Hi Barney, I have worked on many reputation management projects for various clients. And you can utilize the following items to add more brand serps. Social Profiles - Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus Video - Youtube Micro sites - Where applicable create additional sites that produce unique content and meet the brand's customer needs. Document sharing sites - Share documents such as PDF's that are from the client's website. Make sure you use the proper title, tags, and meta data. Image sharing sites - Distribute images related to the client and again ensure proper meta data is utilized. Press Releases - Distribute press releases.

Hi Barney, Thanks for letting us know. Sometimes when you click through to OSE from the MozBar, on rare occasions Open Site Explorer will drop the "www" and show you metrics for the incorrect subdomain. The best thing to do is make sure that you're reading the right subdomain in OSE. So if your url contains a "www" make sure it is entered in the OSE address bar, and if the URL you are checking doesn't have a "www" make sure this is also reflected in the address bar. I believe the engineers mostly fixed this bug recently, so it shouldn't come up to often. If you are seeing something else or this doesn't seem to fix it, be sure to let us know. Thanks! I thought it must be possible, but was just being a bit blind!

Just a thought...would it be more beneficial just to use a 301 redirect to redirect the domain to my main domain name? Would it retain the link domain authority?

Another reason for absolute would be that it prevents 404 errors if you forget to edit the rel links when you move pages around, add folders etc. One less thing to worry about.
