  • While a penalty is possible, if you do not see any "Manual Actions" within your Google Search Console account, this is likely a ranking change due to a recent algorithm update. I would check into Google Search Console & Google Analytics to see if search impressions and organic traffic have actually dropped any, and then look into your links to see if you have lost any.

  • The purpose of the <base> tag is to set a base domain for linking to elements within it. Basically, what the base tag does is if you set your <base href="moz.com"> and you link within the document to "/community/q", then the link will take the user to "moz.com/community/q". There is no effect in SEO besides the fact that you will be creating backlinks to the base site for each element that is referred directly, without a URL. • The content owner is something separate, where you register the content as unique and original. Theoretically, that way you would have the "right" to determine where the content can get posted/shared or not, and you will have the right to remove the video if other people share it, and even let it there and get the ad revenue that is generated from the said video. You can learn more about content ID here. Daniel Rika - Dalerio Consulting https://dalerioconsulting.com/ info@dalerioconsulting.com

  • Hey there! You would want to update the domain for the competitor in campaign settings. We recommend pulling any reports you would like to keep on your historical competitors, as once those are updated, the old competitor data is lost. Hope that helps to clarify, let me know if you have further questions.

  • For sure there would have been better ways but it was the only option at the time. Like I said, its a very long story short on the image. Now, with that said, I have inspected the URL in GSC and it is indexed and ready to be shown by Google but the rankings have not come back.

  • You can make product pages more robust by including an FAQ section or writing a more detailed description. If you are reselling a product, it can also help to include the product # or manufacturers id on the page as well.

  • That’s something I’ve seen. Credentialed folks taking up much more space in the first pages of the SERPS. I don’t have credentials, and will not be spending the time / money in that direction, but I see the advice in many of these higher ranking results, and it’s often used and abused / recycled info that doesn’t do the job, or outright incorrect (I know my stuff, not a hack job ;). But yes, you bring up another concern of mine... Is what I AM unfixable. Thing that gives me some light / hope are some of sites taking up high rankings are not credentialed at all either. One is a kid in his mid / late 20s who writes about SEO / Marketing and... random sex articles? I believe he’s a social / outreach / networking phenom though, has links from super high DA sources. Get Roman and For Hims are obviously purely commercial, but have money for high ranking placement and to get MDs to write articles. There are also several “pick up artist” and “alpha method” ”bro type sites” with no credentials, (and some with very little links built to them), ranking for mediocre content... All this gives me hope to stay in there, but I’ve definitely seen the trend you’re mentioning here...

  • Hi seoanalytics, Could you please reply with the articles or comments where its said that? Actually, it happens completely the opposite, when an algorithm update happens we see big movement in rankings. They've said that they deploy several updates each week, but most of them are minor. Here that recent official tweet: https://twitter.com/searchliaison/status/1194365017073700864 Hope it helps. Best luck Gaston

  • The reviews only make a small part of the site's content, so they wouldn't be enough for the page to be marked as duplicate. It is a very common tactic to include reviews from other sites, so it is safe to assume that they won't be of any harm to your rankings. • Here are a few facts about Domain Authority: To calculate Domain Authority, over 40 signals are taken into consideration. Websites that rank higher on search engines tend to have a high DA. High Domain Authority -> high search engine rankings -> more traffic. You cannot increase your DA without improving your websites SEO. Make sure your website is optimised. Your main focus should be on your content. You need to publish great content and then earn high quality links to your site. If you do this your DA should increase over time.

  • I don't think there is much risk in this unless they are expired domains with a bunch of spammy links pointing to them. However, I don't imagine you will see much if any ranking improvements from doing this.

  • If I'm understanding your question right, there are various sub-pages on the directory, and you want to redirect the directory and not the sub-pages. In that case, the only damage to SEO would be the ranking given from the directory page, so you would have one less internal link. It will be the same as redirecting any page/post that links back to the sub-pages, so in most cases, it won't be noticeable unless the directory page itself that links to the sub-pages is highly ranked. • Hi Since November we migrated our shop from Magento 1 to 2 and our organic traffic has dropped by 50%. We still haven't figured out the cause (or a solution). But our developer has found out that Magento 2 handles Javascripts in a different way which causes a very bad result at Google PageSpeed Check. We have been in contact with magento and they advise to partly bundle Javascripts and partly offer separate files. Have you also had this problem? Is your organic traffic back to the level it was before the migration? Charlotte (www.dochorse.nl)
