  • Well i decided to give old product pages a 301 redirect, as long there is traffic on the url's, this wil be the best solution for this site. To leave the page up with a canonical, will create a messy site at the end. Thanx for all your replies! Grtz, Leonie

  • Hey Victor! It appears you have a duplicate Google page which will need to be changed or removed as the one in the list is being returned to us by Google. You can search for your business to match the correct page by purchasing the listing from this list: https://moz.com/local/search/echoshield Pest control houston/77018 Click on the business name and then click on the Improve with Moz Local button under the listing score. Let me know if this helps!

  • I would argue against Fiverr, not just on the grounds that it cheapens the landscape, but mostly due to the quality.  I tried using it multiple times from semi-technical and click bait style articles and every time the quality was poor to the point that editing them took more time and effort then just writing them would have been. I agree with Alberto about Odesk.com, it is a great resource to find freelance writers with.

  • While I'm not sure how sophisticated Google's algo is at picking this up, Google's people reviewers would probably note it as suspicious. Again I'd ask why? What business advantage does this give you? (Wil Reynolds has famously said that when something sounds fishy or not the best practice ask why 5 times. In the Skype example, the why is language of the users. It's not spammy because it does something clear and obvious to help the user. Whereas your URL just looks like keyword stuffing.

  • Thanks David, I most of my clients are professionals, so I get several listings for the practice name and then several listings for each doctor plus the practice name. I think the information is being scrapped from some professional association groups.  New ones keep popping up each month, mainly coming from Yahoo and its affiliates.

  • Hi James, I agree with Richard on this - you want to aim for the traffic that is most relevant to your client. For a small business, ranking organically just for health insurance is likely to be out of the question, but ranking locally for health insurance in his small town should be achievable.

  • Hi There Red! What is the client's actual relationship to customers in Boston? Is there one? A few more details on this might help.

  • If it's a period of 2 weeks and you're going to do it anyways, I would just make the new content and not go to the expense of setting up redirects and then taking them down, which can cause issues when you plan on recreating a URL.

  • Hi Uzair, 1. Is my Keyword density too high and will Google look at this as keyword stuffing? There is no magic number when it comes to keyword density. Rule of thumb is somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-6 times per post depending on it's length. Although 41 certainly sounds like a lot,the better question is "does it sound forced or stuffed"? I suggest you ask for a fresh, unbiased opinion. If feedback says it does, the quality of your post will suffer and readers will exit the page more frequently. Lessen the use of those terms if it does sound forced or unnatural. Try using a similar or related term like "fruit" from time-to-time instead. 2. Do I have to target each Singular and Plural keyword individually? Or will targeting 'Apple' will also automatically target 'Apples' for me and vice versa? You should try to use each term at least once. Google will consider "apple" and "apples" close variations of one another, meaning it will consider them one in the same. A close variation includes misspellings, singular and plural forms, acronyms, stemmings (such as post and posting), abbreviations, and accents. You might gain a slight advantage by using one versus the other so I'd use your primary keyword phrase (containing apple or apples) in the title tag, meta description and headings.
