SUMO Me / Social Sharing / Like Buttons
Great answers here by Josh and Alan. I'll touch upon the informational/blog pages and social buttons. Social share buttons can be great on Informational pages, sure to get people to share your content, but a lot of the benefit is for social proof. Pat Flynn has a great episode about social proof here. Check it out. Keep in mind social share numbers can work against you if they are low. Also, I'd add social buttons only for the networks your target audience is most likely to be using. I recently started checking out the SumoMe suite of tools. I was pretty impressed on first glance - I think there's a lot you can do with heat maps, content analytics and analytics integration which help you measure the results of each piece of informational content.

New Website Old Domain - Still Poor Rankings after 1 Year - Tagging & Content the culprit?
THANK YOU so much for your detailed response and effort! You bring up some important points for me to address. Though I can probably take the time to learn and fix a couple of the issues you pointed out, it's admittedly a very overwhelming situation to have gotten burned twice in the past two years by SEO & marketing companies. Being a wedding bandleader is actually a very time consuming job requiring many hats. I joined MOZ Pro a few months ago and have difficulty even reading through or viewing the intro videos in that the lingo, followup on basic tasks, etc. -there's so much to take in and even set up. I realize my weekly reports don't mean alot if I can't put the time in. For me to take a shot at one of the items you suggested for example: increasing my loading time, which is crucial as you mentioned - sounds like it could get pretty drawn out, and potentially done incorrectly (by me). As SEO practices change frequently, my lack of tech experience is contributing to a downturn of business after several decades, not for lack of effort! Is there a possibility we could chat by phone, or could you recommend some I could contact? I would like to make a priority list and see if I could hire you, or a referral, to fix some of the issues you had pointed out, without creating a muddled situation. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity. Respectfully, John Harris John@shineband.com jharris28@comcast.net 781 545 6011

Suite Numbers and Schema
Miriam here, signed into Mozzer Alliance at the moment. Yes, include the suite number within span tags, definitely. You are also right that Google wants suites in the second address line, but for Schema purposes, do include them within the address section.

Is healthygallbladder.com a spammy site?
Good move! This recently happened to my site as well; someone created an account and then sent thousands of sites from over 100 domains to that page. Best to disavow.

Do ratings/reviews show up in Organic Search Results anymore?
Hi Ruben, Back in 2014, Google stated that they don't want markup on testimonials on your website. You can read about this here and figure out how you'd like to proceed, given this policy: http://www.localsearchforum.com/google-local/26385-say-what-google-says-dont-add-review-markup-your-customer-reviews.html This caused quite a bit of talk at the time, and I don't believe all sites are complying, but important to know. Regarding third party reviews you are republishing on your site, I have not seen individual reviews coming up with stars on them for some time, but this seems to change so frequently. For example, up until recently, I was seeing Facebook listings coming up in Google's SERPs with stars on them. Now, that appears to have changed. So, I'm not sure what, if anything, you could do right now to get individual reviews posted on your website to show up with stars in the SERPs. If anyone has seen a different pattern, please do share with Ruben!

Is there a purpose to the "google my business" description?
Hey Neil, Smart topic, and yes, you are right that Google has stopped showing the description in pretty much any relevant place. It's still showing on Google+ Local pages, but as almost no links exist to Google+ Local pages anymore, few people are likely to ever seen the description. Nevertheless, the description is information you are giving to Google about your business, even if they don't display it. So, in my opinion, it's still worth it to write a good, non-spammy description. On a side note, I find it particularly weird that a couple of GMB dashboard updates ago, Google went to the trouble of allowing rich text in the description. That seemed like a great feature. But, it's become of rather minimal value now, with the description being all but absent from what the typical user will see.

None of the pages crawled contain an email address or links to a social profile...
I wonder whether Moz would count your social profiles in the website schema as links? Because then you wouldn't need to get rid of the official Facebook and Twitter buttons (if you don't want to). All you'd need to do is chuck this in your code: If Moz are just checking the source for the links, maybe that's all they'd need. And Schema is always good

.Com version of my site is ranking better than .co.uk for my UK Website for branded search. 301 redirect mess
Hi Russ, I don't quite understand why I would need to add hreflang tags. I don't have .com versions of any of my pages, I only have a .com dominant homepage when I do search for my branch name in serps. Or am I missing something here ? Can you please explain a bit more ? thanks Pete

On Page Grader Help
I'm interested to know the answer to this also, but I think it depends on the keyword, as the page is graded relatively.

How to rank same business page in different locations?
To add to what Miriam has said, there is no quick or easy answer to "how to rank organically". My best suggestion is to start with the Moz Beginner's Guide Chapter 4 (Basics of Search Engine Friendly Design and Development) and go from there. Of course, if you do come up with questions as you go, feel free to post them in the Moz Q&A. There are lots of people who are willing to help. Be as specific as you can to get the best response.

Can using url builder for campaign tracking impact link equity?
Hi there CSobus, According to Matt Cutts, "custom URL shorteners are essentially like any other redirect... and will pass page rank to the final destination". The negative impact would be the same as with any other redirect, like when you set up a chain of redirects that dilutes your link equity.
