. Should I be using my personal Gmail account and delete my work gmail account? I need to move my company page to my personal gmail account.

I really don't want people to see my ugly work gmail account. It is ugly

Hi Ashley,

"Infinite scroll" is using a technique with JQuery. Many people confuse the concept of "infinite scroll" with parallax scrolling. Just to be clarify. Parallax scrolling and infinite scroll are not the same thing.

Here is a great article on how to use Jquery and SEO it at the same. The article mentions parallax scrolling because "parallax scrolling" is often confused with infinite scroll

Thanks so much for getting back to me on this one. I am aware of Bing's experiments with Klout and just signed up for it today to test it out. I will be your response to my client. I can see this is a very aggressive move on Google's behalf. I wonder if eventually they will get dinged as Microsoft did on monopolistic behaviors. hehe...time will tell.
