I'm looking into competitors for a high volume keyword and reviewing their top ranked page to see what else they rank for in this category.

How is it possible that one page of theirs ranks for over 500 key phrases?

Using WMT data I saw brand impressions were high but clicks were down that month, this is on a range of brand keywords both brand name and variations, difficult because the brand name is key industrial, but can just be called 'key' which is generic.

What do you mean by the images?

We dropped in over a thousand visits to the homepage on brand so I wanted to find out why.

Also, our DA went from 36 to 34 - does Google panda affect domain authority at all?

Hi everyone

I am looking into this page on our site http://www.key.co.uk/en/key/sack-trucks

Just comparing it against competitors in SEMRush, the tool shows a wordcount of this page for over 4089 words, compared with http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Green-General-Purpose-Sack-Truck-200kg/p/500302 which only has 2658 - it has a lot more written content than our page - where is this word count coming from?

Also looking at the same page on our site Woorank suggests we have the word 'sack truck' in the h1 and title too many times - it's only there once, but its this showing because its an exact match keyword?

I'm just wondering if there is something wrong with the html or how the page is being crawed?

just seems like a really inconsistent number - or we are way out for something?

Can someone clarify what the URL link counts in the SERP report means? Is this total internal links on this page?

My followed internal links are very high compared with sites I am comparing against, some sites only have 1 internal followed link - is this possible? Have they simply no followed all the rest on that page?

They were down from 27th November to 24th December.

The issue with our redirects came from our entire web catalogue being deleted - another glitch when developers were working on something unrelated.

So between 27th Nov - 30th Nov the whole website apart from the homepage was pretty much gone.

Pretty big issues, which will take some time to rectify.

Thank you for the reply.

These weren't removed intentionally and have been put back as they were. However I'm just concerned about the fall out from this.

The issue was that rather than redirecting, they had removed 301's so the new URL was a 404 and the URLs reverted back to their old structure.

We shouldn't have lost any backlinks, I wasn't sure if it could be something else

I wanted to find out if anyone knew how to discover why DA may have dropped? Ours has gone from 26 to 25 - I know it's not much, but I wanted to find the reason.

One thing which happened was our developer company wiped redirects, which did impact rankings - would this also have affected domain authority or do I need to review our backlinks again?

I hope you are well. I have just started to use SEM Rush and wanted to find out how you isolate the competitors in a particular niche, before you start the project? I have looked at keyword research and then phrase match - just looking for the best place to start?

I'm finding that for the UK there is less data making it a little more difficult

Sure I'll give you an example, our menu has 6 main categories:

Storage, Office Trucks & Trolleys, Shelving & Racking, Pallet trucks + More Categories.

within more categories, we have 18 more category pages - one is Kitchen & Catering equipment, this has within it 10 subcategories, these don't appear in the menu.

You get to these once you click through the kitchen and catering page

I'm wondering if we should include these to the menu, so when you hover over the main category, the subcategories appear.

Would having this many links in the menu however, cause more issues for SEO
