Can you add a "Show All" to Rankings Pagination?
Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. I'm so sorry that the new pagination feature in keyword rankings isn't conducive to your workflow! We were definitely aiming at making an improvement, not making it more difficult for you to get at the data you need. I'll make sure to bring this up with our product team when we meet to discuss our users' feedback - a Show All button might be something we can get into the tools to help alleviate this pain in the neck. I'm not sure about a timeline for getting such a feature into the app, but I'll definitely make a point of bringing it up with the team. Thanks for writing in to let us know that something wasn't working for you - we want to be the best Moz we can be, and insight like this helps us figure out how to get there.

Unlinked mentions that seem to be FROM by site
Hey There, thanks for writing in and sorry that you are running into this issue. The Unlinked Mentions query should automatically be including the search operator -rd:yourdomain.com when you go to that tab. For example, when I go to that tab while researching moz.com, the system autofills the mentions field with the search query: moz OR moz.com -rd:moz.com. The -rd: operator means "exclude this rootdomain." Can you tell me if that operator is not being included automatically when you go to that tab or if you are removing it from the query? I tested this feature for a number of sites and the operator was correctly included automatically on all of the tests I've run, so I'm not certain why you may be running into issues with the operator. Any further details you can provide will help me dig into this further.

Massive drop in rankings alert!
Hi Rebecca, Yes the content on each city is unique (not great, but unique). When they were on subdomains they were absolute replicas of each other apart from city name switches and maybe some short intro text, but other than that, complete copies. Now those old subdomains get forwarded on to each new subfolder page so; city-location.maincompany.com gets forwarded to maincompany.com/uk/city-location/ Alex

Is anyone aware of stats stating how many people abandon pages the deeper they get in a site?
Hello, If you have access to the analytics of a site you can look in Behaviour and then see the Behaviour Flow. This will break down the pages people land on, how many click through, and how many drop off at each point in their journey. I hope this is of some help, Cheers, Luke

Community Discussion: Can 10x content be short-form content?
If one is creating content that is addressing to the target audience and answer their questions, clearing their confusing it’s a good content, and we have several great examples of it. Let’s say if someone is new to the SEO, Moz’s beginners guide to SEO will answer all their questions and clearing all the possible confusions that a person will have in his head with regards to SEO. To me, 10X content is something that not only answers the questions or clearing the confusions but also nurtures the reader to go a step further. For instance, if someone is looking for live chat software… the content that shows you the list of tools to choose from (with pros and cons of each tool) is a good content… it’s answering the question. But, 10X content is when you move further and tell them wherever software you use, this is how you should be using it to get the maximum out of it. This way you are not only answering the question but you are also educating them further…this according to me is a 10X content. Ideally, I think 10X content has nothing to do with the length of content. I don’t really have to give the examples of “ultimate guides” that offer nothing new to the audience. On the other hand, Rand’s post is kinda example of 10X content that actually motivate people to get out of the long-form short-form content formula… In my opinion, length of the content has nothing to do with 10X content. As far as you are answering your audience’s question, clearing their confusions and nurturing them to think and act further you are creating 10X content and you should be proud of it. I may be wrong but this is what I think about 10X content.

AJAX requests and implication for SEO
Hi - right, then if the URL changes for the user, you'll want to probably use the PushState method (linked above) to convey this to Google. They likely can't see the URL change by default. You can check by trying to crawl the site with Screaming Frog SEO Spider with the user agent set to Googlebot. Then go to "outlinks" for the page with the facet links, and see if they are listed. Hope that helps some more! Let me know if you need further direction. -Dan

Q: At what point in time should I submit a "corrected" NAP to MOZ Local in the process of cleaning up NAP in the directory ecosystem?
Generally we expect listing update on our partner directory sites within 8 to 12 weeks. Moz Local focuses on updating your listing with Factual, Foursquare, Neustar/Localeze, Infogroup, Best of the Web, Acxiom, Citysearch, CityGrid, Bing and Superpages. You can update your listing information with our non-partner sites at any time you like! Moz Local will monitor places like YP, Yelp, Hotfrog, Google, and Facebook on your behalf to help identify duplicates and inconsistencies. I hope that helps!

