Is it a good idea to use custom email subject lines?
Any examples of acceptable or effective ways of using their name in the email?

Is a shorter subdomain better?
Go with subdirectories over subdomains for the reasons already mentioned. Also, a shorter URL is easier for consumers to remember so take that into consideration when coming up with your naming convention.

Is it okay to use anchor text almost exclusively for inbound links?
you should have enough of those names being generated naturally IE www.site.com, site.com, site so I wouldn't worry about wasting hard link building efforts just to add your domain name which you already should rank #1 for the trick is to use long tail variations - if your main keyword is "movie posters" then vintage movie posters selling old movie posters buy classic movie posters online and point them to matching optimized pages, not all to the same page.

Duplicate content error?
I figured it out. Turns out there were old pages that used the improper URL. They were very difficult to find haha

Did Google just release another massive update in September?
I don't think SEOMoz has that option but you can check out ahrefs and majesticseo - they both track backlinks gained/lost.

Why are pages linked with URL parameters showing up as separate pages with duplicate content?
Hi Looking at the screen shot I assume that you are using Google analytics custom campaign parameters. To resolve this issue I used the robots.txt file adding the following Disallow: /*?utm_ NOTE: Be very careful when blocking search engines. Test and test again!

What is the best approach to specifying a page's language?
I don't think so; it's still working for me. Here it is in cleartext: http://www.bing.com/community/site_blogs/b/webmaster/archive/2011/03/01/how-to-tell-bing-your-website-s-country-and-language.aspx

Does Google count the same article in different languages as duplicate content?
Exactly. And, the technical build of the site can help reduce duplicate content issues, even if there international SEO for the same language (think: US English vs UK English). Here's some great articles on this:http://blog.hubspot.com/blog/tabid/6307/bid/33358/9-Ways-to-Completely-Sabotage-Your-Global-SEO-Strategy.aspx, http://www.seomoz.org/blog/international-seo-dropping-the-information-dust, http://searchengineland.com/11-considerations-for-international-seo-117798

If a permanent redirect is supposed to transfer SEO from the old page to the new page, why has my domain authority been impacted?
I'd had good results doing page level redirects i.e. map each page on the old site to its closest corresponding counterpart on the new site. Just coming up with the redirect map can take many, many hours of work. For a Subject Matter Expert, I had to read hundreds of articles on both the old and new sites. Thankfully, I was interested in the subject!

How do I get our full domain link profile?
Hell David, I still miss Yahoo Site Explorer. It is funny how good some of the tools in Google are and how often we go in search of the holy grail only to return. Best,

Weird href - is it still a follow link?
Yes. It does not contain a nofollow-directive, so it'll work out. The onclick-eventhandler is used for linktracking. Users who have javascript disabled and search engines get a "real" link, while users who have javascript enabled will run the linkClick-function (which will probably ping the server or run a script that will redirect to the url).

Is there a way to select multiple pre-existing keywords and assign a category to all of them?
Yup - you categorize them by adding labels, David. On your Manage Keywords page, put a checkmark in the box at the beginning of each keyword to which you want to add a particular label (or labels). Then go to the Add/Clear Labels dropdown menu at the top right of the list. Put a checkmark on whatever label you want to apply to your selections (or use the Enter New Label Here box to create a new one to qpply). Click Add Labels in the same dropdown and those keywords will now inherit the labels you specified Paul

Duplicate content error?
@Streamline is right - as soon as the engines encounter both versions, they see it as two pages. It's no problem for human visitors, but it can create issues with duplicate URLs in the Google index. You can either 301-redirect the "index.asp" version back to the cleaner, root URL or use a canonical. ASP/.Net can be weird about 301s, so the canonical is probably easier. Generally, we suggest people canonical to the shorter/friendlier version, but the trouble here is that you're using the "/index.asp" version in your internal links. If you can change the internal links to the "/contact/" version, I'd prefer that, but if not, then set the canonical tag to the "/index.asp" version. The most important thing is consistency. If you link to one version but canonical to the other, Google could ignore your canonical tag. Put simply, your canonical URL isn't really canonical, in that case.
