Currently your site has a pagerank of 0, although it is over 2 years old.  However, if this is a new keyword that you just started ranking for then sometimes you do what I refer to as the "Serp dance" where it will take about 2 to 3 weeks to stabilize.  The only recommendation is keep doing your back linking for that keyword until the rankings stabilize. However, it might be slow because of your page rank, unless there is little competition for the keyword.

Also, be aware that because "emergency power" is a broad keyword there could be a tremendous amount of competition that have that keyword and variations of it of which you are competing with.  I hope this helps.

Google has actually stated that they primarily prefer responsive sites over mobile sites mainly because it provides a better user experience, and they don't have to index the sites separately.  In terms of ranking, not sure, but where I work, we have gone with responsive design. Even though it takes longer to code, the functionality of the site remains the same.

I was using it and didn't really appreciate the functionality.  I switched over to using dublin core meta data plugin, i think that is also what the plugin is called.  Once configured you are able to put in whatever you want as metadata and I find it easier to do.  Hope that helps.

Yes, images do help in the search engine results and often get displayed as part of an image search, where Google gives you the options of images as your search.  However, do make sure that the alt tags are done correctly, and that your link points to something you want to. If you want to fully optimize it add a description and a caption, it never hurts.

The thing to be aware of though, most of the time the images will rank as opposed to the page the image is on. So there is the other half of the coin. Images can always help. Just be careful of where you link it to.  Hope this helps!

I am not sure what you are asking so this is my interpretation of what you are asking.  You want people who are going to abc.com to see what is on xyz.com? If that is the case, you can do a 302 redirect (temporary) so that they will automatically go to the xyz.com.  If that is not the case and you want people to still see abc.com and go to xyz.com as an option then just put a button at the top of the menu saying "check the look and feel of the new website" and have it direct to xyz.com.  I hope I understood this correctly, if not let me know.

It might be a 302 redirect like gmkrish said, which means that it will stay in the index.  Or that particular url has been linked to by others and therefore staying in the index.  Just hypothesizing.

Hey, here is what I would do:

1. Install a donate app onto your facebook fan page

a. Make sure that the charity has an account that the donations can go to (most use paypal)

2. Use your friend base and the friend base of your friends to promote your page by asking them to like it and sharing it. (Trying to make it viral)

3. Monitor the Facebook page for interactions and peoples comments so you can interact with them as the page.

4. have the Celebrities endorse your fan page by asking them to share it on their walls

5. Post content regularly so people get updated about the charity

Those are just some steps I would take in order to promote the charity.

It never hurts to be a contributor to a blog site.  Especially if the blog site has high PR.  It also puts your name out there and can garner your site traffic from that site (referral traffic).  Yes 20 links form different root domains help but they only help if they are pertinent and not spammy.  This does not sound like it is spam and in addition is most likely going to be contextual backlinks (higher juice).  I would recommend you do it, just my two cents.  Hope that helps.

I have to seo several sites like these and normally what i do is I make sure that the one page is fully optimized and then I add a blog section to the site which allows me to add more keywords naturally.  This I have found to be an effective way while still maintaining the site integrity and design.  It also allows you to provide fresh content to the site which makes the site not stale, which Google loves.  Just remember to have a schedule of adding fresh content to the site, make sure the content is over 400 words and just keep plugging away at it and you will increase the amount of keywords you are ranking for as long as you are keeping your back linking strategy and not only doing onsite optimization.  Hope that helps.

What CMS are you using?  If it is wordpress, there is a plugin that allows you to configure when google is asked to crawl your site and you can set it up so that they only crawl your "archives" monthly and set up how often you have new content on the site.  it is called WP Robots Txt

Unfortunately i had the same job a couple of months ago to find people to write about new website design we did for a hotel.  The truth of the matter is, in my experience mind you, there are very few news sites talking about web design except for those design galleries that will write about something submitted to them, and even then they won't always do it.  However, if you did do a web design for an industry you might want to get writers from that industry to write about the new website rather than just the web design community.  That was the way I went about it because I couldn't find exactly what you are looking for.  Hope that helps.