Is site: a reliable method for getting full list of indexed pages?
Keep in mind that for a site:domain.com search, Google now includes pages from OTHER SITES that are using the canonical tag to point to your site. So, even though it says there are 300 pages indexed, 30 of those pages might be on other sites that use the canonical tag pointing to your site. The numbers of pages indexed that you're looking at may not be entirely accurate because of this.

Will Google Data Highlighter support other schemas?
Maureen, I wanted to be sure, so did a bit of research and there are a very limited set of markups using the highlighter. Here is the list that is similar to what you see in the dropdown on the highlighter. Given how long the highlighter has been available, my guess would be we won't see anything else that this works with. I am not sure why, but it has stayed like this for a long time. Best

Redirecting main www. subdomain to new domain. Can you then create a new subdomain on the old domain?
I have done this many times and if you are sending the redirects to appropriate urls on the other site this is a non issue. I have done it with sites with 100K links. If they were in some way buying non relevant domains and redirecting that would be different.

Keeping external links after moving from http to https?
We moved a lot of client sites over to HTTPs from HTTP. We always use the proper 301 Permanent Redirects, and there is no loss of rankings as far as we can tell. When it comes to links in particular, if you 301 redirect one page to another on the same domain name, you will NOT lose any link value. The key here is that it's a redirect on the same domain name. If you are moving from HTTP to HTTPs, make sure you verify the site in Google Search Console and update Google Analytics, as you will see a loss of data if you don't update those.

What Metadata should one use multi country directory
I'm assuming you include these tags for Facebook's benefit, because if you want to send localization signals to Google, it's better to use hreflang. Hreflang allows a comprehensive range of countries and languages: you can combine any two values from the ISO-639-1 list of language codes and the ISO-3166-1 Alpha 2 list of countries. The locales supported by Facebook are a lot more limited. You can't have en-IT for English speakers in Italy, for example, because Facebook doesn't support that value. Facebook only allows the following English-language locales: UK English: en-GB US English: en-US English (India): en-IN English (Pirate): en-PI English (Upside Down): en_UD You can see Facebook's full list of supported locales on this page. So the answer is that it won't matter where your users are. What will matter to Facebook is the style of English you use. If you write in British English, you should use en-GB, and if you use US spellings then use en-US.

How to rank high on 'locksmith london'?
As a new site, your best hope is to rank for longtail keywords, something like "best locksmith in london open 24/7" or the thousands of other variations on that. Your best shot is to create one super epic, informative detailed guide on everything locksmiths in London. Something longer, more informative, and more interesting than anything your competitors are doing. Then, like the other commenters have said, continue to build strong links from quality domains.

Parking page for domain names
Even though there are thousands of domain names involved, I wouldn't expect for this to have any positive effect on your site's SEO (or rankings). The problem is that these domain names aren't trusted--they aren't going to have any Domain Authority, they're hosted most likely on the same server (or class C block of IPs), and the content isn't unique to each site. For SEO and ranking purposes, unfortunately you have all of those things counting against you. In order for a site or a domain to help, it needs unique content, higher Domain Authority, and links to it. This shouldn't stop you from using those domains to your benefit, though. I would, however, either put up an ad that contains a link, or put a text link on the pages. I would also make sure those are "nofollow" links. Suddenly if you have 20,000 sitewide links to your site from "low quality", thin content domains, that could actually throw up a red flag and hurt your site's current rankings.

Duplicate Content - Different URLs and Content on each
This should also lend some perspective as to why SEOs typically recommend at least 250 unique words per page ... I think with Google paying more attention to Main Content separate from supplemental, etc. code uniqueness may be less relevant than it has been in the past... but overall, you should still strive to ensure your pages have a clear distinct purpose/value conveyed by the main content of the page that is easily distinguishable from other pages of your site.

Are the prepositions and separate letters in URL bad for website optimization?
Thanks Ipegiro... My point exactly on saying "unless they are creating value within the url"... as obviously "bunny-on-stool" has a completely different meaning than "bunny-stool".. Cheers -Jake
