RE: Site map generator & On site map
I use Microsft IIS Server to host my sites and it comes with a sitemap generator, but its manual, you need to click on the pages you want. for a site as large as yours this is a bit time consuming, but then, I would not put all pages into it.
sitemap generators that auto create the sitemap, do not know what pages are important.
Most sites have landing pages and distibution pages (those that link to sub content) i would include those

RE: Duplicate content - canonical vs link to original and Flash duplication
Both
But definatly Canonical

RE: Internal Followed Links:
Agreed, one other thing i noticed was a lot of redirects from "http://www.psbspeakers.com/home to "http://www.psbspeakers.com"
This i believe would be doing you a lot of harm.
Linking back to teh home page correctly is very important.
reading this page will explain it. (ignore outdated stuff about inbound links can not harm you)

RE: At what point is the canonical tag crawled
Yes i think you are better off putting your time into fixing the canonical tag on the server side. It may even look sus doing what you are doing.
I would go to WMT and view as google bot and see how they see it, i think they will read the tag before any js.

RE: Site map generator & On site map
You are not meant to put every page into the sitemap. You ar meant to put in the most important pages. If you persiste in putting every page, Bing and proabably google will ignore your sitemap.xml.
They need to be acurate or they will not be believed, the lastmod and changefreq should be as correct as posible.
This info came from Duane Forrester from Bing

RE: At what point is the canonical tag crawled
Do you mean follow the canonical?
Eitehr way logic would suggestthat the page is read first. As html tags have a begining and end tag, trying to crawl a half loaded page would not work untill the end tags are read.
I am curiouse as to why you would want to know this?

RE: Internal Followed Links:
Your robots.txt is blocking 570 internal links.
You also have 442 unnessasary redirects. an example
The link to "http://www.psbspeakers.com/articles/HCC-Imagine-home-theater-review" has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://www.psbspeakers.com/articles/HCC-Imagine-Home-Theatre-Review".
you should 301 redirect to all lowercase, and you should make sure that all yout internal links pioint to the lowercase version.

RE: Set a desination url to text that did not have it previously
No not al all. If you were trying to rank for the term "this template" it could be argued that you are giving relevance to the destination page at your exspence. But i doubt you are trying to rank for that term.

RE: Change campaign domain name
Thanks, i have already done this. I wanted to keep my ranking history, but i will do without it
Thanks for your research
-
RE: Change campaign domain name
Thanks but I want to change the domain name, not simply the name.
i could not see how you can change the domain name.

RE: The perfect work environment?
I am going to sound mean here; but I suggest an office environment free from any play things or distractions. If someone spends half an hour on an xbox will not suddenly snap back in to full production. You are better of letting them go home early as a reward for getting things done.
Discourage social activities that invoice work time in either participation or organization. Better still get rid of such people, along with rule makers, sign makers and those that like to find things to be offended by.
If you want happy workers hire people who truly love there job, not those that just say they do during a job interview. People that like there job tend to work hard and accomplish things, and visa-versa, people who work hard and accomplish things tend to like their jobWith no distractions it is amazing what people get done.
Somewhere there will be a competitor with people that work hard all day and will eventually put you out of business. Even if you have a big head start of your competitions that is rarely the case for ever, and it is hard to get a work force productive when they are used to being non productive. -
RE: Stolen CONTENT?
Use canonical tags in all your pages, you are telling the SE that it is your content you have a good chance that search engines will give you the original content credit if they pick yours up first, and if somone steals your content, there is a good change they will take your canonical tag with it pointing back to your site

RE: Not sure to see the real value of SeoMoz!
Yes you can buy thousonds of links but they wont do you much good long term, and could get you introuble with SE's.
Often when you see that sort of link count they are cheap links, not really worth much. but I am sure they must have a few good links amung them.
I have often been able to beat sites that have heaps of links by having very cean code site with perfect crawlabilty.
If you give me your url, I will tell you if I can see some easy gains, if you dont want to make your url public you can send by personal message

RE: How many jumps between 301 redirects is acceptable?
The answer is one.
Alhouth I have seen Matt Cutts (Google) state they follow more then one, each hop including the first leaks juice, he also stated they do not keep following but did not give a number
Bing states one.

RE: URL Structure Question
What happens when you naviaget to these urls,
[http://www.example.com/page/](http://www.example.com/page/)and[http://www.example.com/page](http://www.example.com/page)do they resolve to one or the other, or do both render the page? The answer is to 301 to one or the other, and make sure you are not using both formats in your site.
