How to improve internal linking for automotive reseller website?
Hi, How significant did the ranking increase? Would you be able to go into more detail on how you approached the websites. Since each one would be in different location. Would you take a different approach from a destination location then a high traffic area location. Thank You! Scott

404 Pages increasing day by day. Why??
Hi Michael! As you know, soft 404s can negatively impact the traffic to your website. I found a blog that could be helpful for you! It thoroughly discusses what a soft 404 is, how it impacts your website, and most importantly, how to get rid of them on your website. Read that blog here: https://www.hallaminternet.com/what-are-soft-404-errors-will-they-affect-rankings/ Hope this helps - if not let me know and I would love to help you figure this out!

301 Redirect Question
Hi Matt, To answer your question directly, the website provider may or may not handle 301 redirects themselves depending on your agreement with them. If they are responsible for website development and maintenance, then it would likely be their responsibility to ensure the website is running properly. However, the factors behind the use of a redirect mean they may not cover that aspect. Typically, a redirect is used for re-branding purposes or to direct greater link juice throughout your website. In other words, it is an additional service that likely isn't covered in a contract unless that was the specific purpose of hiring them. In terms of choosing between the www. and the naked URL version - anyone conducting a 301 redirect should have have been clear to redirect one way or the other as mixing them up creates separate URL link chains. That being said, authority and relevance can still run through your website since you have on-site factors like Title Tags to take care of this. From what you have provided I can agree with Mike in saying there doesn't seem to be much to worry about here with regards to the redirects set up on your website. Some people like to have consistency across their domain - some like naked URLs and others don't. There are benefits to both decisions, but in terms of what you are asking - the impact will be very small and likely won't hurt you in terms of rankings. Hope this helps and reach out to me if you have any further questions. All the best, Rob

SEO for a UGC Question and Answers Platform
I don't believe they currently do this. So reorganizing, rewording + adding additional info/links would make the resource pages even better. Just be sure to give credit where it's due.

Do we get "Removal of "nofollow" from first custom URL on profile" when we cross 200 Moz Points? I have not received it yet, anything I can do?
Hi Vinodh, How long has it been since you crossed the 200 point mark? I had a previous Moz profile and when I hit 200 points it took about 6 weeks to show up as a follow link on my site. This accounts for the month Moz takes to identify those that cross the 200 point mark and 2 weeks of crawling and indexing to ensure it shows up in the link profile. Hope this helps, Rob

Should an SEO firm ever guarantee link building results by quantity?
Josh, You knew the answer before you wrote the question but it is a smart question. As someone who works daily in an agency and is responsible for most of our proposals, I see this regularly around link building, ranking, website development, etc. Client comes in and says we need a new website and we quote $15,000. Client says we have someone who can build the same website for $5,000. "Fantastic, you will save $10K!" Someone says we need to be ranked in top three of Google for our terms, how much will that cost? "I don't know as we do not guarantee rankings of any kind." Yes, you can add more to that, but you understand. So, with link building if you know the others are guaranteeing X amounts of high quality links I am assuming the client told you this. If so, my answer would be "That is great, I have been doing SEO a long time and am unable to make those kinds of guarantees. I wish you the very best." Of course, you could be tacky, "Once that is finished, should you run into trouble, we do penalty recovery!" I had to write this as it really is funny that people still don't get this stuff. Matt in our UK office said something the other day that cracked me up about a potential client who had a huge huge huge SEO problem and said they would pay $3k one time to get 2 million pages indexed within a month after they had gotten most of their pages to disappear somehow. He said, "Pay peanuts, get monkeys!" Sometimes the monkeys will beat you out for a client; let it go and move on. Best

How can you add custom Structured Data to a website hosted on Squarespace?
We have found adding Schema via JSON-LD pretty straight forward and easier than inline, see: https://developers.google.com/schemas/formats/json-ld Normally we would put this type of schema in via GTM but Squarespace has issue adding custom code in the body tags. That being said you should be able to add your JSON-LD script of schema directly in the head with no issue. Good Luck

Multiple Common Page Links
I've set up a new redesign of our page to reduce the number of links per item from 4 to 1. We are also going to reduce the number of items from 30. The challenge here is that in some cases, there really are more than 30 items that are relevant (e.g. not related, but actually part of the list as they should be). We've got some thinking to do as to whether or not we do pagination or incremental load.

Recovery from manual penalty, several sites sell same products
Just because you had your manual penalty lifted, doesn't mean the algo penalty (mainly penguin) was lifted as well. Be sure to check up on your anchor distribution to make sure it isn't over optimized. That being said, we had a site in a similar scenario and ended up switching to another domain after a lack of results for a while. Depending on the extent of the negative SEO, it might be the easiest solution.
