It will be labor intense. I suggest starting by claiming all listings in one place under one new login. Try to claim by postcard to be more legit. Otherwise you may just have to get reconsidered by going to the google places forum. Also another strategy is try a suite # if you can't get or register the main addy.

I would say if all their prospects are in NY host it there. Otherwise host anywhere in the us and use a cdn.

With limited specific info at this point I would say no. Again Google ranks web pages not web sites. So just because the home page ranks really well in their actual HQ city doesnt mean that a page for a city a few miles down the road wolnt rank well too. And it wouldnt hurt either. It makes comon sense that a Company providing a specific service a town over could also serve this town. Just build links to the right city pages and you should be good.

I would just suggest individual pages per city per service (or product).

Have also had tons of problems with google places over they years. Did this get resolved? Looks like your description is up there, and only google reviews at this point.

just tweeting and ping services are my best bet. what about updating site maps?

I would definitely mix it up at least slightly. Either the audio or video. Maybe even 10 seconds of non identical data would be enough to be considered unique. Let us know how it works out!

You could script in that all organic traffic is displayed one number and all ppc another. Theory is that organically it's a consistent number across the board. Only ppc, or other sources would see a different number.

I would say it probably depends on competitiveness of vertical. If very competitive your going to have to find larger seo company with cash flow to work on side project till it's "in the money".

My load time went down by 50%. Non eCommerce though. I would say yes. However I would definitely look into all the variables with eCommerce. Should be great though.

Cloud Flare is the easiest I have found. MaxCDN is another I have heard of. And other hosting companies that may be in geographic regions you want your site to be close to can provide services as well.

I say Test it. Buy a 2 and 4/5 word domain for the same vertical and see which one ranks better faster.
