Well... still not ranked. I'll just wait it out a few more days and see what happens, if nothing I'll reach out to Moz and see if they know more about it. Thanks again EGOL! Always a pleasure

RE: Just saying hello!
Hey CLMS!
When you say "does not rank for any of the main keywords", do you mean that the home page doesn't rank just on page one or anywhere that you can find? This is an interesting one for sure.
I am wondering if the way the main text appears way down towards the bottom of the page. I'd think you would want all that unique content to be above those elements showing that it's important and not pushed down under all those products, images and links. Just a thought at first glance...
I'm digging around to see if there is anything I can find.

RE: True or False? Having your phone number in the header of your nav bar is good for SEO?
I am going with with FALSE on one this Dylan. Final answer

Sure, having the company contact info (phone & address) up there serves well for your site visitors to reach you (which is GREAT) but does not offer any real value from an SEO standpoint.
Hope this helps!!

RE: I am UNRANKED in the Moz Community... but... but why?
Hey EGOL! Thanks for responding. Good, I was hoping it wasn't the same process used to update DA/PA ha haaa
I'd be off the map for a good while if that was the case =P Thanks again!

RE: Comments on Blogs
I would stay away from this approach! Super spammy. Like David mentioned above, leave comments to engage with the author about the article itself. There are far better ways to get valuable links these days.
Here's a great article from Neil Patel on building links. Maybe you'll find some takeaways from it.
Hope that helps

I am UNRANKED in the Moz Community... but... but why?
I've been off the grid for about a month but just came to find I am now unranked in the Moz Community. Anybody know why this happens or how long it takes to get back? I was inside the circle of trust, now I am outside. It's cold out here, please let me back in!
Any feedback or help with this is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance Mozzers

RE: Does the position of your main keyword phrase matter within the page?
I agree, Donald. And to answer your question, yes, it most certainly matters.
So, your new navigation is pushing your page content below the fold? Is that correct Catherine?

RE: Will 301 Redirects Slow Page Speed?
Hey Corp Analytics!
In short...
If you can avoid redirects you will certainly be serving your content faster.
Google recommends avoiding them where possible: https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/mobile
"Have you ever asked where a bathroom is and when you go there you are told that this bathroom is closed and you have to go to some other bathroom? It is like that. Redirects cause your pages to load slower because it is a waste of time to go to one place just to be redirected to another."
Makes sense, right?
Here another great article on the topic and the source of that quote: https://varvy.com/pagespeed/minimize-redirects.html
Hope that helps!! -

Always a nice refresher, very useful! Cheers Matt!

RE: Page Speed/Website Optimization Question
Deacyde is spot on here! Page load is a HUGE deal in several aspects of your optimization.
Get those images tweaked and clean up those redirects (I need to do the same on a few of my sites). Good luck!!

RE: In the middle of a site redesign, looking for some advice at a glance.
Hey Deacyde!
I'd be happy to take a peek and see if I can identify any opportunities that you may have overlooked. Any particular reason why you chose (or the client chose) to use Big Commerce?
Send me over the link so I can take a look!

RE: 301 issues
Hey! Yeah it appears you are caught up in the Google waiting game.
From my experience with a similar project it will correct itself here in the coming weeks I'm sure. Follow Vic's suggestions and you should be all set! Cheers and good luck!

RE: Google's Mobile Update: What We Know So Far (Updated 3/25)
Oh and my last follow up question is... when will Moz be going mobile? Hopefully on or before April 21st

RE: Google's Mobile Update: What We Know So Far (Updated 3/25)
Great point Ryan! I guess my initial thoughts on it are not the same as the average website owner that just goes along for the ride and hopes for the best. But thinking further into it, you're right. I am sure there are plenty of people out there just getting by with what they have. Makes perfect sense

RE: Google's Mobile Update: What We Know So Far (Updated 3/25)
Great post Doc! Tons of takeaways here

But I mean... at the end of the day are there really people out there just waiting around for Google to say "HEY EVERYBODY! Its time to make your website mobile friendly now!!"
And are we really doing things based on what Google wants us to do or are we gearing our sites for our USERS? Google is an important piece of the puzzle of course but I feel that staying in the good graces of our visitors far outweighs anything else.

RE: "Branded Reports" not branded email
Hey Glenn!
Very interesting. I acn't imagine that is how it is supposed to be. I am on the $99/mo plan so I am not able to see exactly the issue you are referencing and was going to recommend you read this page but... it appears that page is busted at this time. Maybe a fellow Mozzer can get that into the hands of a developer asap =).
Have you tried contacting Moz directly to ask? If not, I'd recommend you do that. Might get you a solution quicker. Good luck with it though!

RE: What is the proper way to write a title for local SEO?
#1 always. Red Spot is spot on with her response in my opinion ; )
-
RE: Really slow to load results on Open Explorer and "error fetching your data" messages
Hey Dave!
Yes, I have seen similar issues when using OSE but know that Moz is actively working to improve their tools and will have these items addressed for us all very soon.
Grobo provided that health check link below which is a perfect way to keep updated. Keep faith and don't give up on Moz, trust me you will enjoy it! Cheers

Couldn't agree more with you Ryan! This guy knows his stuff!
